A think Morrison leaving was a clear showing to the youth who s boss and to be honest am glad to be honest. In fergie we trust, no having any 18 yer old want to be gangster take the piss out united and fergie

Believable32 Unbelievable7

Seeming he was 1 of only 2 talented players coming through it was dumb, Fergie should of man managed him better.

One minute he's the next best thing then the minute he leaves, he wasn't good enough.

Tom.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think we only have 2 talented players coming through then you dont watch them at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but if he wouldn't toe the line he had to go he is a dinlo

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

2 talented players? that's laughable.

Anon

Agree0 Disagree0

2 things.

he needed to get out of Manchester.

And no matter how much talent someone has if they don't have the right work ethic, then they aren't going to make it at a club like Man United

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha, should have man managed him better!? You must be one of these people that questions every decision Fergie makes thinking you can do better.

No one has said he wasn't good enough for starters!

If someones head isn't in the right place there is nothing you can do. united have been patient and mroe than willing to give him a chance and everytime it gets thrown back in their face.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom.

Perhaps you should watch the United reserves play, only then you would know that we have some top quality youth. Lets not forget it is harder to make the grade at a club like United than it is at a club like Liverpool.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Use your heads lads.

What do you think Morrison's gonna do in London? Join a chess club? Learn crochet for his quiet nights in during the week?

No. He gravitates towards trouble and London is over-flowing with trouble and trouble-makers. I give him a couple of months tops, before he's back in the faeces.

This whole 'the lad needs to get away from Manchester' train of thought is cool, but anyone who thinks he's going to turn into an angel just because he's not living in Manc anymore is fooling themselves.

Me and my mates all left South Wales to go to different Unis, but that didn't stop us travelling to each other on weekends. Ravel's mates will be 'larging it' in London most weekends, I'd imagine.

RED_SKY

Agree0 Disagree0

Once he starts playing, I'd imagine he'll start to work harder. I fully believe that him being away from his friends will help him massively.

Percy

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to west ham they have a great record of bringing through youth - probably the best academmy in England. They don't however have a great record of helping those youngsters fully develop into world class players. The best comparrison i can think of is Joe Cole, absolutely brilliant player who had the world at his feet then peaked to early, didn't see the need to progress and eventually stagnated. I believe morrison will do the same, if he goes to training. As for those who think Big Sam will get the best out of him, they are wrong. He may be a good disciplinarian but he is a terrible tactician and his teams are never fun to watch - Morrison will be made to play into the whole boot it up the park technique Big Sam has always employed and this will stifle his development. In the next few years we will see Ravel on the front pages for all the wrong reasons because he will again think he is bigger than his club and not give a s**te and fall back into his 'gangsta' ways.

He will always regret that he was a douche and left Utd.

It was definitely the RIGHT decision to bring Scholes back. He has been outstanding in the matches he has played. It would be nice to see him play with Pogba more too.

Believable34 Unbelievable3

Ermmm.... played ok against stoke at home, poor in other starts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really!? Do you actually watch the games. He bossed the midfield against Liverpool. Only his 2nd game after being out for months.

Just seen this.

"Pogba did very well. He’s got great talent and has a tremendous physique for a young boy. You can’t believe he’s 18. I was very pleased [with his performance]. It was a good time to bring him on as we were in control of the game and it gave him a chance to be confident with the ball," the 70-year-old told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"We are negotiating his contract at the moment. It’s a bit complicated as he’s changed his agent a couple of times. The boy wants to stay, I think that’s obvious."

Sorry for copy and paste, but its good to hear some good news what with the lack of spending this January.

You could tell when Pogba smiled he knows he wants to be here.

Btw, will Malouda bad tackle be getting looked at?

Believable2 Unbelievable8

No as the referee booked him, it can only be looked at if the referee missed it, or admits he missed it. As he has issued a yellow card this cannot happen

Going to sound like a bit of a rant but hey ho.

