Ed004. Just a quick on, I don't really understand why we are chasing 2 defensive midfielders. Wouldn't one defensive mid and another one who can press ie. Marchisio or Pjanic be a better solution for UTD? Also Kovacic very cheap and Liverpool looking hot on his heels. Will we make an effort or are Liverpool snug in with him?
{Ed004's Note - If rumours are to be believed we are looking at Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and Gundogan. The first two are mostly defensive minded but Gundogan is more attacking minded and Schneiderlin can play the Fellaini role easily enough or Herrera could push forward more}

I think it's worth keeping in mind that Herrera has had a top first season and can only get better. Folk are again clambering over themselves to see Di Maria in the middle of the pitch and with Mata's excellent end to the season I am sure we would like to see him incorporated into the system next year.
Add to that Carrick has still got it if the last campaign is anything to go by, Blind is able to step up when needed and Felliani (who I still believe will be a major player next season regardless of who comes through the door) has had a stellar season himself. Depending on incomings Wayne may be also relegated to the CM midfield role.
Sometimes too many incomings isn't always the best way to go. We have some good players at the moment.

If we have central midfield options of Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Carrick, Herrera and Fellaini then I'm happy with that.
