daily star reporting anzhi to offer 25 mill for vidic

25 million ?, hes worth at least 50mil
vidic would get into any defence in the world

Believable18 Unbelievable12

Vidic is rated within the top 5 CB in the world so yeah.. he would lol..

if we can beat arsenal 8-2then imagine what we could do to small clubs like swansea or fulham or even totenham.

Believable7 Unbelievable26

The team arsenal had out was probably at best a par with Swansea' starting X1, also they have plenty of problems off the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s not get carried away.. Yes today?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s performance was good but it was not perfect and it was not against a full arsenal team. Hell only 4 of that starting line-up would have made a full arsenal team last season.
Hell if you listened to Gary afterwards he states that we would play better and only win 1-0 and that is football.
Let?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s not be disrespectful towards the smaller clubs and we played spurs last week and only got 3 so keep up

Oxford red

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes that was a weakened team mate, but they still had senior players like Szczesny, Koscielny, Van Persie, Walcott, Ramsey, Rosicky, Djourou & Arshavin in the team.

That's EIGHT of their main squad. Even Jenkinson has kind of already made his mark in the team.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think sometimes its harder to beat the lesser teams by a lot of goals, firstly because they usually don't come out and play and have damage limitation on their minds, and also its harder for our players, no matter how professional they try and be, to be up for Swansea at home rather than Arsenal at home. Also against lesser teams you would find Rooney and whoever else was playing well at the time substituted after 60 mins, where as today he was obviously quite keen on getting a big score.

Andy B

Agree0 Disagree0

We have played spurs :/ 3-0 no need to imagine its done and we only take 3 points each game maximum. i watched barca in the week and if you stop messi you stop barca, to stop messi would take a miracle :'(

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats not the way football works mate Liverpool beat arsenal 2-0 so if your going on what your saying we shud beat liverpool 6-2? no two games are the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep no two games are the same,i think Arsenal are in a horrible place at the moment, they seem to b demoralised with all the media hype on arsen wenger letting two off his too playets go and the reputation of him being stingey, not paying the price for a playerit doesnt look good for arsenal at the momentit was too easy for utd yesterdayit could of been 10 or 12-2,and another thing is were still letting sloppy goals in,De gea did well for the pen,it was bad defending, but he shud of stopped there 1st goal, and it was v.sloppy defending for there 2ndpat evra,i love watching him bomb forward but his defending has been crap alot latelty

super red

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely agree mate. No 2 games are the same. In fact complacency is the worst enemy. Other teams perform well too, without necessarily winning 8-2. If we get carried away we might even lose to Liverpool as an example. They do play decent football now. We need to keep focussed. The main thing is 3 points each week, and we are not the only good team. This is the Premier League

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal had alot of problems with 8 of their 1st team injured or suspended, they were demorilised and have their fans and the media against them, only van persie and walcott start regularily for them, they had none of their first team defenders playing, their normal defense is
sagna vermaelen someone else gibbs
they had no one

Agree0 Disagree0

Above comment

im sure szczesny jenkinson djourou koschienly ramsey rosicky van persie walcott arshavin r all first team players

Agree0 Disagree0

We played tottenham last week so we saw what we could do to them

Agree0 Disagree0

We wernt that good - arsenal were that poor - sh**e - dont get too excited they still scored two against us

daily star reporting anzhi to offer 25 mill for vidic

Believable5 Unbelievable14

Utd would never sell vidic and he would never go

Does any1 think SAF might make a 20million plus berbatov offer for luka modric. I personally cant see berbatov getting into the team. It would b a great deal if it happens.

Believable16 Unbelievable14

28 Aug 2011 20:13:38
I've a little doubt. What's Berbatov doing on this team? SAF won't give him a new contract and next season will go free, why we keep him? Reports says the Sir reject an approach from PSG. He's a goal scorer(sometimes), but better get 15mil for him now than nothing next season, unless he becomes key player in Champions League otherwise we're loosing in this situation.
Ed?

