came across this site to see rumours, etc, got to let you that we have indeed carried out medical procedures on Young, Thomas and De Gea (nice guy) To advise we have no further medicals booked from United (need 2 weeks notice) and there are no bookings pending. So looks like no more signings this summer - sorry. {Ed012's Note - You don't need two weeks notice if you are prepared to pay enough, it's how the world works regrettably! However, if you are correct, are you suggesting clubs book medicals on transfer deadline day just in case they need one?}

Believable0 Unbelievable9

Ed's right, medicals can and are arranged at short notice. Doctors, clinics and Labs work 24hrs and with fast turn around times for a fee. The clubs don't use the NHS.... {Ed007's Note - I do not even want to know how anyone knows that!! Just don't tell Moneypenny about it}

anyone believe this is true? Wesley Sneijder at OT on 200K a week. Would love to see him at OT.

Believable8 Unbelievable10

I don't believe that, nasri would be the far better option in my opinion, proven in tin premier league and we would not have to pay as much in wages and a transfer fee, if there is any chance of it we should go 4 him

Sky Sports journalist just said Barcelona have made a final offer of ?Ç£27m plus ?Ç£13m in add ons for Axis Sanchez. So I'm guessing that's that for us regarding him. Keep seeing us linked with Hazard, can anyone tell me if he is any good? If we do get him I still believe we need one more for experience after losing the oldest this season.

player who are looking to be sale
*brown
*oshea
*gibson
*evans
*obertan
*macheda
*diouf
*berbatov
*kuszczak
*hargreaves
TOTAL CAN MAKE ALMOST ?Ç£45M.

and some who are going out on loan.
*ryan tunnicliffe
*oliver gill
*tom cleverley
*robert brady
*joshua king
*danny welbeck 50/50

player who are going to get chance in first team this year

*paul pogba
*ravel morrison

Believable9 Unbelievable12

Cleverley & Welbeck are miles ahead of Pogba & Morrison in progression.

Sydney!

SAF wouldnt sell macheda or evans, they would probably go out on loan, plus hargreaves is already a free agent. nasri will not come to us.

I have posted about hazard on here two weeks ago and I still belive that's who we will sign We will not sign nasri as arsenal won't allow him to leave to another premirship side Sanchez will be with barca so Mata will be with arsenal
Along as we sign hazard that will do for me Great potential to be world class star

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Jesus Christ How many wingers do we need? Hazard has never played nor will he ever be able to play in a central position or in midfield. What would be the point of signing him ahead of Nasri, or at all?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2011 20:02:10
The more I hear about the Hazard situation, the more it makes me think we might just pick him up this Summer. If reports are correct and PSG have indeed made an enquiry, added to reports that SAF has a keen eye on Hazard, this could potentially be great news in terms of forcing SAF to make his play now. Similar situation to Jones, Rooney, etc.

Interesting... Lets hope PSG make a firm offer in my opinion.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Love to see hazard at united is a real talent for the future but the biggest thing is his whole family are close to his current club... The other thing united should be favourite to get him as so many other clubs are looking at huge signings this is one united could do quietly :)

i along with the majority of united fans feel that we need to be looking at 2 cm's. one attacking (mata) and one natural deep laying playmaker such as modric/martinez. i feel now de gea has been wrapped up it gtives united more of a chance when attracting young spanish players such as martinez and mata, however we know ferguson likes to buy british talent or players atleast proven in the premiership. I think nasri sneijder and modric will not happen. and it is more likely to be hazard martinez or a kaka loan.

Believable8 Unbelievable8

You said fergie likes british or proven players then say we could sign 3 players from abroad?

So, my uncle, a policeman in London, is friends with a security guard at Wimbledon who claims that during the winter he works at Spurs and is therefore "in the know."

Anyway, we have now signed three of the four signings needed this year. We have great cover for either wing, a new capable defender to replace Brown who will be leaving and finally a world class gk.

Now all we need is a great CM. I personally don't want a typical CAM who would play too close to Rooney. eg, Sneijder (although I wouldn't unhappy if we got him). I want a player who can sit deeper and pick out the ball that will put a player into space behind the defense. Ideally this would be Schweinsteiger but this wont happen and so I think Vidal would be great to play alongside Anderson in CM. He is young and relatively cheap and we could turn him into an excellent player.

Believable4 Unbelievable8

So what's the relevance of your uncle and the security guard at Wimbledon?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate, I think it was taking the p**s out of people who put that to make it sound better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Finally a worldclass keeper ???? van der sar not then ??

Agree0 Disagree0

It was finally as the last one of the three there. Not saying it as though we have been waiting long time for one.

Why Anderson? Is Everyone Forgettin About Fletcher?
Hes So Underated But A Class Player, Id Have Him In The CM With Someone Who Is Proven Attacking Wise.

Any news on Steven Defour? A lot of speculation during the season and last summer but seems to have died down. This is a player that I would see SAF going for more so than the players who are going to cost ?Ç£30m plus. He likes to rotate his midfield and buying someone for an extraordinary amount often dictates that he must start. A talented young midfielder like Defour, mature and experienced for his age; captaining his club to multiply trophies seems like more of a SAF signing. Thoughts?

