And are we really negotiating with Madrid for Di Maria? Or have United balked at the asking price and looking elsewhere!

{Ed002's Note - Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender has been a player watched by Arsenal and others, including Juventus and Manchester United, for some time. He recently signed a new contract - but I do think that a bid would be made by Arsenal but he is sending out the message that he has no interest in the move. Juventus have dropped any intersest they had. Arsenal have other targets. I don't see him moving.}

It looks like Benatia is long shot for Utd and Bayern best placed to complete a deal.
Would Utd be then looking to Veltman? Or do Utd have an interest in a more established Centre back?

{Ed002's Note - Juventus, Inter Milan, Monaco, Arsenal, Manchester United (Moyes) and Chelsea have shown interest in Gustavo. However, Wolfsburg may well of priced him out of the market and he is happy there. If there is a push it will be from Juventus a replacement for someone leaving there.}

Thank you for a fantastic page! I have searched, but couldn't find any "news" since May regarding an old favourite, Anderson. He was present at training today, and looked very fit in the ice bucket challenge video. Are there interest in Anderson from other clubs? Or will he stay (that is, does Anderson have what LvG demands)? I really hope he can perform as he did some years ago, now that he is under LvG's guidance.

While I would love to see Ando live up to his early promise, I think we really have to accept that it's not going to happen now.
Hopefully with a move to a different club and a fresh start he can still become a decent player, but he isn't going to become the player he could have been.
Could this 'Plan' of Anderson to follow Nani to Lisbon be connected to Lisbon's supposed expectation that Carvalho will leave ed?

You mentioned the other day that PSG were looking to sell a few players to fund their spending, you mentioned Pastore and I wondered if we have shown any interest? I for one think he is a very good player.
{Ed002's Note - No. Pastore has been available but offers from Italy were apparently well below PSGs expectations. Atletico Madrid enquired but that went nowhere. It looks like he will stay.}

Manchester United's representants currently on meeting with Roma's ones for Benatia
The rumours suggest LvG will meet with Sabotini very soon. Benatia prefers BM move, but BM's and Roma's valuation miles apart. This could be where we have the advantage. But we have so many fingers in so many pies, I just cannot see things going our way. I really hope I am wrong on this one.
Don't believe it myself.

Since then there has been nothing in relation to MU - perhaps put off by the asking price.}
Yet whenever I read any rumour linking Arsenal to Carvalho the reported price is in the region of 25 million pounds.
And when it is us it goes up to 37million pounds.

Now we finally know the truth! Not only is Ed002 really Jorge mendes but he' refers to himself in the third person and had a crazy night out drinking in London and woke up in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a smart phone and tons of rumors and info. Hearing we have held talks about freddy guarin and he wants to join utd. Would mean no vidal but a very good player who has few weaknesses.
He is much better than what we already have (excluding Herrera obviously), so would improve us. We all want Vidal, but that may well not happen. I know will not complete the "rebuild" in this window, but I personally feel that we HAVE to sign at least one more decent midfielder in this window if we are to compete for a CL place. So yes, Guarin would be a good addition. Even better, we could sign Guarin and Vidal :)
Good player and will add dynamism to our midfield.
If the Eds are around is there any truth to this?