UTD4LIFE {Ed007's Note - I expected Berbatov to leave this summer TBH}

Believable15 Unbelievable2

There is an option on the clubs side of his contract to extend for another year at anytime. He wont leave on a free.

Agree0 Disagree0

United have got one year extension clause on his contract. so he wont leave for free

Agree0 Disagree0

In other words, they're trying to sell him this summer while trying to get the best offer, if one doesn't come in i reckon we'll try next year..

Agree0 Disagree0

...yes but next year he will be a year older and wont have a 20-goal season behind him (he will prob only get 10 - 20 games this season and some of those as sub). his value would be much lower next year regardless of contract length. we should have cashed in with PSG

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 20:00:53
Not overlooking the fact Cleverley and Anderson played awesome today, i still think we need a calming figure in the middle of the park, to be able to control matters when things aren't going are way Namely a certain Dutchman.

Believable23 Unbelievable8

Who Djong?? Cause Sneijder will certainly not do that job He's as good as a second striker, we dont need him, would he even get on to the team??? We need a big strong world class center midfielder, to protect our defence and control the game Thats not Sneijders roll

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 19:14:52
If Wenger does go for M'Vila this window, surely Fergie would think about going for him?

Rudderpost

Believable12 Unbelievable13

Forget if wenger goes for him.... I have been singing m'vila praises during the whole window. we should get him now before anyone decides they need him. the same would apply to either goetze or kawagaeven if it meant loaning them back to their clubs to gain another seasons worth of football in europe

calm down people...the combative midfielder in SAFs eyes is jones.. filling at the moment..so later in season..whn tactics change at hour mark we will see him in that roll and, pogba is a heavy duty machine..brought for that only.. the way young lads bringing energy to the game its surely that pogba will also get good chance this year..

I am actually speechless.
But in the light of perfection, we still need Sneijder.

28 Aug 2011 18:41:45
Modric to utd? as a combative midfielder? Correct me if im.wrong but is he not an attacking player. Theres nothing wrong with fletchers performances over the last few seasons as he is a defensive player. And he is almost fit but he wont be walking into this team the way they are playing with confidence and energy. Its fresh to watch after seeing utd last season a few times with the older players the play looked slow.. Fergie seems to be proving everyone wrong again long may it continue.

Believable20 Unbelievable2

Spurs fan here and I hope if Modric goes anywhere in the prem its to Utd. Only team that will really value his qualities other than us

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:31:43
We had a great game today. Anderson is showing is value and I hope he continues. Young is something else, Rooney is far THE MAN of ths SQUAD. We just have to work more the ball possession, but seems we're better than last year. I still think in one more shot for the CM. If we don't get I'm good too.

UTD4LIFE

Believable17 Unbelievable4

28 Aug 2011 18:29:28
After analyzing the match, you shouldn't say that there is no need for another creative midfielder. Still our weakest link and shouldn't be overlooked.

Believable16 Unbelievable3

We dont need a creative midfielder, between Rooney, Young and Nani our attacking options are superb Never mind Hernandez, Welbeck etc We need protection for our defenders, gave them way too much room A Keane type player, world class, to win the ball and protect the defence and but who is a good question??

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:27:28
Who is Wesley Sneijder? Seriously, 8:2, what more does this squad need to do? We have a 100% record including pre-season games

Believable7 Unbelievable16

It needs more control in midfield.
Dont look at the score ffs.
Im sure Alex aint.
its about possesion. they had there chances.
if that had been another team not a fu**ed arsenal team it would of been much more difficult with those chances that were given.
They had too much of the ball.
Although..........
i do think that the more a team can come into the game the more chances u get yourself. Our counter is amazing much like Germany V England last World Cup....Deadly.
To me if you control the game too much you iget teams sitting back proving very hard to break down.
I still would like a more creative midfielder.
Give Rooney a break now an then.