Believable14 Unbelievable3

I agree, Defour would certainly fit the criteria, also consider with the predicted departure of Gibson (treated poorly by many so called U fans) frees up more space for a spot for the young French Kid Pogba. United we stand, divided we fall.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he's the one. Under the radar and good price and we all know the gaffer likes him. He would finish our signings off for me.

I think it's clear to see that we need a CM to replace Scholes and I'm sure Fergie knows he he wants and has an idea who he can get. However I feel we maybe a bit light in the full back dept if Brown and O'Shea depart. Ed do you know if there are any targets for these areas in the pipeline other than Iziguirre?

{Ed019's Note - I haven't noticed any other possible targets other than Izaguirre but I think Fergie will be relatively happy with what he has already, Brown didn't really play any part last season so that won't be too important I don't think. I for one would like to see O'Shea stay on as while he's never been an outstanding player he has been an outstanding servant to the club and provides defensive cover in every position. Especially considering the 25-man squad a player like that is very valuable.}

man utd have bid 15 million for brazilian douglas costa, seen in old trafford last season and is known to be great friends with the de silva twins.

Believable13 Unbelievable8

Thats actually a good shout...qaulity player...i think fergie will go for an unknown youngster...he probably got a gem up his sleeve...fingers crossed he buys someone with alot of flair..

{Ed019's Note - He wasn't actually seen at Old Trafford it was a case of mistaken identity. Some journalists mistook one of the 5 young Brazilians we have an option on (Gladstony) for Costa.}

man utd only have to agree personal terms for wesley sneijder.Hes medical will happen next week, when he arrives back from L.A.

Believable14 Unbelievable14

No he won't be having a medical at United. SAF wants him but can't afford to pay the ?Ǭ£150,000 a week wage demand that Sneijder wants. This is why the deal fell through before, otherwise... I dare say Sneijder would've been a done deal along with Jones, Young and now De Gea.

Everyone should just relax about the transfers that are being rumoured. Yesterday the MIRROR stated that united were on the verge of 20 million signing of nasri- today on the same paper it states that nasri is about to move to Barcelona. Such BS. United will get either nasri, , , , modric, , , , Martinez, , , , or thiago and that should be it
Pastore(labelled 40-50 million), Sanchez(labelled 44million) dese r MAYBe worth 20 million bt I tink this Market is crazy day dese unproved players r worth more than proper quality players like nasri, nani, and chicarito,

Fergie Knows Best
Wait and see

Believable14 Unbelievable5

Aaaghhh... what does "dese" mean? Last time I checked this was a ".co.uk" domain?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2011 17:26:30
Well, I said this week would be De Gea and it did just faster than I thought. So now, the biggest deal is CM. You will hear Sneijder, Nasri, Modric, Diarra, or whoever to show up in the articles. Someone said that SAF might get an unmentioned name, possibility but right now SAF has a good opportunity right now to find an experienced player who we all know can dictate a match against big clubs. If it doesn't go as planned I'm sure SAF has someone under his sleeve.

Bojan djordic just signed for blackpool, Do we get anything as a selling on fee since he used to play 4 us? We should at least get about 20 quid

It is actually an interesting message.

Djordic was seen as one of Europe's leading young players and starred in a tournament possibly even something like the U17 World cup. Commentators and those in the "know" said he had great potential and could be a world beater.
It shows how young players dont necessarily develop into the finished superstar.
I would not take the mickey he tried and just was not good enough.

Palermo have said that they have had a 50 mill euro offer for Pastore and that there is now only 10% chance of him stopping at the club any idea who made the bid ed

{Ed019's Note - I would say everything that Palermo say must be taken with a pinch of salt. Earlier in the transfer window their president said that a 40 million euro bid from Chelsea had been rejected only to come out last week and say they had received no bids for him. If it was anyone I would think possibly Chelsea but considering they were rumoured to have bid £40 million for Neymar yesterday I would think at least of those stories is false.}

My reaction- WTF
Ed, your reaction- ?

Rudi {Ed007's Note - I have said for a while that I have been told Nani would be leaving this summer, it looked like Italy at first but anything is possible}

Believable14 Unbelievable5

If this rumour does hold some ground..then i expect madrid to jump in as well.Nani has stated his desire to work with mourinho..but if barca do bid my guess is he will forget about fighting for his place at UTD and readily change clubs.
If a deal has been made or might be made..will it give united better chances of signing thiago though he has signed a new contract?

Keep throwing the usual names about (Nasri, Modric, Sneijder and Sanchez) as much as you all want, and tie a semi-believable story to it to make people believe your rumour. However, I guaranteee you all that neither will be signed Fergie will bring a CM in for under 20m, and will be a name that hasn't, or rarely has, been mentioned.

