People saying Utd bid 15m for Cabbaye christ I hope not

Believable17 Unbelievable47

I really like Cabaye and anything less than £15m is great. He is a very good all around centre mid with great free kicks. He can defend and attack and always seems to put in 110%.

Agree0 Disagree2

Yes but he isn't even close to world class in fact he's no better than Ando on a good day

Agree2 Disagree0

Cabaye us a better option than all bar Carrick in central midfield surely. I'm counting Kagawa as more attack-minded option but surely Cabaye would give us a more box to box type player who had a bit of silk as well?

Agree0 Disagree1

I think you are underrating Cabaye quite a bit. But everyone to their own.

Agree3 Disagree1

Cabaye is not going to be bought for less then 20 -25million and is worth it. To compare him to Anderson is plain silly. He is regularly in the French squad and more often then not plays. Anderson will be left out side OT with yesterdays milk bottle, and cat litter as soon as a team comes up with a 5m+ bid
Mik

Agree2 Disagree0

No better than anderson? Comedy at its finest

Agree1 Disagree1

Why people hating. Cabaye is very good and could do a job for our midfield. Better then giggs, cleverly and ando in our midfield.

Agree1 Disagree3

Would much rather have any 2 midfielders from fabregas, marchisio or modric, also garay seems like a done deal

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Newcastle fan, so may be biased but in the same league as Anderson?! You talking about that fat lad know never plays because he is so bad?

Agree3 Disagree1

Mate Anderson can be brilliant on his day its just not regular enough where cabaye is a fantastic all round midfielder as someone said he also scores free kicks defends attacks creates chances! i'd love him in united midfield!

Agree1 Disagree0

It is not possible to underestimate Cabaye, he is not worthy of a place at this club. Good player yes, ie Europa League standard. Champions League not in a million years.

Agree1 Disagree0

Newcastle fan your wrong Anderson does play but only for a short time as he tires after 20 minutes

Cabaye is a very good player who will improve our squad and first team. I think a lot of people are bashing him as he isn't as big a name as the likes of Thiago, Fabregas or Modric. But that doesn't mean he isn't a top player. He manages over 3 interceptions and over 2 tackles a match, while also having 2 shots and almost 2 key passes on average. I know stats don't show the whole pitch but this does show that he is very active both defensively and attacking wise for his team. Plus he has managed that in a team the was struggling last season and has proven himself in the Premier league.

Sure Gundogan, Fabregas and Modric would be higher on our wanted list, but it will be very hard/almost impossible to sign these players. So who would you turn to next?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing wrong with cabaye and he probably would improve us, but there are many better mid fielders we could buy

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye would be a much better option than Fellaini.
All the best for Tito in his fight with cancer.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is useless. Even the brand is better.

I have to agree with the others. Decent prem standard player but would he really push up another level. I think we would be better off sticking with Cleverley in all honesty who could become a similar player. Especially for money involved. For 20-25 million we could do better. Nothing to do with how big his name is Shappy, solid player but there are better options. MrE

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a good player, maybe would become even better in a good team! I'd much prefer Cabaye to Fellaini that's for sure. Fabregas, Carrick and Cabaye would be a good midfield trio.

Ozwald

Agree1 Disagree0

Lets be fair though it's not hard to stand out in an average Newcastle team. not at Manchester united standard and think better players we can go for ala fabregas or gundogan.

C19LAV

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye being compared to Anderson was a joke, being compared to Cleverley is ridiculous. Cleverly will never be anywhere near as good as Cabaye. Remember he's going to be 24 this year, so he's no kid. He is a tryer, but is without good touch, is an average passer of the ball, rarely troubles the opposing goalie, is not strong in the tackle, in fact he isn't United class, more like Stoke or West Ham where no great skill is required. United couldn't reaiize as much in transfer fees for Anderson and Cleverly together as Newcastle could on Cabaye. I for one would be happy to see him at OT for 20 millionish
Mik

Agree0 Disagree1

Cabaye is a 7/10 player, we complain about lack of mobility and Cabaye is one of the slowest players in the league. Great on the ball, but squad player.

Sween

Agree0 Disagree0

Its batter to use cabaye than the BRAND anytime so its 8mprovement indirectly

Guys, I believe Fabregas deal is almost done. Logically why would we put in 3 bids for a player if the player wasn't interested. My understanding having spoken to a certain someone in the legal field like myself who deals with the clubs legal mattrs is that, the player has agreed to join and the fee is agreed, just a few add on's to negotiate such as Barcelona want a percentage of the players image rights profits, just a percentage game.

Watch this space.

P. s I come across this site by chance, seen all your assumptions so thought if set the records straight.

P. Maginty

Believable23 Unbelievable65

Welcome to the site and let's hope you are correct

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone could of wrote this crap! I wish to be true as much as the next. But you know as much as me! This whole deal will go completely under the radar. Just like the Rooney deal or no deal. All talk, united always keep things closed.