Agree0 Disagree0

We played against a poor arsenal void of vermalen wilshire and gervinho so lets not get carried away but someone in alongside andersson and we'll be a match for anyone bar barcelona

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Im sad, I collect data. United have played 23 games (reserve, pre-season, charity shield and league) and we have scored 83 goals - wow

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't bother saying "who is wesley sneijder" as if he wouldn't make a difference that's just stupid.. lol but i'm glad we showed arsenal who's the don.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont kid yourself - once liverpool and citeh come slong it wont be that easy - arsenal crap

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:24:13
Whatever City do, United do better. 8-2 still the best side in the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:23:32
when ferd and vidic back would you drop jones.
jred

Believable3 Unbelievable21

I think he will be our needed holding mid.
I also think Sniejder should be bought with cleverly replacing him as sub this season.
He had a few chances and options that Wes would of wrapped up no doubt.
Plud he aint a bad tackler.
Tom is not good at all so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

J. Evan is weakest link in the defence. He has no class to play for MANUTD.
When Rafael get back from injury, Smalling must play with Vidic in the center.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would play Jones at LB ahead of Evra.

___________De Gea

Small____Ferd____Vida____Jones

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah nice one sydney, play Jones at LB when he has no left foot and lacks genuine pace, thus reducing the fluidty of out team going forward. Jones is a fantastic centre back and that's what he will always be, never a left back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Syd
im not sure about jones at left back , i like the twins but he could play there , he could play rb on dm as well, but at cb he is a superstar in the making never seen a cb as good as him at his age
JRED

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate you are extremely thick if you think Jones hasn't got a left foot or he's slow. Evra is extremely slow and at fault for 50% of the goals we concede.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats stupid syd,
why play jones ahead of evra not left footed
Play him as a combative MIDFIELDER

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a differance between having left foot to play a ball five yards and being able to defend on your left foot and being able to play the ball with your left foot in a constructive attacking move. Phil Jones is a great defender but first choice left back for manchester united he will never be. You may have a small knowledge of whats going on old trafford but tactically you are obviously very naive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jones has played LB for Blackburn before, I am not saying play him there for ever, just until Evra pulls his finger out. Evra offers literally nothing going forward, I would rather Evra stayed in his position and defended rather than go forward, lose the ball, then stroll back. Why do you think he loves Park so much? Because Park does his job for him. Now Young is doing his job for him. If Jones just stayed in the LB position and defended, we wouldn't need Young to get back and help, the only reason Young comes back to defend so much is because Evra cannot defend.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

One minute your saying Evra offers nothing going forward and the next your saying you'd rather he'd just stay back and defend, so which is it? I know he had an awful season by his standard last year but you don't become a bad player that easy, and i think he's got a lot to offer this season and his experiance will be vital, do you think Sir Alex is a fool and he'd give just anyone the captains armband?

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly you shouldn't be making such a fuss of Evra, he does more good for us than he does bad.. and with an attack that can produce 8 goals.. who gives a flying f**k what our defence may lack..

Agree0 Disagree0

Smalling jones vidic evra

thats our best back 4 i think

Agree0 Disagree0

Our best back 4 may not include Rio anymore. he is still great, but getting older and more injury-prone. i would cash in on Rio at end of this season before it;s too late. we will have vidic, smalling & jones performing like heros for years to come

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't believe evra is being criticize so much . He is the best lb here, plays for france. He is good going forward , may not often provide final assist (though wwon penalty sunday)but he links well with wingers ( nani, young) when attacking. He is obviously told to roam forward thtd why sometimes gets caught out of position, and needs covering . Fabio may be after two years but he should be ist choice lb for now imo

28 Aug 2011 18:06:30
after seeing todays performance imo we dont need sneijder. rooney can score the freekicks as we have witnessed, we can make the through passes and we can score goals. my only concern is how much possesion we let them have and i believe we need a combat midfielder and modric fits the bill. Get him and we will be perfect.

