For those on here too young to remember when Sir Matt retired, and the debacle that followed, and continued much until Sir Alex arrived, let there be no mistake this is a very, very sad day. Sir Alex has been a total genius and will be sorely missed. As we look to the replacement it all appears to be pointing to Moyes. I fear the worst - a rabbit caught in the headlights comes to mind, lacking in European experience, no reputation to attract the big names, no experience of big money deals and not much of dealing with the very best players. let's hope to goodness the board get it right, but I don't see this as the right choice at all.
