Chelsea have signed edin hazards younger brother.

MUFC1990

Believable23 Unbelievable4

And why would we need 2 no that on a man utd site?

Agree3 Disagree0

True! Ed how is this a united rumour ? Must be a quiet night ! I hear Everton have sold Cahill for one million but will save 6 million or so in wages and bonus payments next year so presumably this could be used to extend a couple of contracts namely baines who we don't want as he's average ! {Ed004's Note - I wouldn't mind Baines. He is an improvement on Evra and has a very good set piece. He will also give his all to the club}

Agree0 Disagree1

I'll put my neck out here and say that Thogan Hazard will be a better player for Chelsea than his older brother.

A question for the Eds;;;; Why are Chelsea rumours allowed on this page? They should not be published. Who cares what they are doing and who they ate signing. This site should just be for man united fans only.

Ian.C {Ed002's Note - If Manchester United fans wish to post things about other clubs we don't care. How do I kow you are a Manchester United fan? You might be a Lincoln City fan for all I know.}

Chelsea signing hazard siblings is a move that a united fan shudnt bother... RDM aint a fergie to develop good player hvin alot of potential into players showin a flawless level of class and maturity...

Can someone post some news on Moura and RVP updates please edd you know anything? {Ed004's Note - Nothing, unfortunately}

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Many sources claiming this morning that negotiations are still on. From Skysports: Lucas Moura's agent says he has been instructed to keep 'negotiating' with Manchester United by the midfielder, but the Brazil international would also be happy to stay at Sao Paulo.

Agree0 Disagree0

D deal for moura is bak on... i think ribeiro has realised dat he is makin a fool of himself ..and d brazilian club hv no other option but to sell moura...
wit regard to RVP... fERGIE PLAYIN IT SMART by distractin rival clubs... coz we dont need and never needed RVP...
especially wen rooney wud b d lone man playin upfrnt for most of dis season... shinji ..moura or a young playin behind wazza... and the games where we intend playin 2 strikers... chicha is good enuf to play dat role... 1 off season fr chicha dosent make him a bad player.. he is pure class and he has a lot develop...

Agree0 Disagree0

'Terra (brazilian newspaper) in Brazil reckons Sao Paulo are willing to negotiate over Lucas Moura with agent Wagner Ribeiro given the green light to travel to England and talk to United. Ribeiro had indicated the deal was off but Terra feels a transfer can be sealed for 40million, although possibly not until after the Olympics. Lucas is said to be keen on moving to Old Trafford.'

Cut and Paste from MU website.

Not so sure about this happening after the olympics as the article says, because of the extra percentage from 1st August going to Moura but maybe the percentage can be negotiated.

S*y sports saying that the clubs still haven't ruled out a move for Moura to Utd despite comments by the agent - makes sense ie agent playing games to increase his payday

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Where I can't see this

Agree1 Disagree0

The manager will not pay over the odds just like Ed002's Brazil source said and Bob Cass who is close to the manager, but the negotiating isn't finished yet. The club refusing to pay any more is nothing more than negotiating. Yesterday Ribeiro says the deal is over and Moura will stay at Sao Paulo, today he is saying the player (his boss) has instructed him to keep negotiating. So like I said yesterday we needed the player to make a push for a move and it seems he may just be doing that.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

The mind games played by agents nwdays is disgusting.. ribeiro looks as if he is a person who is trying to create a complication as soon as opportunity arrives at his desk...
moura is coming to united.. and fergie wil again prove it to the world dat he aint bothered wit regard to agent tantrums...

The words of President of Benfica just shows that there is very little, if any value in the transfer market. He says that Axel Witsel is worth 40 Million Euros - rediculous. He's worth half of that amount. Hopefully the financial fair play becomes in as soon no top flight player will be worth under £20 million - the transfer system is becoming a bigger joke every day.