TRUMORS

Believable7 Unbelievable20

Good performance but we still need a midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

Modric is probably way too much and is more destined for Chelsea if anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant make that assesment playing against that arsenal team
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

Modric would be the icing on the cake mate. We would be untouchable.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets get this straight lads that team was rubbish and we won't get easy games like that again. I still think we need a modric type player cause we are a bit light if Anderson gets injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Too true, modric would be perfect for what we need - controlling midfield and releasing the likes of rooney, young and hernandez. Though I suspect deep down that we will not sign any1. I still believe we can compete at home and in Europe as we are, but cant see us winning on both fronts without that elusive CM

Agree0 Disagree0

I've always said we need Modric more than Sneijder, as much as i think Sneijder is a great player i just think Modric is more suited to what we need in positional sense.

Andy B

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont get why i get loads more disagrees than agrees and the replies are all agreeing with me lol

TRUMORS

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that's what happens when City fans and scousers read our site They've obviously got nothing better to do

Andy B

Agree0 Disagree0

We had 56% of possession or is that not enough for you? The point is it's not how long you have the ball, it's what you do with it. If you have 20% possession and one shot all game, but win 1-0, you've got the three points, not anyone else. It's the final score that counts and that was a very good one

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:04:03
8-2. Great match for us. Maybe there are some little nitpick issues that SAF will probably address but nothing harsh. Next stop is Bolton.

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Dont get carried away - arsenal are not like the old arsenal - big problems there

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:02:28
Rooney was phenominal today. Luis who?

Matthew...

Believable23 Unbelievable7

The only player I know named Luis is Luis Nani. Who you talking about?

Agree0 Disagree0

I was referring to Mr Suarez who's apparently the best player in the league.

Matthew...

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez is good but Rooney is better. Shame for Liverpool but great for us........

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney is phenomenal, but let's not be arrogant. Suarez is a mastermind and unfortunately for us far more diverse. We would be stupid to undermine the skills of Suarez. "The worst threat is to forget about the strength of the enemy" one once said...

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez is the name - you will find out in a couple of weeks time

Agree0 Disagree0

Would not swap suarez for rooney and tevez together

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 17:37:48
We're very clinic in front of the goal today. But we still struggling to control the ball properly. Arsenal is weak right now but they still have almost the same ball possession as we have. I think we still need someone that can control the tempo and secure the ball when we need to. But apart of all this, amazing game for this amazing kids. Young is truly a Class. I love see WAZZA playing.

UTD4LIFE

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Young and Rooney are so good together, i just hope Capelo starts them both from now on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are u stupid ... we destroyed there midfield Rosicky and Ramsey WHO

JOE

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant performance, brilliant result. Just hope our defence gets fit soon and we dont have to play Johnny Evans too often. He's a good guy but will cost us games against top teams on top form. That aside, what a start to the season Come on the Reds

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the 1st replier, capello would be mad not to start with both Rooney and Young for England

Agree0 Disagree0

We ended with 56% possession and possession isn't the most important thing anyway, it's what you do with it. Yes if you have the ball, the other team can't score (although Neville for England springs to mind) but making the possession you do have count is better than having all the possession, ask Arsene Wenger

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 17:34:07

Believable20 Unbelievable5

28 Aug 2011 17:21:45
This is why we NEED a world class midfielder someone who can control a game we r playing the worse arsenal side ever Yet they are having a lot of the ball and could have scored 4 goals themselves. Nani needs to go still f***ing greedy watch how unselfish the rest of the team is yet he wants 95 touches everytime cant wait til toni is fit and back on the right. NANI f*** off

Believable20 Unbelievable26

There's no way you're a manchester united supporter, its not possible that a United fan could watch something so positive and yet be so negative.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with you about Nani. He does some (occasional) great things but frustrates a lot more with too many touches and being selfish. Put Valencia in his place with Young on the left and we would be an unstoppable force i reckon.
still need a defensive midfielder, Anderson and Cleverly look fine going forward but are completely useless when we dont have the ball. No cover at all for the defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agreed with u.. Nani is a good player.. but sometimes.. eemm.. manytimes he made mistakes cos the game result.. better if antonio n young.. or park also better than him..

