SAF confirmed it earlier on. Another month out. Absolutely gutted. Ws looking 4ward to seeing him bk in the first team. Let's hope he comes bk sooner rather than later. We're gonna need him especially with the busy Christmas period. T45

We definately have the worst medical team in the history of football. Even players that have never been injured before starts getting injured all the time when they come to United. Jones, Kagawa, Young, Smalling, Lindegaard, Anderson. Expect the news about Van Persies season ending injury to come soon.

Moen#7,
I cannot believe that, with all the money we spend on our medical staff and facilities, we have anything significantly different to other leading EPL clubs. However, our training methods may not suit th players who are frequently injured. We know that Rio gets particular training including back exercises, Giggs gets yoga treatment to retain his athleticism (remember all his hamstring problems in his early years) etc etc. I think a greater range of individually tailored training is required to reduce injuries. We were top of the injury league last year and City were bottom. If we had had fewer injuries last year we would probably have won the league at a canter.

i suspect kagawa will be back for 9th december so we can slap the bitters

May also have something to do with city picking big players with a physical presence, whereas, all ours seem to be small, either in height or frame

Yes, I thought they were rubbish

I thought adnan was really good!

Mike b,

They were young lads playing against older lads from the villa reserves. Our reserve team has gone to turkey. From what I saw they put up a good fight and januzaj looked decent. Still a long way to go before he plays anywhere near the top level though, people saying take him to turkey don't know what they are talking about!

GDS,
I did not see any player that I thought would be capable o breaking into the first team squad in the next couple of years - enough said.

Januzaj will be a star. I think we will see bits of him in the first team some time next season. Galatasaray game was waaaayyyy too soon. When Januzaj returns to full fitness from his injury and gets a run of games people will see a real gem.

Thought Bebe oozed class, ball was stuck to his boot, he was at the centre of everything and was worth every penny of the millions we have spent out on him............then again I could have dreamt all that!

I do not exaggerate when I say that I am better than Bebe....... and I haven't played in 11 years.....

i think we have the players in the squad to win the league and its not as bad as some are saying but i do agree there are some issues at the moment and SAF needs to be questioned.

defensively we have vidic, jones and evans to come back and smalling will be class again when hes played more games, him and vidic at the back will hopefully mean no more rio whos blatently not good enough anymore. Evra is the week link and needs replacing asap.

we have the midfielders in the squad, SAF could get away with playing carrick or scholes if he plays them with some legs ie cleverly(my 1st choice) fletcher or andersson. If he plays carrick with scholes or giggs we are awful everytime and i hope the norwich game has confirmed that to SAF but sadly i dont think it has.Giggs shouldnt start another game just give him the odd sub appearance because he still has the vision to create chances. Valencia not on form but he will get there and many are forgetting how good he has been last couple of years. Young will improve with games but we need more from Nani or another winger in Jan.
Up front we are better than anyone.
Hope he stops leaving de geay out and gives him the run of games he needs.
SAF will come good as he nearly always does and i believe we will win the league this year. Then next summer with a new left back winger and cm we wont be far off in europe either.

Apparently ddg was left out at the weekend because he was complaining of toothache

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all about team selection with us and the manager is constantly getting it wrong. I agree that we have the players to be competing for the title but we cannot be starting games with giggs and scholes any more, they should be used as subs when we need there experiance to see games out or kill teams off that is it. Anderson and cleverley at the start of last season were awsome at times together but we were leaking goals, a obvious solution would be to play carrick in the midle with them and sut infront of our back 4 allowing clev and ando to attack and get hold of the ball. Add rooney rvp and hernandez up top and i believe we would not only win games but dominate posession and concede less chances.

Agree2 Disagree0

You are right. The squad is good. But we need to get the tactics right and we'll be OK.

No way we can win europe or even compete with anderson/ fletcher/cleverly as out midfield core. Watch city against real and that will give you a good rehearsal of what you need in the centre of the park to be genuine european threat.

LB,2cm, CB and all top quality is what we need to realistically compete in Europe. We will get shipped out in the round of 16 or quarters this year depending on the draw.

Shahram

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't win the league, Fergie constantly picks the wrong midfield and we lose each time but it's not so much that but City have been sh1te but are top of the league so I can not see past them winning it this year.

We didn't have the funds to fully transform the squad all at once so I think we will see that completed next Summer and we will be a true force once again

Agree0 Disagree0

The squad looks fantasic if we have no major injurys but we do, if vidic and kagawa are back for the next stages i dont see why people would think otherwise we have yet to see the best of this team cause we have had way to many first team players out nobady can compete at full throttle with so many out injured we do have smalling back and he looks like he is back to fitness and form and jones is coming back but when we get vidic and shinji back it will be a squad capable of challenging for the all competions FACT

Agree0 Disagree1

The midfield needs a sort out. Every player is quality but they are all either too old or playing out of position. Carrick is not solid enough to be the holding player though could be part of the 2 in a 4-2-3-1. Scholes just doesn't have the legs, Ando is played to deep and Cleverley is a number 10 and doesn't have the vision to play deeper in midfield. Rooney and Cleverley are too similar apart from Rooney is 10 times more talented. Kagawa needs to come back he is exactly what we were missing against Norwich, movement off the ball!

eds do see united buying both isco and rodriguez next summer.I think offloading inconsistent nani and young and buying isco and rodriguez would be really good buys. {Ed002's Note - No.}

Will Hughes, Liam Moore, Thomas Ince & Wilfred Zaha have all been linked with moves to Man united. All young English talent I think.

I don't know prices & I don't really know a lot about them.

I'm just thinking are they better than what we have?

Hughes 17 (I think) is he any better than Januzaj or Dælhi?
Moore was a sub and M.Keane was ahead of him at Leicester until Keane got a strain on his debut.
Ince 20/21 against Robbie Brady's stats this 2nd part of the season will be interesting. Goals, assists ect.
Zaha pacy winger/striker I'd compare him to King. Zaha has more skill but King easily beats opponents with his electric pace.

So who is better in you opinion & is it worth splashing 5m to 12m on a young English player when we may already have the answer.

TJ

Believable13 Unbelievable3

The only player that I have seen enough is Zaha, the fact that when he played us last season as well there wasn't a single player in our team that knew how to deal with him. So I think he'd be a decent buy depending on the price. I think he'd definitely contribute to the team a lot more than Nani is at the moment with half the wages and probably a higher work rate.

However that aside, i'd still prefer us to go get Victor Wanyama as I think he would play great alongside Cleverley and Rooney in midfield.

Ozwald

Agree1 Disagree0

Nani out and Zaha and Ince in? The tranfer would be approx net zero and wages would leave some for other positions. It would give us a left footed winger.

With regards to the youth, I do wonder if Fergie is leaving bringing them in for the next manager so the team is 'His'.

Rewz

Agree0 Disagree0

Hughes isnt any better than daehli and januzaj, but he is still a great talent and it would be great to get him. I'd rather have fischer tbh.

Ince is atm better than Brady but he has more experience. I think Brady will be just as good.

Zaha is twice the player joshua king is. At a younger age King has been dubbed as the new Ronaldo, his style was very similar to the brasilian legend and it was expected that king will become a very good player. He hasnt develloped like he should have.
