Has there been any interest from United in Zenit left-back Criscito? He's a good player and if United are serious about getting a replacement for Evra I think he should be up for consideration.

Believable7 Unbelievable11

I doubt we would touch him after his match fixing trouble. Better options available anyways

=v1=

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he's under investigation for match fixing, am I right ed's?, not the best role model for the youngsters and it doesn't give the club a good image, good player but I'd stay away, of course ocould be mistaken?.
(changing sign off name slightly by the way)
MaccaTheRed"

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop playing football manager! Criscito is nowhere near good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Criscito is Italy's #1 fullback and can also play centre-half. You don't need to play Football Manager to tell that this guy is good. But under the match-fixing circumstances I agree it is unlikely United will make a bid.

I heard that Baines may be on his way to ot simply because evra cant carry on forever and we have to rest a lot more this season because if he carries on like this he is not going to last long

Believable6 Unbelievable26

I heard this rumour too.... I'd love to see ''Rambo'' Baines at OT too

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines at OT please tell me your joking can't even get in England starting line up

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol 'can't even get in England starting line up' he's up against the best left back in the world for the last 4 or 5 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like your logic. Very well thought out and communicated. Good try!

DodgyBanter

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you mean baines can't get in the england starting line up, just like Jones, Smalling, Carrick or Cleverly?
Karl Marx

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair Evra could play at his current standard for the next 50 years.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

So we're buying Baines simply because you say Evra "can't go on forever"?
Not for Baines' (hard to pin point) abilities?
Blimey, we are plumming new depths.

Is there a player out there that can go on for ever?

Agree0 Disagree0

Giggs can...

Kai

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot will bad mouth any English player we move for because they generally more expensive! Baines is quality but Ashley cole is the best in the world and therefore he can't get in the squad. I think if cole got injured Baines would be more than a replacement he would really step up!
I'd love him at united!

If the report on skysports is true about Man Utd having a rejected bid from Porto for Rodriguez... gives me the idea that Nani may not have a future at our club anymore. Wonder what he must be thinking

fearny

Believable24 Unbelievable7

Where does it say we have had a bid rejected?

Calvin

Agree0 Disagree0

Or Nani could be kept and we would have 4 top wingers at the club. Greater depth in the squad too.

Mad Hatter

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't see Nani staying if Rodriguez came... Could only see it as a replacement

fearny

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani is on his way out.
Hopefully.

Halesini {Ed004's Note - You must have a personal vendetta against the man. I honestly can't remember any of your posts that haven't included him}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodriguez can play even as a striker.

rodriguez wayne

nani carrick kagawa valencia

ferdcoast

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be a replacement for Giggs. Gives him one season to settle then when Giggs retires end of next season be ready to fully take over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani will stay and provide cover/competition. As frustrating as he can be at times he is a good player and wants to stay and play for us.

Frictiondixon

Agree0 Disagree0

Much rather spend a extra 10m to get Bale. Nani is worth over 30m IMO and 40m should get bale.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where does it say United have had a bid rejected?

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't Understand why people don't rate Nani!..he makes things happen and always a threat on goal. Some 'fans' need to get behind the team and appreciate the players we have rather than playing 'fantasy' football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said just support our players rather than slate them or go back to fifa12 on your x box
redtonka

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani is class , if anyone wants talent like him and the goals scored/created out of our club youre way off

Dustbin

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously......what is your beef withNani?;quite simply one of the best players at the club and yet so called 'fans' continue to berate him.Manchester United do not play their football on the X-box/playstation etc so please leave one of the best talents at the club a break;Cristiano didnt exactly ripup trees when he arrived and given an uninterrupted run in the team Nani will be a star..

Agree0 Disagree0

'Cristiano didn'y exactly ripup trees when he arrived' Yeah that might be valid if Nani had just arrived but he's about to enter his 6th season! Saying that he is a good spark player even with his inconsintanseys.