Agree0 Disagree0

Hideous comments Nani is class, we have played 3 - won 3 battering 2 of the top 6 teams in the league (Spurs & Arsenal) be interested to know if the people on here being so negative actually go to watch United home & away? or watch the games on tele?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 16:54:49
What the hell was Evra doing, what a time to scuff a clearance. Evra still our weakest link sadly. Poor Young back doing his job all half, what we really want is Young and Hernandez waiting up top to break away. This has to be Evra's last season. 3.1 and could have been 6.2, I expect a load of goals in the second half. It's almost too easy at times.

Sydney!

Believable10 Unbelievable3

I am really concerned about Evra now. I'd like to know why no ones pulling him up about his recent form. Not only was the clearance bad but his positioning after it was horrible. If Izaguirre hadn't injured himself, he could have been a United player by now IMO.

Matthew... {Ed007's Note - Izaguirre has signed a new improved contract at CFC Matthew, I'm not saying he won't leave in future of course, just hope we get a decent fee for him. I said all along I think he would have stayed at least another year then take over from Evra.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Bond, Matt & Sydney, he's becoming a liability, no one in the defence has the authority to give him one, hoping he cops one from Rooney.

Agree0 Disagree0

Evra has been poor defensively since the start of last year. Would have been good to have replaced him in the Summer IMO. He gets away with it usually because of our class at CB but with J Evans playing there for the next few weeks/months i can see us leaking a few goals unfortunately...cant wait to get Vidic/Rio/Rafael back, will sure up the defence without comprimising Jones and Smallings oppurtunities through rotation. Rafael Jones Vidic Evra would work just fine i think, with Jones and Vidic covering any of Evra's mistakes

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree with u syd evra seems to be becombing lazy. at times his postioning is dyer. think he would have been a better winger than full back becausse i cant fault him going forward he is quick his link up play is good and his final ball isnt bad. would like to hear your thoughts on evra being better winger than full back.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 16:51:17
evra is the senior defender..... what is he doing.... crap header and then a half arsed effort to put the block in..... that goal is all down to him..... next goal could determine if this is a close game or a hammering.......

oxford red

Believable15 Unbelievable3

You know it. Evra has been on thin ice for a while now, and without senior defenders to mop up, his defensive lapses and sheer arrogance will be exposed. He needs a serious kick up the arse once the transfer window closes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell him next summer if he doesn't pick up, he's captain for the day and the experienced one in the defence. been getting worse for 2 years if he can't buck up he should ship out.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't believe some people can be so negative about our players, yes Evra was poor last season but i think a lot of that was down to the world cup with France as he got slated in his own country. But lets try and get behind him the United way and not slag him off everytime he makes an error.

Andy B

Agree0 Disagree0

Next summer......sell Evra, Evans, Rio (to cash in whilst we can, injured too often too).....buy Baines and a good young CB to bolster the squad

Always looking to the future

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 16:33:27
De Gea, Young and Welbeck will be the stars this season. J Evans is classless to play for ManUTD.

Utd4life

Believable7 Unbelievable11

I totally agree Evans is a weakness if he plays. Evra is poor defensively too but I think with 2 class centre backs back at the helm we will cover most of his errors. At least Evra is dangerous going forward.

Evans should be back up at best this season, then sold next year. I would be happy to cash in on Rio next year too (still class but getting older and injured quite often) and bring another young class centre back into the squad alongside Vidic, Smalling and Jones - who will all have a further year of experience under their belt

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry but Evan's is a great defender, I swear you Manc fans are all the same, if it's not a world class player you don't want anything to do with him Evra is world class aswell, he makes one error and your all on his back, i'm a liverpool fan and even i'll admit watching yesterday your team's near perfect. But you certainly don't want to get rid of Evan's and Evra because there top defenders

Don't get me wrong guys are midfield is good/great but we NEED Wesley Sneijder , he will push us that little bit extra. Citeh look very good and will push us

Believable22 Unbelievable5

Citeh were good spurs were dreadful and made them look very good im not worried yet its a marathon not a sprint spurs will get better with diarra parker adebayor etc

Agree0 Disagree0

IF u watched the game against arsenal we need a CM who can control the game not just while attacking but also defending so its someone like Modric we need rather than WS.

