If it is true Chelsea have bid 20 mil for matic, surely we should go that bit further for him?!
1.) Matic is so slow, he's like Fellaini - may be a bit better but he is not the fast paced midfielder that we need.

After hearing the quotes from Gotze regarding his apparent unhappiness at Bayern, any thoughts of bringing him in?

I would love to see Utd sign Gotze. Great player who can play wide left or right as a front three or in the number 10 role.
If we could sign him, as much as I like mata, I would try and use mata in a swap deal for Otamendi.
That just leaves a striker and a goal keeper on the wish list.
Ciilesen and lees doeskin would be my first choices, but if bayern sell gotze there would be no chance of them selling the big pole.

I like Goetze but I think we are looking for someone with more pace than him at the moment. He is a great little player on his day but I think Pedro (even though I am not his biggest fan) is the type of player we need as he is fast and direct.

Moreno or Shaw? Which would be the better player in the long term?
1.) Shaw, but Moreno is probably better now. Both good players though.
2.) Cant say I've seen much of the other fella but luke shaw in my opinion has the potential to be the best leftback on the planet. the kid has all the tools

4.) That depends massively on the system and the league they're playing in IMO.
Moreno for example is very similar to Marcelo, absolutely incredible going forward but has a little work to do defensively.
Moreno would also be better in a narrow system, like the modern 4-2-3-1 with inverted wingers of a 4-4-2 diamond.
Shaw on the other hand is very similar to (although a RB) Zabaleta, very physical, relatively quick, still offers a lot going forward, is very good defensively.
I actually think Shaw is currently the better of the two, and I think he will end up being the better of the two however, if Moreno moves to Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, etc. then eventually he'll be known as the best LB on the planet - even though hhe perhaps won't be.

With Roma retiring the number 10 shirt after Totti has hung up his boots, do you think it would be fitting if we did the same for Giggs? Seeing Ashley Young wear number 18 still pains me to this day, I don't think it would be right to give it the 11 to another player
1.) I reqlly hate this shirt retiring stuff, what are teams going to to do in a few years when they retire 1, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
2.) I don't go along with all this retiring of shirt numbers. it's good to have numbers being worn by players that have a history and a tradition and this shouldbe continued.
it also should go to someone special and inspire players and make them feel special to wear it. someone like Adnan would be deserving of it in my opinion.
3.) Retiring shirt numbers is just plain stupid and pointless, what does it achieve exactly apart from showing a mark of respect to a legend who will most likely think its just a whole load of fuss for no reason. i'm pretty sure in years to come giggs will be proud of the way januzaj is tearing teams apart in his shirt.
4.) Personally I love it that we have a regular number 1, 2, 3, 8, 10 on the pitch, I think its a shame to not have these numbers and I still miss seeing a number 7 and 9. I wonder who will get the number 7?
5.) I also agree retiring shirt numbers is stupid unless in an extremely rare case for example a player suffers a horrible accident and dies only then it makes sense as a genuine mark of respect.
I'd love to see Adnan in the number 11 shirt, it's fitting for a pacey, young left footed wing wizard out of the youth academy ;)

I completely agree! Except for the fact that Shaw is a good crosser. I've not seen him find a man with a cross the entire time he has been here
