Ed, what do you know of Elliot Kebbie the kid were supposedly signing for £500,000 fromLeeds?
Raffa {ed's note - is that the lad that rejected Everton and United to stay at Leeds? Not yet 15 but has an England U16 cap?}

@United have been tracking him for 18 months but he was a stubborn loyal Leeds fan, he has finally caved and hes agreed to sign for United for 500k. He is 17 years old.

Sydney! {ed's note - so it is the lad that rejected you and Everton? Last year I mean? If so I am not sure on his age, he was reported as 14 in all the reliable reports, it was just in the tabloids that he was reported as 16.}

@Ed you are spot on he turned 16 in September, the newspaper i read got it wrong, so yes he is the same one who turned down Villa, Everton and us when he was 14. Wiki is not a great source but they do get date of births right. Have you seen him play Ed?

Sydney! {ed's note - I haven't mate, I have heard good things though.}

"Sorry redman but there has been official written statement by the united board to the bondholders that NOT a penny has left the club towards the parent company or the glazers in dividends.

Sydney

The question is whether money will come from the club to pay these debts off? Is there an official statement confirming this will not happen? Please post a link"

So Sydney since we learnt the Glazers were to pay off the PIKs tomorrow, do you have a link to an official club statement saying they would not be taking funds from the club or using any of their assets etc to do it? They may have said dividends had not been taken in the past but is there something officially from the club saying that the Glazers would not be using any club assets or funds towards paying off the PIKs. I really hope there is something.

Not a rumour just a theory that Capello is looking forward to pair Rooney up front with Andy Carroll and Capello who has come under a lot of criticism is being backed by Fergie.

Could Fergie be lining up a move for Andy Carroll and be using Capello to influence Carroll to join United?

Manchester United are close to securing a deal for Atletico Madrid keeper David de Gea. The fee is thought to be around £17 million. The deal is very likely as de Gea would love to join United and also idolises Vandersar.

@Some news coming from the Epson arena (Joke), Scholes & Giggs will be offered new contracts this month. Fergie believes they are still fit enough to play for United as valuable squad players, they will also help to finish blood our youngsters. He also believes to much change in one year could have a bad impact on united. Its likely Owen, VDS & Neville will retire this season and Giggs & Scholes next season.

Oh and Lindegaard will sign for United tomorrow evening.

"@Could they inform the bondholders tomorrow when the PIKs are being paid off?

Sydney!"

Before making any written guarentee like they have done to the PIKs holders the glazers will have well in advance secured the funds they needed. So it would have showed on the united accounts and they would have informed the bondholders last time. No united asset or revenue has been touched i am quite sure of that.

{Editor's Note: We'll see in January then - clearly you have no understanding of how contract negotiations work at all. I will put my money on Kakuta signing a new contract at Chelsea over the next few weeks - the issue is playing time and not money. No doubt the other Eds will show me the error of my ways. For your sake I hope that Manchester United will snatch him away with promises of riches and first team football.}

Editor - Of course i know how contract negotiations work, i did see the Rooney saga. I think he may sign a new contract with Chelsea too but it is all about the money else he would have signed one of the two contracts he has already rejected. All i am saying is that from a very average source i have to admit, i was told United have offered him more than double what Chelsea have offered him, so knowing Chelsea have offered around £18,000 a week i estimated it to be around £40,000 a week.

I too believe he will end up negotiating a new deal with Chelsea but i guarantee you that if he has not signed it by January then United will be speaking to him. Is it that much of a shock for you that United needing a left sided attacking midfielder would try and sign a 19 year old future star who plays as an attacking midfielder and on the left. And he happens to be free.

SHOCK HORROR!

{Editor's Note: His problem is over the amount of first team action the club are willing to "commit" to - not money. Your "average source" is spectacularly wrong.}

{Editor's Note: Contract negotiations at Chelsea will not include any consideration of the contract's given to Manchester City players. It would be like Darren Gibson demanding the same deal as Yaya Toure or Bebe demanding the same deal as Balotelli - it is simply nonsense. So if you know that Manchester United are interested in Kakuta you may wish to have them contact Just Football as his agents have previously only noted provisional interest from Bayern Munich. I assume then that he will be signing a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United in January?}

Editor - Kakuka is the same age as Balotelli and he would say in terms of quality they are very similar, he has given Chelsea three years of his life, its his second contract and at the very least he is going to think he is worth the same as what Daniel Sturridge is currently getting (70k a week). Why wouldn't he think that?