RedDevil19

Believable20 Unbelievable7

He's worth 15 million quid at most

Agree4 Disagree0

Really do Ronaldo fu**ed this all up going for that much really Kaka was worth around that much the odd good player was going for 30m but then Ronaldo blew them all out the water not really his fault for getting sold for so much but that deal has increased everyones value by at least 30%

Agree0 Disagree1

Nah hes worth more than 15 id say his value is between 20 - 30 mill hes the real deal top player he plays for a C.L side who only just got him a year ago and if porto are said to be after 30 mil for moutinho then witsel should be around that mark considering hes younger and better imo hes taylor made for a top prem side.

marlow

Agree0 Disagree1

The arrival of Russian and Arab blood money is what has ruined the transfer market not the odd transfer such as Ronaldo. Some of these club owners know that fools and their money are easily parted and the prices rocket.

It's up to the selling club for what they value and want for there own player , we can't afford to compete so stop moaning about prices it's evolution in the late 90s players were cheaper thn then in the twentyif they were more expensive now in the 21st they are more expensive agen , it's no one fault it's evolution just all these billionaire owners have just acelirated the progression of fees

Bayern munich's interest in Martinez has cooled apparently so anyone think a bid might be put in for the guy? If the Moura deal has gone to pot then the money could be made available? Thoughts?

Believable13 Unbelievable9

Would love him at united he's class. He did say he wanted to stay in spain didnt he? neither barca nor real could afford to sign him so I see him staying with bilbao for another year or at least until one of those 2 have the money to buy him. Just my opinion tho :)

Close source from carrington.. Moura deal is still on! His agent isn't getting his way so has decided to chuck his toys out of his pram... The deal suits Sau Paulo and Moura wants to come end... Greedy Agents! They deserve peanuts!

Believable15 Unbelievable12

Im a United fan and ive seen it all before, were linked with top players but thats it, rarely do we sign them especially when there in demand like Lucas and Van Persie. There is anout a 98% chance that we end up with neither of the two.

Agree2 Disagree2

I can believe this post. What kind of nutter would want a part ownership with inter it would be a disaster for the player. His agent just seems to want to rinse Lucas for all he's worth regardless of what is best for his future.

Ok , the old Trafford pr machine has been put on alert for a busy time again , last time it was for the two signings already here.......this time hopefully for a big signing

Newbridge red

Believable11 Unbelievable7

PR MACHINE ?

Agree3 Disagree3

Manchester united have 340 pr/ marketing employees world wide with 36 different agencies....that counts as a pr machine.......! That is only the ones that are paid on some shape by the club. I have been told by one of them that this is happening......words "quietly confident" when asked about New signings ..........just passing it on

Utter tosh. PR teams don't get put on 'alert', they go to work and do their jobs same as everybody else. These sorts of rumours are misleading and made up.

As a previous poster said, United's PR and media teams are a global beast consisting of hundreds of people - they don't get told squat about potential signings.

read somewhere that united had a 15m bid rejected for RVP. can this be true? hope it is and that we make another one. would LOVE to see him in a united shirt, and would work really well with rooney. might limit our spending money a bit, though.
nov00

Believable10 Unbelievable8

Have to say that I'm not 100% on van persie. Sure he scored alot last year but with him being 29 and very injury prone he's a big risk unless he;s on the cheap. Also, he strikes me as a bit of a ''mark viduka type'' - plays well and injury free when it comes to contract signing time. Anyway, what about Welbeck, Little pea and so on - surely they need game time.

Isn't Kagawa going to be playin in the hole behind a striker (probably rooney)

I'm getting confused with the Moura deal it's on then off, can anyone shed some light on this or are these stories false and we do still expect to sign Moura?

Believable11 Unbelievable16

Pls don't,you have to get used to that. to be honest i'm not even bother now days, all the transfer rumours was just to please the fans that they have trying to bring some good players in the club but no value in transfer market.
ferdcoast

Agree19 Disagree2

It's still ongoing. I think two bids were put foward and both rejected as we know, since then a third bid has been talked about but i don't it's actually been submitted which is why his agent has come out and said they're refusing to go higher and thats the end of it.