United are not going to be bidding £50 million for Modric or anyone else for that matter, mark my word's. Also people who continuously go on about Sneijder please STOP it will not happen United no longer interested. If we make a Marquee signing in the summer the player will not be more than £30 million at the very most. United don't have £50 million to spend on one player (except ofcourse the return of one C. Ronaldo which I doubt will ever happen)

United Till I Die 1987

Believable21 Unbelievable5

Please STOP making stupid statements when in actual fact you don't have a CLUE what's going to happen in the summer.

rpc

Agree0 Disagree0

UTID

Totally agree mate. The days of United signing marquee players are LONG gone.

£15-20million is our new price range, but I for one don't think this is that big of a deal. I have no problem with us not spending huge sums, I just want us to spend SOMETHING to improve a waning squad with weaknesses.

RED_SKY

Agree0 Disagree0

I would hope we didn't bid 50 mil for Modric
Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't agree with you more 'UTID 1987' we will not spend 50 million on one man. I think at best we will have about 50 million to spend in the summer. I think the biggest name that we could see coming in could be Christian Eriksen, i think he would be a realistic target. I think the size of our budget is testiment to the players we have been linked with that seem realistic - Clyne, Vadillo, Eriksen, van Wolfswinkel, Alba, Cissokho. They are all good players and are definatly in our price range.

RedDevil19

Agree0 Disagree0

I would suggest that goes without saying. Even if we were owned by a Qatari billionaire, I cannot see SAF spending that kind of money on 1 player. I dont think anyone believed we would bid £50million for Modric or anyone else.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Rpc lol fair do's. I did say De Gea was coming and Sneijder (which very nearly happened) Ravel to West Ham and the new lad Veseli from City to us. I'm not trying to prove myself to people I just want to share thing's I hear with other United fan's (no I don't hear them in my head lol) that's what this site is all about after all.

RED_SKY and RedDevil19 I'm glad to see there is still people with sense out there. and RED_SKY your dead right 15-20 million is our price range now unless the right player is available problem is player's that were worth 20-30 million two/three years ago are now 40-50 million. Price's will come down soon as everyone has to tighten their belts not just in football but every business.

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, but lets be fair throwing money around does not always guarantee sucess. i would much rather see a player come through the ranks than pay 50million for someone
jenny

Agree0 Disagree0

UTID

Definitely, it'll sort itself out in the end but for now we've got to be shrewd and that's no biggy - there are great prospects out there we can afford, and without a hulk of a pricetag, less pressure on both the player and the club for the transfer to be an instant success.

RED_SKY

Agree0 Disagree0

UTID - I think for a very special player we would stretch to £25 million. But beneath £20 million is our price range - and also with the FFP ruling clubs cannot demand such extortionate fee's. Fee's can't keep on rising, i think they have more or less platued and will now drop gradually.

Santos president has said that Ganso is available for transfer
jred

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Quality player, would take a year to adjust to the Premier League but would definately be worth the money at £15-20 million problem is Santos would want £30 million plus for him. Not worth it in my opinion

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a talented player, but not too mobile, and I'm not sure he'd be cut out for the EPL. And I agree, Santos would probably ask for too much anyway.

Ian ridley on talksh1tt says we have some sort of buy back clause for ravel in his contract.
Ste73

Believable4 Unbelievable16

I personally think it would be very surprising if there wasn't one!

The fact that he'd been linked to Newcastle and Roma plus others then he ends up at West Ham with Big Sam who is a very close friend of SAF suggests that there has been some sort of deal struck surely?!

Ports

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest, I'd be surprised if we didn't. I think we know well the talent he has, and SAF will be ready to take him back provided his attitude changes at West Ham.

Percy

Agree0 Disagree0

Considering the talent he is, i would really hope there is one. I personally think this will be a good move as it will open his eyes and show him how lucky he is/was at United and he lives up to his potential he will get a 2nd chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't have a buy back clause in his contract.