Red Joe

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani hasnt just arrived he,s been here 5 years

Agree0 Disagree0

You guys have seen what! Rodriguez on YouTube and maybe 2 or 3 games if your lucky. You want to flog Nani for 30m and buy him, which won't leave a whole lot of change. Some of you say this than argue players like Chico and Cleverly are good players. The Mexican is awful and Cleverly is average , when he is fit, which isn't very often. So what happens when this 20 year old winger, from the land of the coco leaf, buzzes into old Trafford and is inconsistent, because no one know if he is , or not because he's only had one good year, in a not very good league. Scream like little girls and say, he's inconsistent, lets but a "marquee player", they look great on YouTube and only cost 50m. So the idea is to keep the dross and sell the jewels, then spend all the money on a winger, when our midfield has more holes in it, than a jumper after a battle with moths. Jesus, we should come to an agreement with Nani, one of our last creative players and spend where we need to spend. Please get real keep whats good and replace the midfield dross, like Anderson, Cleverley and old boys like Scholes and Giggs, Gods in the past, but old as a black and white movie now. I sometimes think half the posters on here don't even support, let alone love United.I am seriously happy that SAF doesn't write on hear, or read on hear. We must buy midfielders and keep Nani.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

Good news!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Also people who keep mentioning FIFA and Xbox, nani is much better on Fifa than in real life so that argument doesn't really work!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani proved yet again how frustrating he can be in the quarter final last night. His decision making was terrible and he s demanding to be in the the top pay bracket at the club. The greedy f00ker. Does he not earn enough

Agree0 Disagree0

If i got offered 30 million pounds for Nani i would rip there hands off. Yes theres no doubt that Nani is a talented footballer but he is far to inconsistent and so fustrating in far to many games.
For me he has become even more inconsistent over the past two years.
I have to say the post about Ronaldo not ripping up trees mad me giggle, Nani is entering his 6th season with Man United.

Simmo

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, he's been here years, but he's still improving steadily each season.

Ok, most days he's effectively a good squad player, but on his good days he is one of the best wingers in the world.

Thorne

Agree0 Disagree0

Simmo - if someone offers £15m for Nani we should take it!

Halesini

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would somebody offer 15 million, can you answer me?
And the answer if that was true would be no i wouldn't except 15 million.

I've got news on Alba, first,to let you know I'm from Dominican Republic(eds can confirm) and we speak spanish,I read this spanish website everyday,Mercafutbol, and they're reporting today that Manuel Llorente,Valencia's president is indignant after Barca bought 2 of their youth pearls. To Marca, he said: "They will pay this dearly", he added: "Barca broke the ethic code between clubs" "It's not understood that a club with such economic potencial dedicates to sign 12 y/o kids"

RedDevilGirl {Ed004's Note - I can confirm the location is in the Dominican Republic}

Believable18 Unbelievable5

Hopefully he sign for us then just what we need

Agree0 Disagree0

Even then, it is highly likely that he will be signed by Barca, me thinks. If he wants to hold down a regular place in the Spanish National Team, he will want to remain in Spain.

I will be glad if we can buy him, but I don't think we will have a great chance for Spanish players if Barca/Madrid are also after them.

EDS?any Idea Where Gylfi Sigurdsson going? {Ed002's Note - I understand Liverpool is very likely.}

Believable7 Unbelievable4

He should be going to utd!

Agree0 Disagree0

Presume that 2nd post is from a Scouser?

DarkLard08

Agree0 Disagree0

Not good enough for united. I mean he wasn't even good enough for Hoffenheim

Agree0 Disagree0

Gylfi is a class player. I first saw him when he was on loan at Crewe and he carried the whole team when he was under 20. At Swansea he's been ace too. I think he would be a cracking buy for United.

Mats Daehli will be training with Molde for the next week or so.

Sydney!

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Possible loan?

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry? meaning?

