what is the possibility that Nani will not sign for Madrid in future?

Believable5 Unbelievable15

Well every player is replaceable and it would take a good offer of, well certainly over 30 million, nearer 40 million if players like Downing and Henderson are going for 20 million That wasn't intended as a dig at the scousers more just a price guideline

More to the point though is do Madrid actually need or want the player and have a space in the team for him? i think they don't.

Agree0 Disagree0

There are the following possibilities:
a).Nani wants to go but United dont.
b).Nani wants to go and United also wants the same.
c).United wants him to go but Nani doesnt want to go.
d).Neither of them want him to go.
e).Neither wants to go but Madrid give 100m euros and 350k a week. So their mind changes.
f).Madrid doesnt want him.
Any of the above.
Thank you very much.

In summer Juventus were looking at Nani with offers considered less than £20M. That is obviously too low but I believe United would have considered £25M.

Now Nani has had a decent start to the season not unlike last year but that doesnt mean that will continue over the whole season, maybe it will this season. He certainly isnt worth 100M even now.

If Nani doesnt follow last seasons decline then he will be worth keeping beyond this season. I hope he keeps his form this season but after 5 games there is no reason to worry about whether Nani will or will not go to Madrid.

My guess is the offer he wanted didnt come in summer and actually he chose to stay with us to see if he could improve.

Maybe a Nani plus cash swap for Ronaldo next summer.

Red Man

Red Man

Agree0 Disagree0

In the current transfer market with prices completely ridiculous in my humble opinion then Nani should be worth at least £40m if downing and henderson are worth £20m

Agree0 Disagree0

When Ronaldo left, he had achieved everything there is to achieve in a United shirt.

Once Nani has achieved everything there is to achieve as a United player then why not move on to achieve more?

The thing with being the best is that there's no where else to go but down. If you leave as the best then you can achieve even more wherever it is that you go.

Look at Ronaldo now. Still banging in the goals and still getting assists in almost every game he plays.

I believe Nani could be as good one day... not better, just as good.

Get me as one of your nani

do you guys see Cristiano Ronaldo coming back?

Believable11 Unbelievable30

I think Elvis coming back is more likely!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah next week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely no chance he shat his nest when he left, plus Utd would never pay the 300k or whatever he's on in wages

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe you all wont agree with me but I believe he belongs to the class of mercenaries. He will go wherever he gets the maximum money, be it shi**y or russian league. He's just an arrogant and greedy b**tard

SHAITAN

Agree0 Disagree0

Ronaldo went to Madrid as he told SAF he wanted to some time before he went.

At what point has he ever indicated his next move would be money based?

If you watched Graham Hunter on Sky News he was certain that Mourinho would be our next Manager and Ronaldo would come back.

My question not be whether he would want to come back, it would be whether the Glazers would spend on a player that may not have a bigger sell on a year or two later.

Red Man

Agree0 Disagree0

Red Man, Ronaldo himself said in an interview at the beginning of the season that if Mourinho had left he would have ended at Sh**ty as they had a nice package for him. It is normal for a person to go to a place where they get paid more and Ronaldo is no different. But claims from United supporters that Ronaldo still has his heart set for us is bs. And about his arrogance, everyone should know this from his interviews and comments. Also you are saying he might end up at United, I hope you are right, he is world class after all.

SHAITAN

Agree0 Disagree0

The interview where he supposedly said he'd be at City if Mourinho had left has been flat out denied several times.

Red Dawn

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaitan a don't believe that interview he defitenly did say that he misses epl and Manchester he o's a lot fergie and still contact him regularly. Does mancini but he would happily spend his career at real madrid

Does anybody else think the Fergie might give Owen a game on Saturday if Hernandez isn't fit or will he put Welbeck back in the team. I think Owen had a good game on tuesday and may deserve a start in the prem. Just a thought.

Jamie

Believable15 Unbelievable3

I hope so mate, i think he deserves and has earned his start and i think saf will realise that. Rooneys and Owens individual qualities make them a great combination IMO

JWalk

Agree0 Disagree0

He always plays very well for Utd and give it his all. I think he could play as wellbeck has just come back from injury and he may give Hernandez a rest after A.Cole horrendous challenge

Agree0 Disagree0

Owen would struggle against Shawcross, Upson & Huth because of his size and lack of strength. For a game against Stoke we will need Welbeck's size, strength & great heading ability. I would like to see Owen start against Basel on Tuesday, he would match up better against them.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

If we keep the ball on the ground and play good football owens movement and eye for a goal could give shawcross a co trouble but i think welbeck will start
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's not get sentimental. Owen is a past master. He adds nothing that cannot be supplied by speedier, stronger and better footballers. Welbeck and Rooney are the best front partnership that we have. Let's not mess.

Vulcan

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to see him starting or even giving him a decent run out in the 2nd have and then playing against basel

sf

Agree0 Disagree0

I honestly think that Welbeck and Rooney upfront produces the best football however Chica's finishing and movement is fantastic.. it all depends on what players we play in midfield, i would love to see welbeck starting because he was starting to look a real talent before he limped off with that hamstring injury!

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I don't really buy your argument Sydney. None of our strikers can match the Stoke defenders for size, while only Rooney has any hope of out muscling them. However, what they can't cope with is movement. Hernandez would be perfect against them, but considering he's (a) still injured, or (b) would be targeted by Stoke, because lets face it their defence are brutes, Owen is the best option. He deserves a shot and this game is as good as any. If I was in Fergie's shoes I wouldn't to risk either Welbeck or Hernandez against Stoke.

