Hey all,
Glad to see you back Ed02, just a quick question if you or anybody gets a chance to reply, do united retain an interest in gundogan, shaw and will hughes or is it just rubbish talk? {Ed002's Note - It looked like Gundogan would be sold this past summer and there was interest from Rubin Kazan and Manchester City. However, with Goetze going a season before expected, Dortmund were always going to look to keep the player and are looking to negotiate a new deal with him. It had been suggested that Manchester United might try and strike a deal for the player this summer that is not activated until next summer - that always seemed unlikely to me. Enquiries have been made by Chelsea and Real Madrid. Both Barcelona and Arsenal spoke with his agent but made no approach to Dortmund.

Chelsea has been trying for two years to persuade Southampton to sell Shaw to them, with interest also being shown by Spurs. Manchester United would not likely want to pay the sort of fee that will be asked and I suspect will not look for a deal.

Hughes is attracting interest from several clubs including Liverpool, Everton and Fulham. Derby has priced him at a level which will make a transfer very expensive for the buying club.}

Sod buying players. we need a manager who knows what he's doing . Today's performance against City was pitifull and painfully poor. Fellani had no input at all as did young. hopefully Moyes and Woodentop are taking a long hard look in the mirror and ruling the fact, they never spent big. Also midweek Kagawa was the man of the match, not even featured today, instead we had to give two goals away Fellani. fear the worst boys but here's hoping

I would not say kagawa was motm against leverkusen he was quite off the pace in my opinion. He had some nice touches but that was all but he will come good given game time. I expect to see kagawa nani zaha hernandez anderson cleverley all start against liverpool and would also be nice to see januzaj and evans get a game they deserve it.

David moyes out- rock the red you don't have a clue, are you forgetting last season the score read man united 1 man city 6, who was in charge then? moyes will be a great manager he is applying his own ideas and we have had a tough start, we will come good yes we could of done with that star midfielder but we don't need 4 or 5 new players, kagawa does need to start more and play around him, with rooney and rvp upfront,, imo wellbeck is shocking, as is young, valencia is now scared to cross a ball into the box, so some of the players are to blame

Andyreps12.,,,,,, 45 years as a red I feel I have the right to my opinion what's happening to the club, yes I'm upset at our run of recent results and poor performances by certain players. I for one in my OWN PERSONAL OPINION never thought Moyes was the right man for the job, and will continue to think so . However if he brings home a premiership title or even a European cup, I'll be the first fan on here to admit I was wrong,,,, But I'm sure my apologies will not be posted for a years yet. well that's my opinion anyway.

Rock the red- fair one but time will tell, who was your preferred choice to take over from moyes? of course your opinion counts, I just rate boys from his preston days, and time at everton- granted they never won anything but he got them in the top 10 enough times and was hard to beat, woodward is to blame for the lack of transfer activity aswell. we defo need to get rid of some deadwood and look at oter teams getting stronger, we won it last season by 11 points, but 4 or 5 teams have improved drastically now

AndyReps12

I think you will find it was the year before last that Citybeat us 6-1 and went on to win the league on goal difference.

I hope history does not repeat itself although would anyone take second place now in Moyes first season?
Personally NO but this might change!

Thanks for clearing that up col :) point was though city have battered us down the years with fergie in charge, it was always going to be tough who ever replaced him so personally a top 2 or 3 finish while moyes applys his own ideas won't be such a bad thing, trouble is we are used of winning but we have to be realistic every other team who in the top 4 5 have strengthened very well, on paper citys squad is superior to ours, who would you like us to bring in?

I kind of agree with your earlier post about not needing 4 or 5 players.

We definately need the creativity in midfield and the ideal would have been Fabregas but I can't see that happening unfortunately unless Barce don't utilise him properly but again can't see that happening. Modric or Herrera I suppose look possible?

I also would like a young centreback to build for the future - Vidal is mentioned on here but I thought he is more of a defensive midfielder and we have Jones already. I was surprised we were not linked with Shawcross from Stoke but he maybe not good enough for Europe but in the EPL he is a dominant CB like Vidic was/is.

I would also like to seee Januzaj brought through - as he is doing.

Also I don't think Fergies record on the head to heads with the other contenders was that great. We have been more consistent at grinding out results against the so called lesser teams over the years so the next 6-7 games will give us a better indication of where we stand.

January will be interesting this year IMO as it looks like we did bid for Bale so maybe/hopefully that is what took up Mr Woodwood's time. If this is correct then surely something big is going to happen in January. can't wait for the rumours to start after the last awful window!

Colin {Ed044's Note - You are tight that Vidal is certainly not a centre back.}

Yeah can't wait col, should be an interesting transfer window. guess none of us know what really went on, but the bale saga probobaly held up a lot of possible deals, looks like we are going to watch herrara in action, moyes is very cautious rather than splashing out the cash it seems, but that can backfire if another club comes in, alcantara a prime example. modric is my first choice he is awesome and we need a powerhouse cb ferdinand reads the game so well but he's lost his pace now and we never have the same pairing all season. we have enough wingers but what's happened to valencia he seems to be afraid to cross the ball in the box these days