Either playing the waiting game, or maybe seeing how he gets on in the Olympics although i doubt it's this. No need to rush the deal to be honest, quite clear Lucas wants to move to United as Rafael confirmed, i doubt he'd make that up. Sao Paulo know they have to sell him, they know United are the only serious suitors as Lucas prefers us over anyone else with the money to compete!

Expect it to drag out and don't be fooled by any stories that come out from these crappy newspapers and silly agents, half of it's mind games. Just wait until SAF or Lucas himself mentions something, anyone else and it's likely to be trash talk.

Ozwald

Agree14 Disagree2

Chill. If we do - we do - if not - there will always be someone who wants to play for United - we cant all wet our draws when some carlos-kicka-ball has a greedy bloody agent pulling his strings - then again - maybe they want it under wraps. Wait n see

Agree3 Disagree7

Honestly, don't listen to the agent. They play mind games in order to get the most money they can. Whatever Moura says is probably more important than the agent.

Agree4 Disagree3

As usual the name of Man United in the papers ends any transfer! Last year it was Schneider and Inter kept putting up the price! Now its Moura. The papers keep loving their bit, with endless stories of crap, and the public buys stories and holds onto dreams, but reality has sunk in. Lucas who... will be the response. United put in two bids no more than £28m and Glazers have no more to offer. They are happy if United dont win much as they know Uniteds faithful will raise there £65m costs!

Agree5 Disagree5

We will buy no one, same old story. No value in the market.A load of second rate buys this summer while Fergie Gill and Glazers tell us that all these players are greedy.
Do we want to see the best at OT? If so, then we have to pay for them, you get nothing on the cheap Fergie, so stop bulls***ting us!

Agree15 Disagree8

No name,

Same old story? 'We will buy no one'. We have already bought 2 players and we are in for others as Fergie has said. I knew some muppets would say stuff like that today just because of the Moura thing. You were probably one who said we didn't need Moura anyway, any excuse to moan.

GDS

Agree5 Disagree5

They will just keep rejecting the offers. There comes a point where you have to hold firm and play hardball. If not the fee will just keep going up. Lets hold tight and place a final bid on transfer deadline day and they can take it or leave it. Lucas will need to try and force a move, if Mods can do it anyone can.

Sydney!

Agree4 Disagree3

All this bulls*** about the Glazers is getting tedious...listen to SAF (ok!) He can get the money when needed - simple. If the club showed its hand - they would be fleeced in the market - its bad enough as it is already! - this way - they don't see the boss coming - So stop the moaning - listen - if there were no money he would have told the Glazer's where to go long before now..ok

Agree6 Disagree3

You can't trust the media because they need to sell papers and attract viewers/ listeners.

You can't turst agents because they are only intertested in linig their own pockets.

You can't trust the players because, despite the fact that they have the final say, it seems that today's sports stars are some of the most manipulated people to have ever lived.

You can;t trust the buying club because they want everything hush hush.

You can;t trust the selling club because they want everything as public as possible to push up the price with rival bidders.

So, at the end of the day, as with any transfer, until it is signed, sealed and delviered, consider it all to be a big load of lies.

MDJ

Agree5 Disagree1

I see the agent has come out today and said Moura won't be going anywhere as United are unwilling to increase their offer, which has been rejected. Could this be in response to SAF's comments that there is genuine interest in Moura? I got the feeling SAF said that to put pressure on those who are stopping the deal from happening at the current level of value - whether that be the club, the agent or even our owners...

Looks to me like both sides are now playing hardball. I wouldnt be surpeised if he came to United, stayed in Brazil or even moved to another club altogether...it's that unclear at the moment

Gav

Agree2 Disagree0

It will not last until transfer deadline day... mouras cut goes up on the 1st august so if they want to clear a certain amount themselves then the deal will be tied up before then...

i am hoping he plays at ot on the 29th and passes medical and signs on the 30th....

happy days..

we will see...

