Macheda to Spanish second division side Elche on loan, the spanish club have confirmed.

RDG

Believable21 Unbelievable7

If this is true I feel really sad for the lad... he definitely has the potential... all that matters is if we (and more importantly SAF) have the patience...

Or maybe if he could keep outta casino's and from chasing skirt. He's had enough chances, not good enough.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with no name post. He just isn't good enough for utd.

Andrew B

Agree0 Disagree0

He's had lots of chances to prove himself not only at United but other clubs.
Simply not good enough.
The Spanish Second Division is about his level.

Simmo

Agree0 Disagree0

Spanish 2nd Division!? He may as well come and play for my Sunday league team!

CJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Elche are 11 points clear at the top of the second division on 50pts and everyone over here expects them to go up next season which probably makes it a more attractive place for the player.

United have made multiple bids for the Crystal Palace attacker since making the first formal move for the forward last week, when they made a €7.15m opening offer.
Sources have told that the Premier League giants have made "four or five bids" for Zaha, with the final package believed to be €17.9m rising to €20.2m with add-ons.

No way we would pay that sort of money for him.

Shahram

Agree4 Disagree0

Why would we be paying in Euro's?

Agree0 Disagree0

First bid was made first week of January according to my source.

not likely for a player with no top football experience, being realistic your saying he's not too far off RVP's pricetag. Not likely.

RedKen

Agree0 Disagree0

I couldn't see us paying that for him. also, that is some jump in fee from the opening bid I really don't think this is true.

Jamal

Agree0 Disagree0

I do not think the offer would rise that significantly from the original offer. Of course the first offer is often derisory, but United will not pay over the odds for a player, especially in January. I think an initial fee may have been agreed in principle with add-ons being the hold-up.

Perhaps Ed002 knows more?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I really have no interest in discussing the amounts involved.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002, sorry I should have been clearer, what I meant was do you have an update on Zaha in general? Thanks.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - It is down to discussion and of course money Syd. Unless a bid comes in from Spurs then I doubt there will be interest from elsewhere now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed, much appreciated. Will you let us know the fee agreed when or if he has signed if you come across it? Thanks.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - It has to be registered with UEFA so we will see it.}

Txr news :

Manchester United have agreed a staggering £15 million deal to sign wonder kid Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace.

Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been backed by his money men in his bid to land the England starlet and Palace have accepteda fee that guarantees them £10 million.

The extra £5 million will come in appearances and achievements and the whole total is more than the Eagles could refuse for their young attacker.

Palace supremo Steve Parrish - the man who took the club out of administration - haggled for days to get the fee he wants and in the way he asked for.

The final sums are a triumph for the Championship side and also show just how badly Fergie wanted Zaha ahead of rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Zaha was given permission to discuss themove with his potential new boss and met him in a top London hotel on Sunday night.

The exciting young forward - an Arsenal fan - is happy to go to Old Trafford and the last detail will be whether he is returned to Palace on loan for the rest of the season.

Palace wanted Zaha to come back but United have paid so heavily for him that they have yet to sort out that major detail between them. However Zaha will be a United player foryears to come, with sources revealing he is signing a long-term deal that will see his wages start at TEN TIMES his current level of £150,000-a-year.

Hmm! Wasn't SAF on a plane to Dubai sunday?

Agree0 Disagree0

Another pathetic Cut & Paste!

Mike B.

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll be on 40k max.

Fresh!

Agree0 Disagree0

Fresh! the £150k stated is per year, which would suggest his wage at United to be £1.5m per year, wich translates to just under £30k per week. Not saying it's true but I think you misread that bit. £30k would sound realistic if we do sign him IMO.

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

150k per year? How is that 30k p/w? He'd get 150k in 50 weeks if he was on 30k a week...

Fresh!

Agree0 Disagree0

Math is not a strong point I see! 150k would be earned in 5 week if the wage was 30k per week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fresh! and noname

I explained it in my post, try reading slower. The OP states he will earn 10 times his CURRENT wage of £150k PER YEAR, which would mean he would earn £1.5m PER YEAR at United, which equates to approx. £30k PER WEEK.

Sorry for the caps but hope that gives clarity.

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

If I signed zaha I'd want him in the squad straight away gives us another dimension going into the important part of the season.

A lot of stories running this morning that a fee for Zaha has been agreed and Fergie met up with him in london after the Spurs game to talk specifics etc.

Part that made me laugh was the amount that he's set to earn, £150,000 a week. (i'm laughing while typing this).

Ozwald

Believable6 Unbelievable31

The story in the newspaper says he is currently earning £150k a year. He will be on ten times that amount at United (£30k a week).