Agree2 Disagree0

How on earth did you get a job in the legal field with that sort of grammar?
I am not trying to be offensive I am merely pointing out a flaw in your rumour. All the lawyers, clerks and even receptionists working at law firms I know have impeccable English.

Snakey

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope you're position does not involve writing legal documents or client correspondence! Another unbeliveable fantasist dressing up like a lamb.

Jiameuk

Agree0 Disagree0

^ yes, almost anyone could have written that. But its a rumours and speculation site, so go easy. Its an opinion I enjoyed reading it.

I also agree 100% with your final sentence.

mikee

Agree0 Disagree0

In the legal field? Not with your grammar you're not! Just guessing like everyone else!

Agree0 Disagree0

Right let's set the record straight! We WILL NOT sign Fabregas end of story! I have no insider info or sources. I do not know Cesc or his best friends aunties babysitter.
What I do have is a wealth of experience over the years as an interested spectator in the transfer market and in particular United's dealings and it is this knowledge that tells me that this story will drag out all summer with no positive conclusion and we will start next season with the same sub-standard midfield and a shed load of excuses (no value, worked really hard etc). We seem incapable of getting anything done quickly and as soon as any other tram gets involved with one of our 'targets'

Agree0 Disagree0

P. MGinty welcome to the site and please ignore all those that read your post and decide to jump on your back and batter you with insults.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone does no this is the rumours page yeh? They way people get shot down is crazy.

Why would you want to read pure fantasy? I'm all for rumours and opinion but can't be doing with persons fabricating dross, at the very least make it plausible / believable! There should be another section on this site for dreamers where we can rate their imagination or lack of.

Jiameuk

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not because cesc has said he wants to come to old Trafford it's more to do with Barcelona actually egging utd on to bid more that he would consider a move. I hope he does come but i'm not holding my breath.

C19LAV

Agree0 Disagree0

While I have no legal knowledge it does appear logical to me that this deal will go ahead. it would seem to me after a little haggling barca will let cesc go
hopefully it does as I have begrudgingly admired the player since he was 17

Transfer Merrygo round!
I have it on good authority that the reason Arsenal have decided against taking up the First option clause in CF's contract is because they have been told that he would be more intersted in a move to Manchester Utd to team up with RVP again, and if they allow this move to go ahead smoothly then we will open talks in a deal to move Rooney to the emirates. This is a gentlemens agreement between Utd and Arsenal. Not only that, the fun continues with the fact that we are making a public intrest in Bale in order to force Madrids hand into bidding for the player and having to fund this with the sale of Ronaldo to Utd, which the player also has told close friends, he wants to happen. Nani will be given a new conract after moyes believes the boy still has potential and I also believe Baines may come in aswell. So if my sources are correct then Baines, Fab and Ronny in and Rooney out would make me a very happy man.

Believable25 Unbelievable54

This would be great but just can't see it happening. Bale instead of Ronaldo also wouldn't be too bad!

Agree1 Disagree0

That doesn't make sense- if CF was interested in a move to utd, it doesn't matter what clause or what arsenal bid-

if he doesn't want to go to arsenal, then utd don't need any gentlemen's agreement with arsenal do they?

Only possibility I suppose what be if they are worried that wenger could persuade CF to join arsenal (with their relationship I wouldn't rule that out).

doesn't quite ring true though.

Agree2 Disagree0

So your good authoritarian friend, believes the only good things to happen in England this year will be to do with Utd? Why would Fabregas favour a return to England with Utd instead of Arsenal?

Yes he might have been friends with RVP at Arsenal, but that's where that friendship ended. This might come as a shock, but I have it on good authority that RVP is seething that Fergie made a play for him last season, yet left his managerial position this season.

If the whole debacle with RVP had have been happening now, there is absolutely no way in hell would he have signed for Moyes.

Boozy82

Agree0 Disagree1

Has someone really just asked why someone would favour a move to Utd over Arsenal?! Lol 'Helllllooooo McFlyyyy?!'

Agree0 Disagree0

Ofc rvp would of signed for utd without fergie as he wanted to sign for a BIGGER club with better chances of winning stuff. as no matter what manager we have we will always be bigger then arsenal, and when fab does come back to the EPL it will be for utd as we are bigger then you always will be, no point in going backwards in his career to arsenal
reddevil69

Agree2 Disagree0

You have good imagination. However be sure that it will come true. Oh yes it will come true, you'll have one more "unbelievable" into your collection!

Nicolas_United

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Reddevil69, of course utd are a bigger club than arsenal- no disagreement there.

But don't underestimate cf feelings for arsenal and particularly wenger. He still follows arsenal results every week (speaks often about it on twitter, good game lads, etc) and speaks with wenger regulary. When rvp left arsenal last year on his twitter he put "I am shocked!".

I am not saying he wouldn't join utd (who knows?) at all, only be careful to just simply dismiss arsenal.