Dont start paniking about Moura just because Sky Sports are saying it is off, I will just be his agent trying to get more money hoping someone else will bid late on. As long as the player wants us and we want him he will be our man by the end of summer.

Chelsea had an offer of over £30m turned down so unless you offer in the region of £35 plus you can forget it.

Sky sports is just as unreliable as the papers

MUFC1990

Agree11 Disagree1

I posted this yesterday but it didn't get posted. Proves how unreliable Sky are, even though people seem to think what they say is gospel:

teenage midfielder Paul Pogba has agreed to sign a new contract to stay at Manchester United.

Pogba's future at Old Trafford was uncertain as he was due to be out of contract at the end of the season and had been heavily linked with a move to Juventus.
The 18-year-old's situation was recently described as 'precarious' by his agent and speculation had suggested Pogba was set to leave United.

It is now understood that Pogba has elected to continue his career with the reigning champions and has agreed terms with the club.

GDS

I completely agree, whenever you read/hear '' you know they dont have anything concrete as such but adding 2+2 and occasionally getting 4.

And its all about context, that Ribiero fella seems to be baiting united to bid. The old reverse psychology , 'they have reached their limit, Lucas will stay blah blah' yet sky read this as gospel and run the headline Moura deal off. When was it ever on? Well we shall all see by the end of August. I think it will drag out all summer like Ed002 has said more than once. Nothing in this is black and white.

Sorry for going off on a tangent, my main point is good post GDS Sky sports is not gospel.

Cban

Agree4 Disagree1

Sky gets things wrong jsut as everybody else does, they have to rely on rumours and validate them as well. I think they get more stories correct than most other sites and dont usualyl jump straight on to a rumour liek most. However they are there to serve there own purposes, so like peopl esay dont take anything as gospel until it has been confirmed by the club. I get a strange feeling about this transfer. The agent and Lucas own 20% of the rights. Rumours of a £26m fee agreed and then agent and club deny anything has been finalised. Then Fergy comes out and says Hazard deal was ridiculous looking at wages and fees etc etc. Next day agent says deal is of? Hmmm Being Angela Landsbury has perhaps a £26m fee been agreed with the club for the 80%, but nothing finalised with the agent for his fee as he wants more and Fergy is playing min dgames with his Hazard speech to show authority over the greedy agent, who then coms out to say the deal is off as an act of defiance? May be putting 1+1 and getting 3. But the agent has spoke, both clubs have spoken and it seems either the agent and/or club want more money and we dont really want to pay it. WOuld be interesting to actually know what Lucas feels as all we have is the supposed quotes from Rafael?
Invisible STuey

Agree5 Disagree1

I am sure Ed002 said Chelsea made two bids in January, none have been recent. I didn't realise his agent was Wagner Ribeiro, he is notoriously hard to deal with.

Sydney!

Agree2 Disagree0

You do need to be very careful what you read on Sky. Remember them reporting they'd seen Phil Jones at Melwood - on the day he signed for United? Or stating that United had made a late bid for Charlie Adam - when he was at LFC negotiating terms?

They purposefully muddy the waters on transfers where all the betting money is going one way.

DarkLard08

Agree1 Disagree0

Seems to me both sides of the deal are playing hardball. We have bid what we think to be a fair price by all accounts, the agent is goading us into making a higher offer by saying we have reached our limit.....I guess it's down to whether one side breaks before the other, otherwise Moura may well remain in Brazil until January at least

Its gonna be VERY interestng to see how some of our more 'positive' regulars spin this one. If we fail, but 'tried' again, I cannot wait to see what excuses are made.

RED_SKY

Agree11 Disagree3

RED_SKY

So you would just carry on bidding and bidding and overpay for every player? And what happens when every other club realises you'll overpay and starts getting greedier and asking for even more?