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

The article you read actually said that his wages are due to increase 10 times from 150,000k per year (not week)

Agree0 Disagree0

However Zaha will be a United player for years to come, with sources revealing he is signing a long-term deal that will see his wages start at TEN TIMES his current level of £150,000-a-year

you must of mis read it mate

I laughing reading your post!! Did you not think to double check your eyes when you saw wages enough for A prone world class winger?.. Lol, you deserve more abuse for this 1 Ozzy! Got away lightly!...

if we are to sell de gea (hope not) what about simon mignolet he is only 24 and been great for sunderland the last 2 seasons and has the most saves in the league

Believable9 Unbelievable25

I will be so disapointed if United decides to sell De Gea. They had to know, when they signed him, that it would take time to adapt and that he was a young goalkeeper with loads of potensial. I feel that he has showed a lot of progress this season (handling in the area), and there is no better shot-stopper in the league. He is only 21/22, and none of us expected him to fill VDS boots right away, did we?

If United stand by him, like we should, it will also send out a message that younger people get the chance to prove themselfes at United... wich we have been poor of lately (I can't stop thinking about Pogba).

Steffen

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't understand how they could even begin to consider a sale. He continues to make saves which will win us games. He made saves yesterday which few others would have.

MDJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps the United staff do not believe he is progressing? Perhaps he has shown a desire to move back to Spain?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Another poor punch yesterday in lead to equalizer. Some good shot stopping ability but we need more than that in our league. If I were Fergie I would get rid if we can get money back. No doubt he will look better if he goes to spain as not as much direct ariel play into the box but it is horses for courses i'm afraid. We need presence and authority and somebody with the ability to calm things by catching the ball. TIME IS TICKING.....Begovic for no1 I feel.

Buzbo

Agree0 Disagree3

Well said Steffen. You stole my thunder.

Patzi

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't like to see him leave best shot stopper on the league by a mile .he will only get better keepers don't hit there peak till the late 20s. But if he was sold fraiser forster for me quilty keeper young and english

Agree1 Disagree1

De gea make me nervous and he always will. When you look at a keeper like cech he looks massive in the goal in comparison to de gea. He has no command over the defence and lacks organisational skills.

Tomr

Agree0 Disagree0

De Gea out. Fraser Forster in.

Agree0 Disagree1

How about a double raid on Celtic for Forster and Wanyama. These two would really add a commanding presence to our team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would anyone want to sell DDG. First of all one mistake in the match which unfortunately lead to a goal(unlucky). but mind you even the best in the world do mistakes and I can hardly compare any goal keeper at his age to DDG and he ll be the best in the world is he is given time(need to put on some weight).

i still remember VDS spill a ball coming straight at him into his own net (in his last season).

My opinion, first find a goal keeper who is much better keeper(effort-able) and long lasting and then thing of selling our first choice keeper.

Why would barca want to buy a over rated player as their first choice keeper when they are playing against the likes of RM there CR.

Agree0 Disagree0

He makes one small mistake near the end of the game after keeping us in it with a string of good saves and everyone focuses on that. Give the lad a chance.
I though this was a rumours page - not a "should we go for this guy" purew useless speculation page? Far too much "we should buy this guy" on this page, it should be solid rumour, not the wishes of someone used to seeing players on FIFA 13.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a very good shot stopper, his distribution is second to none and tbf la liga is totally different Spanish sides very rarely put high balls in to box

Just watching the Ajax vs Feyenoord game on ESPN. Whilst everyone goes on about Cristian Eriksen (and quite rightly - he's a fantastic player), how strong are the rumours of United's interest in Viktor Fischer? He has scored 2 goals in this game & made some fantastic runs & chances. He's definitely one to keep an eye on...

Believable28 Unbelievable5

Very good player hope we sign him

David Gill I quote said, "Zaha is one of the players we are looking at", which means we may go for 1 or 2 more players after Zaha......Edd I believe we maybe in for another or other signings this window

Believable4 Unbelievable20

If you actually read it he was referring to Summer

Agree0 Disagree0

David Gill said Zaha is ONE of the players we are LOOKING at. How do you deduce that we maybe in for one or two more? Obviously with Gill being on record as stating that then we are probably giving serious consideration to a possible transfer. I would imagine that Utd will be LOOKING at 50 or more players at anyone time, given the size of our scouting network BUT I do not think we will be buying 50 or more players.

Shame, that's the end of his career at the top. Still think we should have bought him at that price, I guess he must have moved on his wage demands.
Paulo

Thank goodness! All the "WS to OT" can now stop and we can put good funds for fees and wages for a younger player who does not have the ego and other baggage that accompanies WS whereever he goes.

Really, Bebe already has moved on a loan deal to Portugal which makes the rest of the post lack any credibility.
