I work at OT and the reserve and academy players sit in East Stand Tier 2, speak to Pogba every home game as he is a really nice lad. Ive asked him this question numerous times and he always says when the manager sees fit. Asked him after Arsenal and he said he didnt think this season

Do you mean a league game or any game? Because Pogba barring injury is closer than ever. he will certainly make his debut in the next few months and then it's up to him if he can cement a place.

No offence to Syd or whoever thinks Jones would be a good defensive midfielder, he has stated himself his prefered position is CB. We bought him as a CB and will only be shifted positions across the back 4. He can play midfield but in interviews he has said he wants to be a defender.

What are you saying then? are you trying to say he will reject requests by SAF when asked to play in midfiled? No.....no he wont.

To be fair the twins' preferred position is on the right & left wings. Smalling prefers CB to RB, Evra preferred right-wing to left-back. Cleverley prefers left-wing. Anderson prefers CAM to sitting deeper, Carrick preferred a more advanced role than where he plays, Young prefers to play off the striker rather than left-wing. Jones does prefer CB, but he would be more than happy to play as a DM'r or at right-back, he just wants to play. Jones played over twenty games for Blackburn in central midfield last season. He is more than capable of playing there for us. Jones wouldn't be a CB being played out of position, he is a very good defensive midfielder bud.

I would like jones to play DM but i think fergy will want to give carrick and fletcher some game time.
also fergy doesn't allways like to over play the young ones and if jones plays CB,RB,DM he might never get a break.
Got to say iv'e been really impressed with him could be our best signing since rooney.

I am the original poster btw,
im not saying he's not capable of playing there or that he would refuse to play there.
its just obvious they've bought him for the back line, what with them moving on brown and o'shea and retirement of neville. im not saying he won't be played there at some point but what with fletcher and carrick now fit they're likely to get game time against benfica maybe even chelsea but thats just what i would assume

Cleverly injury not as bad as first feared! Just ligament damage so should hopefully be back in four weeks!

Any news on the likes of:

Gibson,Kuschak,Diouf,Macheda

We're stuck with them for now. Try to move them on in January I suppose.

I have a feeling that one of them might be of some use before then though, maybe in the coca-cola cup.

Why would we sell macheda hes a very good player will do for back up he cant be allowed to leave permanently he probs will leave on loan soon this month or so