If Chelsea and him cannot agree a contract and he becomes available in January then yes United will be one of the many clubs talking to him. If you ask one or two of the other Editors they will confirm there is reported interest from United. United watched him from the age of 15 before Chelsea tapped him up, he was always linked to United. Fergie was said to be a big admirer of him.

Manchester United will offer Gael Kakuka £40,000 a week to leave Chelsea, Chelsea will not budge on their £18,000 a week offer so its a good possibility he could end up at the Epson Arena this summer for fee.

Editor - How do Chelsea expect him to sign a new contract when City gave Balotelli then 19 a deal worth £80,000 a week?

{Editor's Note: I fail to see the relevance of what Manchester City play Balotelli to Chelsea seeking to have Gael Kakuta sign a new contract. The basis of that arguement could be applied to any player in contract negotiations. I very much doubt Manchester United are interested in Kakuta in any case.}

Editor - In all due respect i know United are interested in Kakuka, and i am trying to see it from Kakuka's point of view, if Balotelli's first City contract is £80,000 a week at just 19, then why should he accept £18,000 a week when he has been at Chelsea for three years and he is signing his second contract with them.

Lets not forget Sturridge is on £70,000 a week and he was 19 when he signed a Chelsea contract too.

{Editor's Note: Contract negotiations at Chelsea will not include any consideration of the contract's given to Manchester City players. It would be like Darren Gibson demanding the same deal as Yaya Toure or Bebe demanding the same deal as Balotelli - it is simply nonsense. Epson, I can't see why they would buy into the club. I could for example see why Nike as a sports related business might do it but not Epson. Epson shareholders would be right to ask how the club fitted within their assets especially having to pay a likely minimum £1.2Bn out. Normally there are synergies when a business buys, something they need which makes them a better all round business in the field they are in. Conglomerates do expand but I would look at what is in the Epson group and see whether an English football club is something they need. I could see that synergy more so with say Nike especially as they have an existing connection and know how much they make from us now in shirt sales.

If the PIKs are paid off on Monday I would hope the Glazers will explain how. Certainly the interesting thing is how little information is available on what they are doing. Normally something or even a good rumour is available but this time nothing. I just hope the PIks are paid off with external money and not something contrived through new borrowing.

Red Man

{Editor's Note: the 2018 World Cup bid goes the way of England there will be some significant sponsorship opportunities available. Is there anything to stop the owners selling the naming rights to Old Trafford? The Epson Inkjet Arena perhaps.}

@Hi Red, I have to disagree with you about the Nike thing, Nike would lose money rather than gain it by buying United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Bayern etc supporters would refuse to buy Nike merchandise therefore it would not help them at all.

Ed has made a good point, we may have sold our naming rights from 2011-2018 for 220m, perhaps more? I would imagine it will be called the 'Epson arena'.

I would still call it Old Trafford, you would still call it Old Trafford but Editor would Sky Sports & BBC have to call it Epson Arena by law? Or could they get away with still calling it Old Trafford?

Sydney!

{Editor's Note: There will not be any law forcing people to call a building anything in particular. But I think this may well be a possibility of what is happening in the backgound.}

"~Ed is this the genuine Red Man? If so what do you make of these Epson rumours & the PIKs being paid off on Monday? Will we find out what's going on this Monday do you think?
{Editor's note - We will find out on monday, I hope.}"

Answer- Yes I posted that
As far as the PIKs being paid off on Monday , I can't see the Glazers borrowing at a significantly better rate unless they offered some better security which for an amount of borrowing over £200M would likely have to involve the club.
Everyone is saying this doesn't involve the club but I would be interested to see an official statement to say that.

However as I said I heard a whisper that I posted.

@You probably won't get this til the morning now, but watching MOTD i noticed EPSON on the billboards, so evidently Epson are just our sponsors.

Sydney!

*I wouldn't have thought that the Glazers would sell just yet. They seem to be drawing in new sponsers every week which enables them to pay off more debt. . .which in turn means when they do eventually sell, a bigger portion of the reported £1billion+ fee will go nicely into their back pockets. Nice if you have anything to sell for that amount eh? I don't think my retro tape deck on ebay will fetch quite so much. .