Premier League are more than 15 games. What if Ando or Cleverly gets injured? Carrick, Fletcher or Pogba? Against Barcelona or Madrid? I don't think so. I'm realistic. We definetly need a CAM OR a DM.

Believable23 Unbelievable4

You are right. Either DM or AM would suffice.

A class DM would allow the likes of Ando, Cleverly, Giggs and Park to push on and create/score more goals

A world-class AM would allow either Fletcher or Ando or Jones at a push to just sit in midfiled, break up opposition attacks and play simple passes to our more creative players

Either would make us into a right tasty team

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 14:54:15
Looks like City will fight for the Crown this year. I'm man enough to assume that they have the most complete squad on the Premier League, if they start playing as a team, we have alot to worry.

But, as you guys say in SAF we trust. I hope He knows what's doing.

Believable17 Unbelievable5

They will compete yes but we have shown that we are capable of beating them and i believe number 20 is on its way

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel the same with city strengthenin there team so much as scoring so many goals. they defo wil conmpete for the title. come on fergie we need sneijder to shut them up

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats what happens when u go after players u get them ref Nasri and Aguero and silva last year this cloak and dagger s**t gets u nowhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i was deeply scared of man city's performance against spurs, they now actually play with confidence combine that with the likes of tevez, aguero, dzeko, nasri, silva.. (this list is outrageous)

You got to think, they may not to well against us but against every other team in the league they're going to be seriously strong.. I really do think we need more quality and depth as there is going to be heavy competetion both domestically and on a european stage (hopefully we could find that in ONE signing.. Wes, where the f**k are you?)

despite our strength in depth on the flanks and obvious quality, i would still love to see gareth bale at united
he has all the charateristics required to slot into the squad; an incredible runner with and without the ball, strength, aerial threat, an eye for a pass and perhaps most importantly in my opinion, hes willing to work for the team by running up and down the touchline all day
i know this probably wont happen, definetley not this window, but he could be a legend at united or any other team if he continues and fulfills his potential

Mitch

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Drastically overated, I would be happy if we signed him, but only if it was for the £20 million he is worth.

UNITED_LEGENDS

Agree0 Disagree0

He is vastly overrated IMO, he is not a very good winger but I do think he would make a decent left-back if he could be bought for around £18m-£20m.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bale is the MOST overrated player in the premiership

he had a few ood games last season and everyone wants him to replace giggs

the only thing he has is speed
every goal he's scored has been nothing special.

crossing is very poor
quite frankly id rather play giggs till 40 than pay 30mil + on an overrated player, way i see it tottenham can keep him

other clubs may want him but that will be there loss of money

Agree0 Disagree0

How the hell he got player of the season for 2 inter games is beyond me overrated and under performing keep well clear

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha i love how everyone just copies what the last person comments with..

Bale is not massively overrated because he isn't really rated THAT highly, i mean yes there was a lot media surrounding him when he WOW'D at the san siro but that was a really strong game for him..
I think he's a good consistent, strong, speedy player, has potential for sure I think he'd be a good addition to united to replace giggs as a LEFT footed winger I'm sure all you guys have noticed but all our wingers (young, nani , valencia and park) are right footed apart from giggsy but he'll be retiring at the end of this season no doubt :'( yep, another legend..

Agree0 Disagree0

Every goal he's scored has been nothing special?? What about the volley into the top bag last season? think it may have been stoke? If wazza had done that you'd be all over it, credit where its due.