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

I imagine we would have a first refusal or we would get a percentage of his future sell on fee.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive tweeted ridley and he replied we have a first refusal in his contract, united till i die i think i will believe the highly respected journo fella !

Agree0 Disagree0

UTID 1987 - wish you would stop posting statements on this site which you claim are fact when in truth you know nothing more that what you read in the papers.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Evening Standard (very close to Allardice, he does a weekly column) said there was no buy back clause.

man utd suppost to have had two players in according to sly spurts after 11 oclock last night one is vesseli who is the other (any thoughts ED :) {Ed007's Note - News to me, sorry.}

Believable2 Unbelievable8

Paul Scholes possibly

I think they counted Scholes as a new signing.

Scholes.

Matthew...

Scholes - #22 squad number

Agree0 Disagree0

Call yourself a true red... just kidding..

Agree0 Disagree0

Did we not sign that 17 year old parreira, what ever his name is ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not true, the only one to come was Freddy Veseli.

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

Adreas pereira (spelling) was confirmed on his twitter a few days ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

When they were doing the transfer window stuff on sky sports last night, it did say United had made 2 January signings. These are Frederic Veseli and Paul Scholes. Although they have added Andreas Pereira to their academy from PSV.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was Paul Scholes fact...

Best value signing of anyone in this window...

saw on a transfer website that morrison went to west ham, does anyone know if it was a loan or a transfer, and if so how much?

Believable0 Unbelievable7

Permanent transfer. £650k potentially rising up to £2m.

rpc

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky Sports quoted that it was a permanent transfer for around £700k with add on's that could take the deal to £2m in the future. If West Ham gain promotion to the Premiership, Morrison will be on a whopping £65k a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Transfer, £1m

Agree0 Disagree0

Transfer. 3-and-a-half year deal, United could eventually get £3 million if he makes X amount of appearances and West Ham get promoted this season or next.

I do not think for one second that Sir Alex would have played Pogba tonight without the knowledge the kid will sign. Especially after showing Ravel Morrison that unproven primadonnas wont hold Manchester United to ransom.

I fully expect him to sign myself. I'll take the flack if he doesn't.

I'll be completely surprised if Pogba doesn't feature in the Europa league. I can't see us fielding a full first team in the Europa league, its just not gonna help us in the title race which should have our complete focus now. I think we'll field as little starting XI players as possible, but have the game changers on the bench incase we do go down and could snatch a draw/win.

Hopefully a premier league start is on the horizon for the lad!

I think Amos had a good game tonight to say he isn't that experienced. Stoke are a hard team to play as a GK but to be completely fair Stoke had a bad game.

Heard a lot of good things about Veseli from a Swiss friend of mine. Wouldn't be surprised to see him play in the Europa either.

What is Veseli's kit number btw? Or has he not been assigned one yet?

MUFC_Devil

Believable9 Unbelievable2

SAF wont let Pogba go now. Amos did look good, as mentioned with Stokes corner throws and pumping high balls in the box shows how SAF has lost faith in De Gea with high balls

Agree0 Disagree0

The one save Amos had to make he nearly threw in his own net!

Agree0 Disagree0

Pogba will eventually sign a new deal, a few more little cameo's like last night maybe even a goal and he'll sign on the dotted line, the lad just wants to play.

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoever said SAF has lost his faith in De Gea,he was injured last night along with Lindgaard.

Who do you boys reckon Everton have shifted behind closed doors? Seem to have been shifting some weight round in the transfer market, wondered if anyone knows anything? The Rodwell/Barkley rumours probably have more foundation to them, doesn't mean they'll happen though...

Just to cheers everyone up...
Saha was described as clinical by a spurs fan on slysports...

Jack

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Clinical because he's always in hospital?.

To be fair, when he's fit he's good, but my god, now spurs have him it's like another Darren Anderton.
