Theres not much to say that hasnt been said already. Of course Fletcher's health is the priority and we all wish him well but from a footballing point of view it will make January a very interesting month. Will SAF bring someone in? or as Cleverley and Anderson come back combined with a lack of CL football will the manager put increasing faith in the usual suspects from the youth/reserve team? By usual suspects I mean Pogba and Morrison....not Gibson, for the love of god.

As soon as i saw that Fletcher is taking a break, it instantly made me think maybe we'll see more of pogba and morrison? i would love to see how they react to the opportunity of playing a PL game. Here's to hoping.

fletcher is out for an extended period...i really think we need to sign a midfielder in jan...lassana diarra can be a good buy if we can get him... {Ed002's Note - Lassano Diarra is playing fairly regular at Real Madrid but still may be moving in January or the summer. Anzhi have made a very significant offer but I understand Roma are very interested in the player and the player is open to a move to Rome. And he comes with a great deal of baggage.}

I always hear of this 'baggage' he brings and i'm guessing it's not just a massive suitcase full of clothes, why is this always said about him? Has he just got attitude problems or what?

I've heard he cant play CL games cos he's not allowed on planes, due to always exceeding the 20kg limit!

Real have been open to offers for Diarra for a while, since Mourinho falling out with khedira though he has had more playing time so he may not want to move now.

Its always difficult to buy players in jan so i said diarra can be a good option especially if we get him on a loan

More paper talk of Benfica duo Nicolas Gaitan and Javi Garcia being watched by United scouts and Ferguson 'demanding to be kept informed of developments'...I presume if he did he probably politely asked.
Any truth in any of this stuff Ed or just usual tabloid fodder? {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Barcelona are both interested in the winger but PSG may be the first to put an offer on the table. Asking price is an issue. As for Garcia I don't know anything at the moment that would be useful to say.}

Need Gaitan more I think. He played in midfield for Boca Juniors before move to Benfica but I dont think Jorge Jesus likes the way he plays ie sits deep normally but then sporadically likes to advance (and score)..hence he has deployed him on the left wing

What went wrong with Afellay? i thought he looked great at PSV Eindhoven but he just doesn't seem like the same player since he moved to Barcelona