Also I don't think people fully appreciate (yet) what a great position arsenal are in financially now. Of course having it and spending it are two different things!

But in a few seasons time, arsenal will have around 70-80 mil a season to use on transfers (separate from the wage bill)and that's without accumulating any debt (how many clubs can say the same? Especially the without debt part).

Again, I am not saying you are not a bigger club, only to not underestimate arsenal now the club has turned the corner financially.

If arsenal and wenger live up to the clubs new financial potential we can be a force again.

The club can move forward from now on -not backwards.
LG

Agree1 Disagree0

We will never spend over 100mill unless the glazers have taken a years supply of happy pills.

Agree0 Disagree0

No offense buddy, but my my my you are living in a proper dream world!
MWredArmy

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you not say the exact same things about RvP last year?, that may be the case but Ronaldo still does that with united, but will he be coming home?, would be move to another club before us if they had more chance of winning things, I think he would, (but we win so its fine).

Agree0 Disagree0

Hex- I am an arsenal fan, I guess your comment is for LG?

Just what to make a point. No one said exactly the same thing with rvp, because they simply could not have done.

The financial situation at arsenal has changed and as LG said the club is in a much better financial situation now, which will continue to improve for the next few seasons.

The finances are there to turn arsenal into a winning side again. That's the challenge for any player joining and wenger and co has to convince them that we mean business.

The financial potential is there, that's a fact, we'll have to see if they club live up to it and deliver, which is another thing entirely ofc.

What are we doing, new to this but have some very reliable sources who told me about fergie retiring and moyes taking around 7 months before it happened. Would love to know what utd are going to do, would love fab, bale and another, don't know if I can really see this but who knows, only tim will tell!

Sly sports united submit new offer for Fabregas. £30m plus add ons, they also say Barca are asking for £35m (so must be willing to sell), and that they've been told that Fabregas is willing to move to United IF Barca accept a bid!

This could be on after all. I certainly hope so

Alex Fergusons Condom

Believable30 Unbelievable19

The first bit is true but Barca have not said they will sell for 35mil they have said no chance. but money does talk let's see if United do up to 35mil c wot happens

Agree1 Disagree0

I have a very strange feeling, sometime around 5 or 6 tomorrow, this bid will be accepted

Agree1 Disagree0

Imo its nearly done if barca were not going to sell they would have said hands off end of they want 35 mil and they will get it I can see this bein comfermed by tueday

Agree1 Disagree0

They have said no chance publicly, none of us know what they are really willing to accept every player has their price and we are in desperate need of some midfield class and they know it. If united are determined to get him this could run on for a while yet.

Stew4d

Agree1 Disagree1

Heard we offered 30m plus add ons that could maybe reach 5m?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sometimes 'no' does actually mean 'no'.

Why would Barca want to completely decimate the midfield of their squad?

DK

Agree0 Disagree0

Any why would united go back in with a higher bid if they hadnt got some kind of feedback from both barca and the player himself that a deal can be done! iMO I think we have been told by the player that if barca agree to sell he's happy to come to old Trafford, as sky atelier reporting! Also I feel barca will sell, reportedly (again heard on a website) a figure of £35m would do it! I'm assuming also that the "add ons" amounts to the extra £5m tryin want! I think we could be on to something and I'm expecting to heard good news early next week

Alex Fergusons Condom

Agree1 Disagree0

I actually believe Barcelona want closer to £35m. Not sure we will pay it though. Certainly not in a lump sum. Perhaps Ed001 has an update if about?

Sly sports claiming that we have now made an improved bid for Cesc apparently £30 million plus add ons.

Believable22 Unbelievable6

We seem to be all out for him. Fingers crossed we get him.

Nicolas_United

Agree2 Disagree0

Lets get real, Barca have to pay Arsenal a percentage of any transfer deal. They paid over 30 million for him. Why on earth would they let him go for less than they paid when they do not want to see him go in the first place.
Just another United smokescreen to stop the supporters moaning about the lack of transfer activity. c'mon get real there's no value in the market. Anyone know Paul Scholes phone number

Agree2 Disagree3

No name poster. Barca paid £26 million actually.

Agree3 Disagree0

Its alreaddy been confirmed that arsenal will not receive 50% that's just a rumour. The only thing arsenal have is a first refusal that all and they won't enforce it as they don't need him they need a striker and that's why arsene wenger tried to discourage a united bid by saying its a waiste of time

Agree0 Disagree1

No name all this smokescreen talk is the most backwards debate in football. Nobody plays around with £30 million, you would have to either be very naive or just an attention seeker to think this is an attempt to appease fans or sell season tickets.

Wazza.

Agree2 Disagree0

Arsenal do have a clause where they get 50% of anything over what they sold him for, so if they sold him for 26 million & United buy him for 36 million they get 50% of the 10 million profit & not 50% of 36million. MIDDLETON RED