Agree0 Disagree0

He is training with some of the Norway seniors at Molde and with Ole getting ready for a tournament I believe. Good for his development.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

So what

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who said so what, matts daehli is one of the best youth prospects utd have,im guessing your one of these supporters who are only interested in them spending millions of pounds on so called big named players, some of us are actually interested in the development of our youth players

phil

Agree0 Disagree0

Has anybody seen much of him at Utd? I remember us signing him and a bit of a fan fare about how good he could be in a couple of years. Without over hyping youngsters like so often happens does he look as talented with as much potential as made out and does anybody think he is anywhere near breakign through (he is still very young I believe) and where is his best position? Always good to learn a bit more abotu youngsters without getting carried away of course

little bit of news i have heard is that both malaga and paris want sneijder. Malaga supposed to be offering straight cash whilst paris are offering cash plus players deal. Apparently moratti wants pastore involved in any deal. There may also be interest from City in our friend wesley as well.

Believable13 Unbelievable6

It is never going to happen and would be a complete waste of money as we already have kagawa!!!

Just looking on web, REDARMY website says some ex cricketer just bumped into Robin VAn Persie in Manchester, also Sky Sports now linking us to James Rodriguez claiming we had a rejected bid.

Wouldnt be a bad pair to bring in. and yes i know its doubtful

I saw that Tweet on Twitter yesterday. It was something from Neil Fairbrother (Ex-Lancs) who saw him in Cafe in Hale. This place is often frequented by MUFC and MCFC players so seems plausible. Don't however think he would be strolling about.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do we have room for Van Persie? If I was SAF (which Im not!) I would sign the Dutch striker..... but would it hold back Danny W and Javier H?
Do we have the money £30,000?

De Rossi is saying he has offer from England according to SS.

He said: "I have received many offers from English football. And I must say that I feel attraction for it.

"I like English football very much. I think now it's probably more interesting than Italian football.

"There are lots of outstanding and talented players, as is the case for Spain as well."

Despite signing a 5 year deal earlier this year, he has said this ahead of the England match! I, for one, would love him. Kind of player we need in there but may (unfortunately, as I like him) be bad news for Carrick.

SB.

Believable9 Unbelievable16

Why do people post their oppinions instead of valid rumours on a roumour site.....so you like De Rossi, i would like to see United buy Song, but as their no rumour regarding Song and United i dont post it....come one man post rumours and stop chatting about what you like......

Cape Town, SA {Ed004's Note - That can be classed as a rumour as due to the fact it says "I have received many offers from English football" the implication of that is that teams have been interested in him and whats to say Utd haven't been...}

Agree0 Disagree0

Blimey, there have been some grumpy people on here lately. Chill out chaps.
Mr Q

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed/Mr Q. This is a quote from the player himself (the SS stands for Sky Sports, just incase), not an opinion. I would suggest reading some the rags/watch the news rather than trolling.
My opinion of De Rossi is positive. He's a solid DM, gets stuck in and intimidates players. He is skillful and does have a sweet pass and shot.
As for Song, he wouldn't get into my team above Carrick.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have thought someone like De Rossi was just the kind of player Carrick would benefit from playing alongside.
Bad news for Fletcher, or Ando even.
You do know that Fergie loves Carrick, right?
Has already said he will be our main man in midfield for three or four years.

Bob

Agree0 Disagree0

Carrick main man in our midfield for the next 4 or 5 years lol im sure fergie dont like him that much ffs

sparkyred

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love Di Rossi at United... He's done a great job even at centre half in the Euro's but for me he showed a Roy Keane Moment in the first game against Spain. Whilst the team was celebrating the goal against Spain Di Rossi ran up the pitch to give Ballotelli a bollocking about something he wasn't happy with. Something we came to see Roy Keane do time and time again. A true winner...! Fergie sign him up...!

Agree0 Disagree0

He's also said Steven Gerrard is his idol and hero
So that links him to Liverpool aswell does it?

Agree0 Disagree0

He has probably signed his last big contract there now. Don't see us buying a 28 yr old tied-down-with-5 yr-contract player.

