Hey eds/all,
Is it true that united have made a move for strootman and might bid for caulker?please say united aren't going to sell nick Powell?would be an extremely bad move.thanks guys

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Liverpool took a look at Kevin Strootman before he left PSV. I understand that there is much speculation but as of this time there has been no bid made. Unless his injury clears up to where he can at least pass a medical even if he cannot prove his return to form would be high risk for the buying club unless the transfer was caveated and he perhaps stayed in Italy until next year.

I know nothing of interest in Caulker. A loan for Powell would not be out of the question.}

There was something in the papers about Leicester wanting Powell on loan. Be good for him to get some Prem experience, IMO.

Just noticed that Jeremy Menez has not signed a new contract at PSG. His current one ends soon. Do any of the eds know about any interest in him? He's a decent winger, especially on a free transfer

{Ed002's Note - Inter showed some interest in Menez over last summer but were put off by an injury. He has said that he would like a return to Monaco but they are not showing any interest. There has been serious interest from elsewhere including Fiorentina, Bayer Leverkusen, Galatasaray, Juventus and Milan. There were discussions over a new contract but PSG are happy to let him move on.}
