Just wanted to give say well done to Ryan Giggs for scoring the winning goal on his 900th appearance for your club. Truly is a remarkable achievement and I am genuinely pleased for him.

Future Manchester United manager!

It is amazing. The sharpness and coordination of brain and body required to be in the right place and execute a delicate touch would have been surprising in someone half his age. Well done Giggsy!

I have to say, with each game, David de Gea is getting better and better. It's hardly surprising he's playing this way since he's had a consistant run in the team lately.

Also, whether Liverpool win after getting this equaliser, they are one poor poor side. I can't believe Blair Mayne calls us terrible. My God, we are world class compared to them.

Is that the same world class team that got knocked out the FA Cup by Liverpool then GAGUS ?

I think it's unfair to say they were terrible, Henderson was bloody awful. Suarez and Carroll had poor games, but their defence was pretty solid and Cardiff wanted it more, even with 10 men (gunnarson not being able to move!) at the end they looked like they could cause an upset. Seem's to happen a lot in the cup, Premiership teams have a poor mentality against Championship teams and I think that's a testament to the Champioships growing status. I'm not throwing a jibe at Liverpool as we've done it on a number of occasions.

It did make me laugh though what Comolli came out and said. Yeah, now their in Europe all the big names will want to sign xD

In realtion to my recent post, who would you like to come in up top?

Cavani
Huntelaar
Wolfswinkel
Ba
Higuain

They are just a few class options that we probably have in mind, but most of them aren't realistic.

So what do you want to see happen up top for us, a new signing? If so who? Or stick with Berbatov and give Macheda a chance?

Cavani

Cavani

Agree0 Disagree0

Cavani as well. no chance i would want ba or huntelaar. higuain would be ok but i want cavani

Daniel

Agree0 Disagree0

Cavani or higuain, cant see either been signed though we can daydream, JH

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather see Welbeck and use the money to strengthen other areas of the team, namely CM and LB.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Drogba wants out, then y not get him on loan. He wants to play in the PL. Sell Berbatov & Owen. I did happily take Cavani(bt it aint gonna happen) & I'd wait for Ba to prove himself for another
season.

IBleedBlue {Ed002's Note - Manchester United cannot take DRogba on loan.}

Evra needs to go, he is a liability, even Giggs had to go back and help him against Pilkington (who lets be honest is no Messi).

The question is though, who replaces him?

The names i've heard are:

Schmelzer
Fuchs
Cristico
Alba
Izaguirre
Santon
Boilsen

I don't know who i prefer, but who would you like to see come in? Leave a name!

UnitedForever

Believable6 Unbelievable11

Even giggs had to go back and help him ?
Are you serious thats what your left winger has to do help out the full backs when needed. Every full back in the world gets protection from there wingers, ridiculous comment. Evra is still a top left back to call him a liability is plain stupid. Some top class competition for his place would be good, but the man is still class
SC

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd agree Evra isn't the player he was a couple of seasons ago but he's still better than most left backs out there. I think he'll do the job for a couple more seasons by which time hopefully Tyler Blackett from our youth team will be ready to step in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alba would be good but i think he will go to barca.

Agree0 Disagree0

For me it would be schmelzer or alba, they seem the best of these options, but i wish we would have bought coentrao.

Aly Cissokho?

Fabio?

SC can't have watched many Man United games this season. Evra has made numerous blunders that have gifted goals to the opposition

what's wrong with evra?the guy is a shadow of his past....

Believable25 Unbelievable7

I agree with the buy a new lb but i think we shud keep him, who wudnt want evra as a backup def

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget him. how bad has welbeck been!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I will say it again ! I'd love to see Evra at left wing !

Strider98!

Agree0 Disagree0

Evra is far too slow and he cannot cross, how would he be any good on the LW?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed looks fan of him! everytime i put question against evra and evans as well as carrik for there role in conciding important golas, my post never come up! i hope this time he lets me show my concern. pls people judge all this 3 players( in old matches as well) its like 14 player in opposition. 11 theirs and 3 ours helping them or say not stopping them..or gifting them (sp Carrik with back passes)
rodio17 {Ed007's Note - People's opinions on players aren't here for us to pick and chose what gets posted, everyone is entitled to an opinion.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Welbeck was our best player against Liverpool and ran his a**e off today, hence replacing hernandez rather than him, maybe watch the games rather than just 10 minutes where he missed a few chances before slagging players off.

GDS

Agree0 Disagree0

Evans has been one of our most consistant defenders of late. Welbeck has offered something different and refreshing this year, Fergie said he should have had four, and seems to be challenging the lad to be more composed. Carrick is a slow starter, but respected within the ranks, good pro and an experienced squad player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Welbeck had 4/5 excellent chances and scuffed all of them. A decent striker would have had at least 2 from thoes chances.
Alec

Agree0 Disagree0

Welbeck will improve, but I do think we need a top striker if Rooney is to keep playing in the hole.

This is to ed 2. With the current ongoings at Chelsea and falling out between certain players and the managers it is speculated that Lampard and cole fell out with him but also Essien. Now IMO Essien would be a dream signing though extremely unlikely. I was just wondering will these players be shown the door and was Essien one of them
Thanks
The red Manc {Ed002's Note - You are perhaps reading too much in to the speculative press reporting of a fairly open and frank discussion. It is irrelevant who was involved of course. The issue there has been with Essien has been injuries and whilst there is no intention to sell the player at this time, any acceptable offer would no doubt be considered by the club and the player informed of it. I don't see any chance of a move to Old Trafford.}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

I don't think Essien will be allowed to leave, however i think that Sturridge could be a player that we can get as he is out of contract in 2013, unhappy and may look for a move.

Guys has anyone been watching benatia ? Im pretty sure he is the player who said last week that beeing linked to utd was a dream come true . I havent watched a lot of serie A lately but everytime i do he looks clam and assured and always has the strikers in his pocket, he even made rvp look average . So for 10 mils wouldnt he be a catch ? Better than evans by miles and would love to be here apparently . beeing watched by barca is a plus. he is at udibese btw . hope he is here by the summer
mick
ps: he is quite a decent right back although we already have cover there

Believable8 Unbelievable2

He injured his ankle badly last week - out long term

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes you think he is miles better than Evans?!

Evans has been quality the last few months.

I'd take a player who Utd through and through, came through the academy and is british any day.

Ajp

Agree0 Disagree0

We don t really have cover at rb if smalling is to move to cb next season and jones is to play in midfield.

just a thought with are current finance problems (no value in the transfer market) in my opinion Keiran Richardson would be value , proven premiership player has grown up a lot since he left and knows the club well, again in my opinion would be a better squad player then Young,Park and Nani also can put in a good shift at full back.Just my thoughts .John the big angry fisherman

Believable3 Unbelievable51

Better than Young? Im not sure. Better than Nani? Wtf!

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

There is a reason he is playing for sunderland and isnt nearly as good as young or nani

Agree0 Disagree0

How can Richardson be compared to Nani? Its like comparing a Revault with Ferrari. Its a rediculous comparison, Richardson will never reach Nani's level, nor Youngs.