Bayern Munich are ready to offer 40 million euros to Athletic Bilbao for 23 year old defender Javi Martinez.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lewandowski...18 million
Sneijder...22-25 million
Jetro Willems - 8 million

Believable13 Unbelievable43

Behave yourself!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, so glad your not SAF.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jetro willens was useless at the euros, he is hardly good enough. after watching the dutch go there and not even try, i would stay away.

sneijder isnt worth that much, Lewandowski is worth much more than that

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Willems is not good enough.
Lewandowski will not be joining, we will not buy a striker. At least not a big name striker. Have you been watching Welbeck at the Euro's?
Sneijder....it was inevitable i suppose. Lack of imagination on the part of the tabloids and everybody is lapping it up.

Manutd have apparently tabled a 20 million pound bid for javi martinez and 1 million for connor mcaleny from bilbao and everton respectively

Believable25 Unbelievable25

Source? £20 million is a bit low, we may have to up it to £25 million atleast to have a chance. But great player, and exactly what we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly? I hope so!

20 million sounds a realistic price to start at.. Test the water and work our way up! His release clause is around 35 million so you may see him go for around 30 million, just hope this is true!

LUKE CHADWICKS LOVE CHILD

Agree0 Disagree0

But didnt we 'test the water' with modric, sniejder, torres before he went liverpool, essien before he went chelsea, ronaldinho before he went to barca. therefore 'testing the water' is a completely flawed plan and most probably only insults bilbaos board more than anything and will only push their asking price from us higher. 20 million is just going to be laughed off for a player of his quality and his demand. so we should just offer 30 mill and get it over with.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the no named post above:

Don't be so ridiculous, testing the water is exactly what happens in business. You make it sound like we're the only team that does it. If you see a house up for sale for £195,000, do you think any sane person would immediately meet the asking price? Of course not. You'd dangle a carrot in front of the owner with an offer that is under the valuation set by the seller. When the two parties have come to an agreement, the deal is sealed.

Go back to playing FIFA.

Jules

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a wonderful player, but I feel he won't leave Spain and his transfer will be around 40 million Euros (34 million quid). However, the next best thing is M'vila and Arsenal are quibbling about paying 17m. We really should jump in there. Marvin Martin is also a really good deal, apparently available for 15m Euros (just over 12m quid). Fantastic pair for less money than Modric and they are just 21 and 24. Kagawa, M'vila, Powell and Martin for under 35m down. Despite looking poor in the Euros Willems would also be worth snapping up for 10 m euros. He wasn't ready for the Euros being barely 18, but is far ahead of Fabio and could be eased into the team over the next couple of seasons. 43m for that lot sounds affordable, allowing for 20m coming from sales (Berbatov 6m, Anderson 8m, Macheda 2m, De Laet and James gone for 2m, Norwood 1m and maybe Park for 2m)
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

@Jules,

so why would you offer so little for a player in such high demand from clubs we cant compete with? offering a slightly higher price would mean that the agreement would be made with us before the likes of s***ty or chelsea offer. doesnt seem to make sense offering low when the player is in high demand? however i do agree that you should when the player ISNT in demand, theres no competition from other teams so theres no pressure to get a deal done quickly like with the kagawa deal. however, like in the deals above, with exception to sneijder we have 'tested the water' with all those players and how many did we sign? 0. were all the players in demand? yes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Strootman instead of martin !!!!!!

20 Jun 2012 22:55:09
Possible 3 more signings depending on any developments at the club.

First will be the completed deal of Henriquez from Universidad de Chile for around an initial £3million.

Second will be the centre of the park. Modric was the main target but I believe he is off to Madrid. Two backups Utd will be looking at are Gago of Madrid and Thiago of Barcelona. Gago would be the cheaper option and more likely but both are very talented.

The third will be an unexpected signing in the way Fergie would have expected Nani to sign a new deal. If a deal cannot be agreed once he returns from Euro 2012 they will ship him out and replace him with James Rodriguez for around £23 million and Anderson.
