MANCHESTER UNITED hope to announce the signing of in-demand Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha in the next 48 hours.
The England winger (left) could even be at United's Carrington training HQ today to discuss terms and possibly complete a medical.
Talks have continued between the clubs in the last few days after the Daily Star Sunday revealed last week that United
were anxious to clinch the signing and fight off interest from Arsenal.
Sir Alex Ferguson hopes to agree an initial fee of £7million deal - with the move eventually being worth between £10m and £12m to Palace with add-ons. There is also the possibility of Zaha, 20, being loaned back to the Selhurst Park club for the rest of this season.
Eagles boss Ian Holloway is not keen to lose his star man at this stage of his side's bid for promotion.
Meanwhile, injury-ravaged Phil Jones hasgiven United a boost by finally declaring:I'm fit and raring to go. The young ace, 20, has endured a torrid season just when he hoped to cement a starting slotwith the Red Devils.
He said: "It has been so frustrating to be out injured. I feel fit and strong and hope I can get a good run in the side now.
"It's great to come back into a team that's playing so well. It's a nice feeling to be top of the league."

ED considering how Arsenal are performing it wouldn't be too much to assume Wilshere would want to leave next season.
How much do you think he'll cost ?
MUMBAI_BOY {Ed002's Note - I really have no interest in discussing money MB but you are right that he might be part of a number of changes that could soon happen at Arsenal.}

No, he won't leave, top English players rarely leave a club, specially for a rival. ........he says his home in there, and I assume he will end his career at arsenal itself

I believe he will leave and utd would be his first choice not coz i'm a utd fan but because it makes sense
but we will be outbid by city or chelsea

Wilshere will leave Arsenal in the next few years. Arsenal will enjoy cashing in on him too. Because he has an English premium he would cost upwards of £30m. United and City would be favourites from England. He wouldn't join Chelsea or Spurs. I also do not class Arsenal as a rival anymore. United is a step above Arsenal and City will always have the cash to buy him.

He's got 5 1/2 years left on his contract, thinks its daft event thinking about him leaving

I see him replacing Barry at City in a couple of years.

A contract extension just means a bigger salary. He is hardly going to say no to an extra £20k a week now is he?
I think he will give Arsenal 3.5 more years and then he will be off.

Didn't he say that he doesn't have an agent because he will never leave the arse?

Ed,
U probably can't be bothered with all this but where do you believe Sneijder will end up? I don't believe united will be interested one bit to be honest but for some reason my gut feeling is telling me he will sign for Liverpool
Big Mac {Ed002's Note - Galatasaray or Inter Milan.}

Then your gut needs medical attention Mac ;)
If for some miracle he drops his demands, more attractive clubs than Liverpool will be interested in him.
