I haven't been following him long enough to know but he seems to be pretty highly regarded. He is adamant with this one and is putting his reputation on the line for it.

So I'm hearing thiago's father has just flew back to Spain from Manchester to tell Barcelona thiago wants to go to united. It is believed Barcelona are going to try and convince him to stay. Fingers crossed the deal goes through. If only he hadn't scored that hat trick in the final the deal would most likely of been done already.

Is anybody else worried that we are going to be blown out the water this summer as far as transfers are concerned. Looks like we are going to sell rooney one of our best players, along with some of the dead wood which is fair enough. But I'm worried that the top players in the world will be out of our reach because of money issues and I think the fact sir Alex could attract these players himself. I will be really gutted if we decide to sell a player like rooney and not bring in a player that will at least fill the void he leaves.

1.) We'd need Neil Ruddock to fill any void left by Rooney if he has another summer like he did last year.
2.) Kagawa will step right in to that spot, get a good midfielder and winger and we will be set.
3.) Laughable, a good winger and a midfielder and we'll be set? What rubbish.
If we sell Rooney, then we will regret it. We'll need to replace him as we'll only have three strikers left. Welbeck scores five goals a season and if rvp gets injured then, we are screwed.
Our midfield consists of carrick and kagawa. The rest are totally no it up to the task at united. We will need at least another two midfielders to even compete domestically, let alone in Europe.
Nani, young, Valencia, the lot of them can go if I'm honest, they are useless and have underperformed. So one world class winger is required.
Left back, I'm glad of the interest in shaw, evra played well last year but I think he needs to be replaced sooner rather than later.
Central defence needs reinforcements as smalling is average, Jones is not good positional defender, Evans is good but injured a lot, Rio and vidic only have a season left in them at best.
As for the original poster, I agree entirely, we will not nuy anyone of note, thiago is supposed to be the big name, but he can't hold a spot in barca midfield and has serious discipline issues, so why bring him here. The press mentioned Ronaldo, but he'll go to PSG or Chelsea. Bale might stay or go to Madrid. Lewindawski will motive to Bayern who already have a ridiculously strong team and now one of the best managers in the world.
I see a summer of more average signings playing for an untried trophyless manager for a club whose owners care more about how much money they make rather than ensuring we have a world class team in this great club of ours. Everyone laughs at comments kloot has made in the past, but he's right. We just go along and now that saf has gone, there is only one way we'll go, downhill. Unless the owners are prepared to back the manager properly and show us their ambitions match ours as fans.