"Lots of peeps still hoping for Sneijder to come, both Fergie and Gill says no more signings so stop torturing yourselfs, if it happens then its a bonus but we have all been told "NO MORE SIGNINGS" so chillax.... HERBIE"

I have just watched the full version of the SAF press conference on MUTV and when he was asked if we can expect anymore faces in by Wednesday he replied something like:

"There is still a way to go"

Then he changed the subject pretty sharply. I ask fellow United fans to check out the interview. It's the very last question. Put it this way, he never said there will be no more signings. Usually he cannot wait to tell people that.

Sydney!

Believable18 Unbelievable3

Caan you give me a link to the interview

Turn to MUTV around 2:15pm and watch carefully.

Anyone else think Arteta would be a good signing for us quite cheap and can play that killer pass

Believable9 Unbelievable27

He is a good player, and he would help our lack of experience in the midfield. but i dont believe SAF would take Moyes' best player while everton are in this crisis. i expect replies to this sayin "why wouldnt he?" because they're good friends and no that doesnt stop the fact he could get them some money but as for the price of him, we could get away with anywhere between 7-10mil as he is getting old, more injury prone and would only get 1 maybe 2 seasons out of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

4/5 years ago he would have been a great player for us, but he's too injury prone now.

As for not leaving Moyes in the lurch, if it was to happen we could always offload Gibson to them. Or is that a bit like kicking them when they're down..LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

He would cost much more than £7m-£10m, Everton will want a ridiculous price for him even though he is old and he isn't even that good.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Syd, yes they would want more but even if he did want to leave the only team i can see paying more than 10m for him is City if they were delirious enough to buy him or maybe Malaga or PSG

So dear old Wesley Sneidjer has been left out of a friendly, injured again, so he is deinitely signing for us, yawn, yawn, yawn. It seems that Inter are looking to offload him, even offerred to Citeh if we believe everything we read, so why would they risk getting him injured in a friendly. No doubt we were interested but the combined package of fee and wages etc was more than we were prepared to pay, even after negotiations, so that was that.

Don't forget when we signed Berba the delay was down to Spurs not wanting to sell, completely different to Inter and Sneidjer.

To the guy who is buying a shirt with Sneidjer on, I guess it will look good next to the ones with Nasri, Ganso and Goetze you already have. To the guy who questions why Sneidjer was watching his brother and not getting treatment, even if he was injured he wouldn't be treated 24/7. I have seen Hargreaves out and about in the last two years, does this mean he wasn't really injured

Believable7 Unbelievable7

Sneijder isn't really injured you plum,

He was watching his bro play football and when asked why not playing in the friendly declined to comment.

Inter are looking to sell him so dont want him injured in a freindly.

All is in place for us to buy him and he wants Utd. Lets hope SAF delivers.

If not we support the squad we have so its all good.

Wednesday is going to be a busy day.

Agree0 Disagree0

You obviously missed my cynicism about the whole thing, of course he isn't injured and Inter want to insure he doesn't get injured so they can sell him if possible. As for supporting the current squad, that is something I have done for over 45 years, including relegation in the 70s, a long long time before Fergie gave us this wonderful time, so yeah I think I will be able to support the squad no matter what.

Anyone know if this Van Der Kraan is respectable/reliable as he seems to be closer to sneijder and reckons he will join, as he mentioned on talksport early august.

would like an update from him

Believable10 Unbelievable5

He could be reliable, but he is not in charge of the decision making. So, that; as far as it goes. Only Fergie, Morrati and Sneider will decide and agree on a deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think you'll get any update from him or anyone else... Sneijder claims he is happy at Inter and he's looking forward to the Serie A kicking off again.

SAF I think has lost interest in Sneijder. SAF seems pretty keen on the Anderson/Cleverley partnership in our midfield.

That partnership is good enough for the premier league in my eyes but if United want to beat Barcelona when it comes to champions league finals... we do need a world class midfielder with experience like Wesley Sneijder.

Maybe an official bid will be put in by Man United on deadline day, whether we sign him or not though is the question.
