Rumours that Clyne from palace has agreed to sign for united in the summer!

Can anyone back this up? I was thinking he may join us because isn't his contract up? Free agent.. If so then i'm all for it because he's younger that the twins and has a better stature. Other than Rafael we don't have anyone who plays RB as their best position! SAF likes to buy young British talent after all.

Thought Clyne could only sign for a club abroad and not sign pre contract club in England....Ed's can you confirm this?

The poster didn't say he'd signed, just that he'd agreed to sign in the summer though.

Clyne would be a very good signing! Young and English has alot of talent and would give Rafael something to fight for when it comes to the RB spot! {Ed001's Note - can play left back too.}

So SAF supposidly went to watch Debuchy the other night, then rumours that weve agreed to sign clyne in the summer...either debuchy didnt impress or SAF was really there to watch hazard! - harry did mention strong interest from united in him!

Think Clyne's more realistic! Being younger, british and cheaper.. Think he looks a real prospect.. To be the captain of Crystal Palace at that age stands for something!

I said months ago that United should be in for him, he looks a class prospect and let's face it as far as positions that need filling urgently RB is first, midfield second, then striker to replace Berbatov when he leaves in the summer.

just heard from my uncle in spain that the talk in spain is if ronaldo fails to impress on wednesday against barcalona he will be allowed to leave in the summer, man utd would only need to return the 80 million any other team atleast 90 million for him

Guys if you were Saf who would you buy and sell in the summer.I would love to buy hazard,martinez and maybe a striker and would sell park,berbetov and anderson.

Loic remy had a quote pulled from the internet last week saying he its going to be playing for spurs next season and is looking forward to linking up with eden hazard! his agent has confirmed this I believe!

I would add evra to your list of departures, hes been very poor this season.

As a very bare minimum we need a lb and a cm.my choices would be:

ideally we would also bring in a cf and a lm.my choices would be llorente and munian/hazard.unfortunately i can t see either of these happening on top of a world class cm and lb.if we did we would be competing for the champions league as soon as next year. {Ed004's Note - I agree we would need two more signings on top of those two players. That team would be awesome. I would go for Hazard and Benzema though as well as Martinez and Izaguirre. But I am too optimistic.}

Makes me laugh people saying replace Evra with Izaguirre. People genuinely mustnt have watched Izaguirre too much cos he isn't fit to lace our captains boots. Evra does need competition but not by Izaguirre, not good enough and this is from an avid Man Utd and Celtic fan

I feel that team would hold their own against any team. Everyone in Midfield and beyond could interchange their positions, exchanging passes fluently. The back line would be solid, with two full backs that give their all every game. Two centre halves who have more than proven their worth this season. I have left Vidic out purely because we don't know how he will return from injury.

Meanwhile, I would offload, Park, Giggs (retirement), Evra, Anderson, (I like him but his injuries are just too much), Scholes (retirement), Berbatov and Owen, along with the youth whom are un-needed.

Following this, I would move, Petrucci, Will Keane, Brady, Tunnicliffe, Tyler Blackett, and Macheda (Last chance) into squad roles. Maybe send Will Keane and Tunnicliffe out on loan.

Percy {Ed004's Note - You are more optimistic than me. That team would not be able to hold their own against every team. The majority of teams in the Pl alone would dominate against it. You are selling the starting left back and replacing him with someone who is not fit for more than 5 games in a row and having a reserve player as cover. Your putting too much pressure on the two midfielders. You seriously expect us to compete Barcelona's with two youths who are far from reaching their potentials. Atleast one midfielder should be signed. I rate both pogba and cleverley highly but they should have to earn their spots not be given them because they have shown potential}

Players with the right attitude thrive under responsibility, if Cleverley and Pogba have one thing, it's the right attitude. Fabio has been fit for a few months now. We will never be able to compete against Barcelona if we don't do it this way, Real under Jose Mourinho and City haven't. I would also make Rooney captain and maybe buy Baines but that's it. Obviously Carrick would still be pushing for a role in midfield.

Saf to switch to a high tempo game next season as the tactics this season have been dreadful. There should be no excuses this summer as their is plenty of top players who will be available at the right price. Just hoping saf does his dealings early before the euro championships. A potential team of the above players and our very own youth players is breathtaking. Bring title no 20 home. Up the reds!

I would bring in Kyle Walker and leighton Baines as I feel Rafael and Fabio have more heart than luck with with injuries who would remain as cover with Evans and 'Mr.Utility' Jones

In midfield I have brought in Martinez who is a must and Hazard who seems possibly likely to come in. I would keep Scholes and Giggs for another year as I think they are vital fort his transition to be successful and keep Park until he retires and offer a scouting role. Would rottate the likes of Pogba, Cleverly and Young.

Higuain would be the forward but Llorente and Cavani would be just as effective with Hernandez and Welbeck in rotation.

I agree with one of the above posters.. Anderson on his day is AMAZING, aspecially when he has some 1 like Scholes or Cleverly to play with.

If he loses a bit of weight and gains a bit more speed and his fitness back, i don't see why he couldn't be the player we all know he can be and the player he was suppose to be.

BTW Hazard ideal signing and the Q about Martinez to join would be if he was happy to play for less Money at United or go to City, sit on the bench and get stupid money!

When he is fit (he's never fit)
When he's on his game (he's never on his game)
When he looses weight (he's had four years to loose weight)

I too am running out of patience with anderson but cleverly is a special talent just wait and see!

Personally i think martinez and baines are must buys! i think they would add a nice balance to our team.

a creative midfielder and/or a striker would be a nice bonus but i cant see fergie intergrating so many new faces into the team the space of 18 months, although hazard does look promising!
