Dear mr redfaith,
ha ha ha good one about the mugs. ngiak can't disagree with you on that one! :)
well, once again, there is no need to hunt people down. anyone and everyone is entitled to an opinion over here. and its a rumour/banter website, not a news and the sole truth website. so there.
maybe it was ngiak who got emotional when questioned, ngiak was probably overboard once or twice.
some "good news". ngiak has heard some rumblings of a fair transfer fee bid for a player (?about 15 mil?) and arrangements are being made. and a second player possible who is probably young and a lot of clauses in his contract (ngiak guesses a young player with lots of add ons to his transfer as he gets older?)
thay are just whispers in the dark. . and "educated guesses"
but certainly no big 36 million fee or takeover of the club. . .yet. time will tell.

is the word "young" a clue but not actually about age? possibly a surname. . . don't know any one who goes by that surname though ;).

Widely reported counts for nothing. One newspaper makes up lies and others copy and paste it and suddenly it is "widely reported". A very small fraction of "widely reported" things actually happen and those are the ones which have official quotes, interviews etc. rather than some newspapers saying negotiators being sent etc. etc.

From 17 Jan 2010- The Sunday Express says that while Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson took advantage of the warmth of Doha last week to fine tune his players, there was feverish work going on behind the scenes.

Aware that Qatar, with their bid for the 2022 World Cup in mind, has gone football crazy, feelers were put out by United's owners the Glazers about attracting Middle East investment – or finding a potential buyer.

United's short stay in Qatar provided the Old Trafford money men with the perfect opportunity to attract fiscal interest in the club.

Oil and gas reserves have transformed the country into one of the richest in the world.

It is seeking a higher profile identity and sees sport as the vehicle to help meet that ambition.

Breaking news, Man Utd to sign nobody in January. Let's get real. SAF has already stated some time back that he won't sign anyone in Jan. Although he does not always stick to the plan, we are top of the league and going well in europe. I would be very suprised to see him invest in anyone.

P.s. For the summer, I have watched Italian footie on ESPN and cannot see why there is any fuss about Sanchez. Not Utd class in my humble opinion.

Reports now coming out overnight that Allardyce will take up a coaching position with Qatar Holdings. Representatives of who have gone to see the glazers with an opening bid of 1.5bn but prepared to go up to 2bn. Thay have agreed to meet with them so deal certainly done. Love them or hate them they have doubled the value of the club in a recession in 5years. Anyway our debts would be gone.

Also leaks appearing everywhere saying we have secured both Bale & Rodwell and the Transfers will go through in Summer.We lost out on Bale in Summer by minutes. he was ours but VDV deal held things up so as we all now know p/work not processed in time.Pity. Lets hope this is true and Fergie has got his men.

Also guardian reprting that Lilles Hazard is on Fergies list. But then again according to the Guardian of late so has half of Europe.

As the guy said there is lots of activity round the 27th. .lets hope we start the new year debt free with rodwell and bale bagged. That would do for me.

"Did your electric go off yesterday? Sir Alex has confirmed that this will be VDS's final year although he will offer him a coaching role. Ben Amos is nowhere near ready to be a number two, he's years away from that, he is useless at coming for crosses, he gets nutmegged every time he concedes. He is nowhere near ready to be our number two, not even close, he is far too inexperienced. Kusczczak is off in the summer so a keeper WILL be signed, whether its to be our number two or our number one depends on how well Lindegaard will do between now and May, but i expect Fergie not to mess around after the last fiasco trying to replace Schmeichel so i think he will sign a top keeper.

Lindegaard is a United fan, he played for a club which is on par with Carlisle United in terms of quality, the league in Norway was awful. This is why he signed for United. Umm United or Aalesund? big decision! He joined to be our number two Moon, he didn't know VDS was retiring at the end of the season, as far as he was concerned he was joining United as our number two behind VDS. Milan were never interested its what his agent made-up to hurry United into signing him.

What WONT happen imo and 99.99% of other United fans is Kuszczak will leave, with Ben Amos becoming our number two & VDS being our number three. If United was not going to buy another jeeper then why sell Foster?"

Just because Sir Alex says something doesn't mean it's going to happen, if Edwin turns round and says he wants one more year Sir Alex would jump at the chance to sign him on for one more year, i'm sure of that.

I agree that Amos isn't a very good goalkeeper yet, even his potential doesn't look as bright as it does with youth keepers from other teams in the league, but he may have something to prove to us, lets use Hart as an example, He wasn't very good before he went to Birmingham for a season, or should i say we never saw how good he was, now i'm not for a moment saying that Amos is the next Joe Hart or anything like that, i'm saying players sometimes need the manager to show belief in them for them to be able to perform well, and maybe a promotion to the second keeper is exactly what he needs, i don't know but it's worth thinking about.

i'm quite dissapointed that Kusczczak is leaving, i accept it completely and i understand his reasons for wanting out, but the fact still remains that if he starts catching more than he punches then he'll be a top 6 keeper! I think it'll be the same for him as it is for most keepers when they leave United, Howard, Foster, etc all of whom have become very good keepers within the league, more so with Howard.

Lindegaard may be a United fan but if you said to me that i could move to either Milan or United and be in the first team at Milan or on the bench at United i'd choose Milan everytime even though i support United, you have to look at what is more beneficial to your career and in my opinion i feel that unless Lindegaard is the number one then he's made a mistake and may end up like Cudicini. I may have got this wrong or misread but i few months ago i did read something from the AC president stating they were interested but i can't seem to find it now so i probably read it wrong, my bad, but the fact still remains that other clubs were interested in him and he chose us instead of being a number 1 somewhere else, now why would he do that? that is why i believe he'll be our number 1. We may sign a number two and i won't be shocked if we do, i just don't know who we can get who would want to be our number 2, as i've said in previous posts apparently Alex Smithies is on the cards but Huddersfield to United is a huge leap, although theres no denying he'll be in the England side (probably playing second fiddle to hart).

Why Sell foster? Because he wanted to leave, and you can't really deny a player the chance to leave if he doesn't want to be playing for you, well not any decent club. I think Foster would of been a great keeper if he didn't make about 5 mistakes in two years all of which were big mistakes and probably hit his confidence and hampering his form, although i'm glad he's playing week in, week out and that we'll get a chance to see him play against us on Tuesday.

But, the main point i'm stating is not who will player Number two for united, or about Van Der Sar staying or the promotion of Amos it's simply that i believe Lindegaard is being signed as our number 1 or he's gone and made a huge mistake looking at his potential.