I'm really getting bored of the cynical spin that gets put on things. It's easy to be cynical and to make everything into a conspiracy because it means you don't have to deal with the reality of a situation - and that reality is that if you're spending huge sums of money on something, you need to make sure it's right.

Presumably some of the United fans on here would pay 50 grand for a Ford Focus if it was the car they wanted and the person refused to sell it at a lower price?

DarkLard08

Agree9 Disagree3

I agree yet again we just missed out because we have our principles on what we should pay. its just a shame that our valuation always seems to be lower than what the club is looking for. no other teams seem to have this problem.

Some people might say that it is a lucky coincidence that every summer we go for top name players but just miss out.

shame we didnt have these principles when we were paying 7 mill for someone from the portuguese second division.some people might think to do that there must of been some nice kick backs for certain people.

Bottom line is to compete these days we have to spend more. Only reason we have had success in last few years is Fergie is a genius at getting most out of what he has. If we lose Fergie anytime soon, without investment we will be screwed. continue as we are with Fegie and we still have no chance of competing with the likes of Barca or City. We have to have investment in quality players.

DarkLard08

Nah mate. I wouldn't have bothered to begin with - £40m for an unproven, raw talent from the South American leagues? Very, very risky. Not saying he wouldn't be a hit, but why him, but no funds available for established game-changers?

Are you also of the mindset that Gill/SAF do not play mind games with season ticket-buyers? Do you not in the slightest think it's strange for SAF - a man of silence, at the best of times concrning transfers - has spoke boldly of both RVP and Moura, just at the same time season tickets need renewing and the shares issue?

Seriously? You don't even remotely question what you're told?

RED_SKY

Agree4 Disagree2

RED_SKY

There have been plenty of occasions in the past when Fergie has come out and spoken about transfers or his admiration for certain players when he felt it might help him land the player (Hargreaves being a prime example). There was also an awful lot of speculation in the media, and I'm sure the background noise wasn't helping. I view these things pretty simply because, contrary to popular belief, most things in life are pretty simple, and its the observers who try to make them more complicated to fit their agendas.

I also very much doubt "potential" transfers as opposed to actuals would sway people buying into the share issue.

Anyway, by your own admission, there's no pleasing you... If they spend the money on Moura, it'll be too much, and if they don't, it'll just prove your conspiracy theory right because they weren't willing to spend too much.

DarkLard08

Agree2 Disagree0

RED_SKY

On one hand you don't think we should have gone in for him because he's too expensive for an unproven player but on the other hand you don't think we have the money anyway?

I wouldn't believe all that Sky Sports report anyway! I don't take what they say as gospel

And yes, I'm sure our manager plays mind games but then what do you think Moura's agent is doing by coming out with this quote, saying we have reached our limit? Is that even true? Would SAF/Gill have told him that personally? I doubt it

The one thing I don't get about the 'negative posters' is don't you remember that things were the same pre-Glazer's? Talk of being in for Batistuta, then Ronaldinho - yet neither arrived. We ended up with an unknown but promising youngster called Ronaldo having failed on Ronaldinho...that didn't end up too badly tho'!

The only genuine 'world class' player we have EVER bought in my estimation was Veron. Again, look how that turned out....

Are things really that different under the Glazer's?

RVP will be going to Juve when they submit a bid of 18 mill plus over the next few days. We are not willing to risk that amount on RVP.

We will announce Lewandowski just after this.

Moura will be the high price signing of the summer, announced after the Olympics as suspected. Player is happy but club final price not yet agreed. Probably by end of the month, again no announcement planned.

No Baines or Modric or anyone after that.

Berba going to Zenit or Galatasary, awaiting best offer, player wants Zenit but happy to go either for starting football.

There may be another midfield exit, not rumoured of late but already speculated. A few clubs on stand-by for when Moura completes.