Danny Pughnited

Agree0 Disagree0

Dimitar Berbatov.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Owen will play against Basel

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

'Danny'

Owen is small, weak and because of his age he has lost his yard of pace. Owen IMO will be very easy to deal with by Shawcross & Huth who are not slow. Upson is the only one you could call slow. Welbeck's speed, great heading ability and his strength makes him the perfect striker to play against Stoke. Or we have Hernandez' sharp pace and quick movement, he will also be a handful. Owen doesn't have any of these attributes and IMO does not match up to Stoke very well at all.

Owen can punish defenses, but Drogba, Torres & Suarez struggled against Shawcross, I don't think Owen will be at all effective against this defense. Just my opinion bud.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Syd.

I agree with your point on Owen, Welbeck is definatley my pick also. Huth on the other hand is definately been slow and has been for years, only Shawcross can really handle the top end strikers of the league. We'll run round I think this Saturday.

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye welbeck has a a good start to the season but stil most ov the time loses the ball alot and looks isolated upfront. whoever said rooney welbeck is our best combination is daft cos hernandez is wel better than welbeck imo. dont get me wrong welbeck looks like a very good future prospect but not ther just yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Hernandez has 3 goals in 2 games against Stoke!

Agree0 Disagree0

Be nice to see Owen start. I think it will be Rooney and Berbatov though. I can't see Berbatov being left out by Owen, after all... Berbatov did bag 21 goals for us last season. Maybe he'll come on as a sub later on in the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

It has to be super danny welbeck !!

Talksports online poll today is who is the biggest flop andy carroll or torres, wonder what our scouse stalkers will make of it ha,have to go for torres for now just cause of the fee maybe carroll by the end of tge year.
Ste 73

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Torres imo has been alrite, just hasnt been scoring goals which i know is what a striker is meant to be doing, but his talent has always been there and he's definately starting to look the player that he was over the past couple of games....

andy carroll is a donkey imo......he's just a big strong lad and thats it....kind of like peter crouch except better built...although crouchy would have better skills / feet than carroll....

really dont see the logic in why the hell they spent 30 million on him ha terrible piece of business!!! no doubt he's probably down at the local this afternoon completely plastered.......

Robbo!

Agree0 Disagree0

& you would know that would ya?
Sir Ex lax has his own share of flops think long n hard there are many....lets start with the best of them Mr Veron.....from there i will hand this back to you....keep thinking the list is extensive indeed

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love to know who the biggest EPL flop ever was though. Maybe Shevchenko? Probably Veron actually lol

Agree0 Disagree0

So veron was a flop? forgetting his freekicks and awesome passing to the forwards? perhaps our teams were never set up to accomodate his style of play but he scored more goals than carrol has for the scousers and more than torres has for chelsea...you sure you know your flops mr scousergonnabeoutofeuropeagainthisyear?

guys i don't think MOURINHO will succeed after Fergie?

Believable19 Unbelievable8

I reckon its gotta be Pep Guardiola. Same philosphy of football and well respected. By all acounts he can't do much more at Barca and might fancy a new challenge in few years.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is Mourhino, why do you think he stayed on another year, coz SAF didn't go this summer as planned previously.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well.. I really hope your "don?Ǭ¥t think" is right, and the next comments "I reckon" is true.. Guardiola is the only person I would have a good feeling filling Sir Alexs shoes..

Agree0 Disagree0

David moyes will replace alex
THE HEMMINATOR

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope guadiola will become manager, he finishes at the end the season with barca, good pals with fergie too and young! wishfull thinking but who knows, would be the ideal replacement!

who do you think Ferguson will sign during January transfer

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I think he will try and sign Ross Barkley and let him stay on loan at Everton til the end of the season, I think Gibbo will end up going the other way as a sweetener. Because the club will be floated on the Singapore market in January, there will be cash available. I think it's unlikely Dortmund will get knocked out of the group stage of the CL, but if they do I think we will bid for Mario Goetze. We have kept tabs on him for a couple of years now and he is as good as Sneijder, although lacks his experience. His wages will be 75% lower and he is just 19 years old.

If Dortmund are still in the CL by January, then I think we will be in for him in the summer. It's impossible to know exactly what SAF is planning, but I think these two players are high on his list.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

If dortmund exit the CL by jan then can goetze play for some other team in CL?
SHAITAN

Agree0 Disagree0

I think a club is allowed to field one player that has participated in Europe for his previous club as long as the previous club are no longer in the competition.

Ed001 or Ed002 will know the answer to this question.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Correct.}

Agree0 Disagree0

M'Vila, Bartley and Kovacec i think, Bartley and Kovacec will stay on loan at their clubs until summer however.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I cannot see Dortmund exiting the group stages, they are a very good team and when they hit their groove they could go pretty far in the competition. But if by some strange reason they never qualified for the knockout stages, January will be the time to try and buy him. Others will not have the cash, whereas we do have cash. He is almost a carbon copy of Sneijder, but carries more potential. He is young, loves his football and his wage will be no more than £60k a week. His fee would be cheaper than Sneijder's so it's a no brainer for me. I will be shocked if we never tried to sign him. However we would face stiff competition from Bayern & possibly Real Madrid. This is why I would offer Dortmund a price they couldn't turn down and do it in January when Real Madrid are usually quiet.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sydney at one of the supporters do's when asked SAF didn't rate Goetze as a possible for the P/L.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with much of Sydney's post but Goetze is not a 'carbon copy' of Sneijder; they are quite different types of attacking midfielder. Hope we sign him (Goetze) though.
