Wouldn't mind Fabio Quagliarella as a squad player with a bit of flair {Ed007's Note - I think he is out of contract as well}
He isn't he is on loan atm then he goes back to Napoli {Ed002's Note - Napoli want to make the move of Cavani permanent and offer up a player, cash and part ownership of a couple of youngsters. Part of the problem is that the player they wish to offer Palermo is Fabio Quagliarella and his loan deal to Juventus has an option to buy at the end of the loan, albeit he has been out injured.

35 million or nani + 10m but i hope we pay all cash because nani was players player of the year and in my eyes i don't know how he wasnt even nominated its a joke and gareth bale had 2 good matches this season (the 2 inter milan games in the champions league!)

First time poster, my friend works for an American finance company in Madrid, he often plays golf with some if the big wigs and apparently he was playing with 2 Madrid officials who said there is zero chance ronaldo will be at the club next season, they won't sell to another Spanish club and ronaldo himself would only play for utd in the epl, also I have heard the re sell clause in his contract lots of times, my friend has no reason to lie, and was 100% serious, I'm just posting as it's interesting with all the below ronaldo rumours, you heard it here first. .

charlie adam will be bought this summer for 8m+
this is pretty much a done deal.

i am not saying that he will be a first team regular but he does give us something else in midfield, almost to be used as someone who can win us a game a.k.a set piece specialist when we havent been able to do so from normal play.

if the money we have is correct i really wouldn't mind seeing him here, it won't dent our budget at all.

apart from retiring players i can't see us selling many. which again im happy with as i do think we need a fuller squad.

others in

de gea
nasri
modric
varane
benzema

Well I've finally come around to the prospect of Young being a Utd player next year!
Wingers like Nani, Valencia, Park and Young would offer excellent options.
Young and Nani could operate as attacking, creative wingers. Either interchangable or on both flanks with a lone striker and 3 man mid.
Young would be happy to sit on the bench, and would be a great impact player, when not in the first team. Nani and Valencia would still be first choice.
He's British; a proven PL player; reasonable wages; decent record for Villa that would improve dramatically at Utd IMO; and a reasonable fee.
Overall I think he'd be a good signing.
. . or he could be a disaster and I've just had too much coffee today. Either way, at least I'm feeling positive.
I think Sanchez will join if/when Nani goes. I don't think Young is being signed as a replacement for Nani. More like a replacement for Giggs who won't be asked to run up-and-down the flank anymore.

*****MAN UTD TRANSFER NEWS*****

Morning chaps,

Here's an update for you on the De Gea deal with reference to recent specualtion regarding 'will he/won't he' sign.

De Gea has a contract with an agent, just like 99% of footballers these days. His contract with his agent expires at the end of June and and De Gea has already agreed a new deal with a new agent.

His current agent would take a high percentage of the get out clause transfer fee to which will be significantly less with his new agent; financially better for Athlectico and the boy himself.

However, although fee's and personal terms are agreed between Utd, Athlectico and De Gea the associated parties won't complete the transfer until the chacnge of agent has been completed, hence the statement that 'nothing has been agreed and won't be until after the U21 championships.

It's all done and dusted, just some political policies that will be concluded soon after June.

The second piece of news is, as I've posted several times, that Modric is the player Utd want to bring in. The Fee will need to be significantly high as Modric is on a long, newly signed contract, but Levy is a shrewd business man and cash is King.
The Fee is likely to be around the 30/35 million mark which is good money for Spurs and Hgood money for Harry to rejig their squad, although ideally Harry doesn't want to loose him - however, it's not his call.

There's also somethign going on with Nani. I'll post more when I know more.

The Redest Devil.

It's obvious United need a creative midfielder so they will target Modric first and if they can't get him, they will go for Young and play him behind Rooney and Hernandez or on the left with Valencia on the right.

There is not a chance in a million years that young will play behind rooney and young. The formation that we have played for the last 3 months have worked, we just need to add quality into the midfield and that person is modric, Schneider not YOUNG. If young is bought it will be to play out on the left wing on a rotation with park or nani.

Would be amazing to have ronaldo back but i think it has to be gossip. I think we need a left winger, centre mid or maybe 2 and a goalkeeper and we will be well set for next season. De Gea, Young, Modric and MVilla would be good

I heard De Gea is a definate, also looking at Ashley Young as he has expressed his desire at a move. Also apparently Evra and French Coach Laurent Blanc (ex Man u Defender) have been sweet talking Nasri about a career step. I also hear we are hot on the heels of Gregory Van De Weil.
