Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I understand that a club has made a direct, and illegal, approach to Lloris and will use the Champions League to try and disrupt him.}

Ed's,

Just wondering if Utd have shown any interest in Khedira, considering he's available on a free transfer? Cheers!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Not really.

Real Madrid are looking much less likely to offer a new deal to Khedira now that Silva has arrived. He is able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any side outside of Spain now and AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Arsenal and Schalke 04 sre all interest. Each of these clubs has spoken with thge representatives of the player. The player's representatives have also approached Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich to guage interest as Khedira is keen to play in the Champions League next season. Chelsea and Arsenal are both concerned about the player's on going fitness. At the end of the day, if he can prove his fitness, Liverpool or Schalke would likely be the best fit for him.}

Ed did we actually bid for him on deadline day a few years ago or was it all speculation? Seems odd Madrid would turn that down to let him go a few years later on a free

{Ed002's Note - I have no recollection Aron.}

Afternoon ed's. A couple of rumours in the last couple of days. Albeit slightly suspect publications but a couple say that we have made a formal approach to bayern for lewandowski. And a couple of others saying we are looking at Jackson Martinez too. Remember reading somewhere regarding martinez that an agent or someone else frim Porto suggested martinez would be moving this summer. I've tried searching but couldn't find much on these 2 and can't remember them being in ed002's overall update.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any bid from MU for Lewandowski and it makes little sense as he is not looking to move. Porto are prepared to cash in on Jackson Martinez with varying degrees of recent interest from Valencia, Inter, Arsenal, Roma, Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Juventus. However, whilst Porto will seek his full release clause of 40M euro but would likely need to settle for less (€36M for want of a number). Two bids from Juventus were turned down and Milan baulked at the asking price. This has left Valencia who are looking to make improvements again this summer, Napoli who have spoken with Porto and the player and have "broadly" struck a deal twice - but have struggled to get the detail finalised - and Arsenal who would need to match the Napoli deal. Spurs and Roma are still a possibility but the price will not be attractive. Atletico and Juventus have certainly moved on. His agent has sounded out Manchester United to see if they are interested.}

For me we need a big, powerful forward at the club. Look at the influence Fellaini has had. I'd be happy with any of Lewandowski, Martinez or Cavani.

Also apologies for my drunken rant at you the other day. About a week ago and probably too insignificant for you to know which post. I can't Remember exactly what was in it but I know it wasn't very affectionate. Quite rightly the post didn't see the light of day.

{Ed002's Note - No problem.}

Colleague of mine from milan mentioned Inter supporters expecting bid for Rafael if the club can't strike a deal for bacary sagna!

I think inter would be a good move for Rafael, shame it hasn't worked out, mostly due to his injury record, no doubt the lad has talent.

Hi Eds

Its been reported that Utd are tracking Eduardo Sasha and Rodrigo Dourado from Internacional

Any substance?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I really have no idea but it would be strange - Rodrigo Dourado would stand pretty much no chance of getting a work permit and it would be an unlikely deal. There is nothing noteworthy about him as a player. Eduardo Sasha is a player another premier league side were watching about three years ago - he has an unusual ownership situation. There is an interesting story about Vitoria de Guimaraes being told by ESG last summer that he could be available for some ridiculous fee - I don't recall the number now.

I can think of another player from Internacional that is sitting in the reserves that Manchester United could be interested in, but these guys do not look likely to me.}

Morning Edds, just come to my attention of young argentine by the name of Jose Augustin Mauri, 18, currently at Parma? If I'm wrong then say, but didn't they go bankrupt? If so, might be one for the taking and future of course? Plays as a CM? Just care to hear your thoughts on the lad? Cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Well he won't be moving to Manchester. Parma's Jose Mauri has attracted the attention of Milan, Wolfsburg, Schalke, Juventus and Boavista in addition to Chelsea who have a tentative agreement to take the player this summer. The player is apparently unsure about a move to England and would like to stay in Italy I understand.}

I spoke to mate over lunch today who works in the marketing department at Under Armour sportswear. He has told me that they have been instructed to draw up several marketing posters and dispays which will be getting implemented in sports stores throughout the UK to release their new sportswear and soccer boots. A major face of one of the sportsmen (according to him) will be Memphis Depay.

Now I am just speculating that this sounds to me Depay will move to England and for him to be considered a major draw for the sports brand he would be going to a 'big club' if it were because if he was still at PSV, joined say Newcastle (no disrespect) or went to a club like PSG how many folk in the UK would recognise Depay's face? Probably not me unless I see him playing week in week out.

We all know the Eds have some inside info but you lads are all welcome for the JMB insider instalment!
