ed, do you find it a bit strange that the day after the news papers were saying he was off to united he came out and said (via twitter) "i just want to tell you don't listen to the news papers and the rumours, i will let you know if something happen" well that was one june 7th, it's now june 10th and nasri hasn't been on his twitter since, maybe he is busy negotiating with us or arsenal?

few of the rumours on the rounds lads.......united do have an interest in nasri. arsenal have not been approached but we will up our interest in a.o.c of southampton. this maybe so that if we do decide to go for nasri we will "let arsenal have him".
As for modric......i have heard that a bid is being prepared. 25mill plus carrick. spurs are not interested in a deal including berba.
Finally and probably the most outlandish one iv heard.....10mill plus nani for de rossi .
make of it what you will lads!!!!

As said before. Nasri is a bonus Sanchez was the real target in the listof four. Anyone dissapointed? Quality player at a quality price! 20 ish Mil for a french international with desire to win, what did Carrick cost again? Young will wear the famous 7 with Owen dropping to an infamous 20! Nasri deal not complete but as i said before it was his reps that contacted MUFC so there must be real interest in the Nasri camp.

The video also had alonso, di maria, ramos, casillas.
Now i'm not claiming he's leaving or that i'm in the know but from a marketing sense who is the number one player at Real... Ronaldo surely!
Conspicious by his lack of presence i'd say...

On another note i'd be shocked in Nasri comes to united. Modric is the target and can come down to final day.

Such a shame that Athletico Madrid are being left out and are being paid no money for Aguero.

Abd, I know Real get some good deals on the cheap, but Hernandez for free, wow! They must have some good business men who can convince us to give them Hernandez for free!

As stated earlier from a very good source located in the MUFC marketing department Young will be signing (post holiday), as for Nasri i have it on good authority that he is not playing the wages game with Afc ala rooney but is indeed interested in competing for league titles and European glory. Although this doesnt mean it will be MUFC that sign
Him but his reps made the initial approach. De Gea, Jones and Young were 3/4 targets that Saf wanted to bring in. Nasri is a bonus and a welcome one after sanchez' move to Barca gathers pace who was Saf 4th target. A quiet weekend transfer wise but expect the Nasri saga completed by Weds. 60/40 to come to OT.

Manchester United have officially begun talks with Samir Nasri about a possible move from Arsenal to Old Trafford. Both United and Nasri's representatives met up in Manchester on Thursday, and this latest development will not be good news for Gunner manager Arsene Wenger, who will now have to decide if he should keep the player on his contract based on principle, or sell him to ensure that the London side does not miss out on a valuable transfer fee.

Can we assume that De Gea and Young are 2 of 3 that Sir Alex wanted to bring in? I dont think we can count Jones as 1 of the 3, as I don't think Sir Alex even knew he'd be buying him this summer.

We can now expect a Scholes replacement. Sneijder's ruled himself out. Harry says Modric isn't going - we'll see. And l fully expect Nasri to stay where he is. So I have no idea who it's going to be.

As for out-going players, VDS, Neville, Scholes, Kuszczak are all gone. The wage bill is going to be reduced dramatically this summer. Add the possibilities of:

Berbatov 12m
Brown O'Shea Gibson 12m
Kuszczak 3m
Obertan 2m
Macheda

"Nasri is eager to join Utd. He's fed up with Arsenal's lack of trophies. He will join MUFC in july for a fee of 12-15 million.Wenger is 100 % against this, but fortunately he doesnt call the shots on this one."

Thats what i heard from my source, but i just cant see a player like nasri join MUFC, MUFC have always played with 2 box-to-box midfilders as far as i can remember..we will probably give Anderson a chance next season and pair him with Carrick. Then next season will be the time for Tunniclife, Pogba, Morrison, Cleverly and the others to step up and show their worth in our midfield..

to the chap saying about the strikers, i agree that we won't be signing any more. But just to let you know, berbatov and macheda are likely to leave and king will be going out on loan. Sir alex has said that both welbeck and diouf will be playing at old trafford next season along with hernandez rooney and owen i expect young will keane will be limited to reserve team football for this year only stepping up if theres an injury crisis with maybe a loan next year. Meaning we'll have 5 first team strikers in our squad for next season(although welbeck doesn't count as 1 of the 25 man squad due to his age.)

Come on lads you need to be smarter, United are doubling Young's 40k a week 'current Villa wage', not the 65k Villa were offering him to sign a new deal. Young will be on around 80k a week at United.

Also Jones is done, fee is between £15m-£16.5m, I think the hold-up is the amount of add-on clauses that we want to pay. For example £11m cash + £5m in add-on's, or £13m cash + £3.5m in add-on's. You see what I mean?

United will not pay more than the buyout clause which is apparently £16.5m. I think he will be signed for £15m. A third of which could be add-on clauses.

Ed002 - Am I right in saying neither United, City or Chelsea would bow to Sneijder's wage demands, so he has decided to stay at Inter?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - After a pleasant couple of days in Palm Springs with his wife I suspect the discussion was not about wages but "do we want to live in xxx city" more than anything. I also would not be so sure that he will be staying in Milan and these claims that he loves the place etc. could well simply be political posturing to ensure that he is in a strong position to negotiate a percentage of any deal should Inter decide to sell him. Massive United news.

Manchester United will wait until Monday to announce the DOUBLE signing of Ashley Young and Samir Nasri.

Young has already passed a medical and has agreed terms on a 5 year contract, which by the way is NOT £130k a week but more like £90k a week.

Nasri told Arsenal on Wednesday night he was not going to sign a new deal unless he has assurances that Arsenal were going to invest in top quality players and also keep hold of Cesc Fabegas. Arsenal told him they could not promise that.

It is no understood that Nasri HAS held talks with United officials and he wants to come to Old Trafford. A key figure in the transfer is Uniteds Patrice Evra who has managed to convince Nasri to move to Old Trafford.

He will speak more with United and the two clubs will try to agree a fee for the player. United want to offer £12 million for him as he is in the final year of his contract and they risk losing him for nothing next year, but Arsenal will hold out for £20million, which United have set aside as the maximum for him and will probably end up paying for him.

The deal will be sorted out a soon as possible so Wenger can identify a replacement for Nasri.

This is 100% TRUE and guess what............................United haven't finished there. Speculation over Nani and Berbatov will continue throughout the summer and don't be surprised if either or both leave. United still want Alexis Sanchez from Udinese and will use either player in a deal if they can.

A Premier League agent has revealed through his Twitter account that on the grapevine there is news that the young Frenchman is ready to join the Gunners' bitter rivals.

Agent Peter Morrison has insisted that while he could not categorically confirm that a deal has already been struck, the surprise move of the summer so far is moving forward.

"I'm hearing reports that Samir Nasri's representatives has indeed agreed a deal enabling him to join #mufc, " Morrison revealed via Twitter earlier today.

Dunno how reliable Peter Morrison is but just came across it and thought id share. Also, agreeing a deal with his reps is one thing, agreeing a deal with arsenal is another story.