In Fergie we trust

The Red Devil

Believable20 Unbelievable7

I dunno..but i sense that all the nasri..sneijder and modric stuffs is jst diversion for someone better fitting the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to agree with you here matey. I think fergie will sign someone that no one has mentioned yet too

Agree0 Disagree0

The original post is true. Utd are actually after Sochaux's Marvin Martin, but face competition form Wolves who are now front-runners in the race to sign him after Steven Mouyonkolo joined Sochaux on a season long loan with an option to buy at the end of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

I still believe Fergie would love to have Modric. He geuinely would provide a missing link in the United Midfield. Unfortunately, that transfer looks less and less likely by the day. As for the others, I struggle to see any great logic in signing them. as iv'e stated here before and others have also agreed, Scholes long-term succesor will be Wayne Rooney.

29 Jun 2011 13:23:22
At the moment I'm very satisfied with how the transfer window has gone for United. With Young, Jones and now De Gea all completed our squad as a whole is now stronger than it was last season. Hopefully 1 or 2 more quality players will come in and if that happens we will be in a position to challenge on all fronts in the coming season. I'm personally putting on a bet that we will win the Carling Cup next year with how good both our fringe players and youngsters look. A few are likely to leave Kuszczak, Gibson, Brown and even Berbatov. Out of these four only Berbatov needs replacing if he leaves. Izaguirre is apparantly being lined up and we obviously need a CM. Whether it be Nasri, Modric, Sneijder, Thiago or someone we have never heard of I don't really care as long as the are top class because that is what we need.

Rjmanutd

Believable8 Unbelievable4

I aapreciate your point, however don't agree that we have a stronger squad. Remember we have lost Scholes and VDS I will agree with our squad being stronger if we sign a top class CM - Nasri (can't see happening), Modric (same as Nasri, but bit more chance) and Sneijder (least chance of getting). So, that leaves me thinking that the CM that will sign will be a name that hasn't been branded about, in other words another classic Fergie move watch this space... The Red Devil

The berbatov part exchange for mata deal is gathering momentum online... Any truth in it ed?

He would be a sensational buy (especially because arsenal want him ;)

My 2 fav signings would be Mata and Sanchez, who i don't think we should rule out as barca chase Fabregas....

Mata solves CAM issue, Sanchez gives us a faster and trickier false 9 option than Rooney (who could go to "left forward" who cuts inside)

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Id certainly hope at the very least there is a central midfielder signed. Nani and Berbatov out = Me one happy fan

Believable11 Unbelievable14

Nani is likely to stay at least one more season to see how he will fit and if it doesn't work will sell. As for Berbatov, SAF is busy signing new players so I'm sure the drama will happen a few more weeks.

ii really think they should forget about signing nasri for 20 million and go for thiago for 15 million and javi martinez for 15 million aswell.. these 2 should both play permanent cdm and cam players and in a year or so they will be the next xavi and iniesta(spelling)

Believable13 Unbelievable8

There is not a hope Javi Martinez will be brought for anywhere near ?Ǭ£15m. At least ?Ǭ£24m will have to be offered. Furthermore we have plenty of midfielders and thus a single midfielder - Nasri - is the best option. Thiago doesn't have the experience yet, we need top top players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Javi martinez would cost much more than 15million. He's under contract for a few years, athletico bilbao dont want him to leave and he's a rising talent. He would cost more near the 25mil mark

TRUMORS

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez would cost double or even treble that amount for 15 mill every club in europe would bid for him.

Red Knight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i would but them both but the only problem is experience so there for i would also buy and experieced CAM like nasri

Agree0 Disagree0

Hernandez had far less experience than Thiago. Personally if there is a chance of getting Thiago WITHOUT a buy back clause I think he will be worth every penny, a top top talent in the making.
Of course there is the issue of how long will he stay? But there is that with many foreign signings

Were nowhere near barca at the moment and then we sign

Jones and young

They sign
sanchez and fabregas
says it all really, oh well lets concentrate on the league.
yippee

Believable11 Unbelievable10

Stop crying, im happy with our current signings especially jones and de gea, barca cant go on forever and fergie is building a squad for the future, trust sir alex.he very rarely lets us down

Agree0 Disagree0

They have signed no one yet

In any case we play in the Epl and Barca play in La Liga we will play them next season maybe in one game perhaps two maybe not at all Fergie is improving the squad and who are you to say with one or two more additions that we couldnt beat them next season if we play them ??
Young Jones and De Gea do improve the squad and will improve the team I am very happy with what Fergie is trying to do.

Red Knight.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasn't aware they had signed Fabregas though it does seem to be just a matter of time. Who knows where Sanchez will end up. Maybe he will stay put for another year. Don't forget it's not just us Barca have to beat next year. If we keep on getting to finals we'll win our share. I hope SAF stays on for many more years. Ryan.

Sky sports news report that citeh have pulled out of race to sign Sanchez. We dont know much about this lad but well done for not following the mercenary route.

REDNEV

Believable16 Unbelievable2

Sanchez the so called man u fan says he wants barca. Let him join them theres plenty others who wud love 2 wear the utd shirt

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to say I was wrong about Sanchez, I thought he was going to be a mercenary, it seems he wants his Barcelona move and he will be patient and hope he gets his move.

Chelsea's and Inter's inevitable bids may be pointless, but I suppose it's worth a bid.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

How come anyone who does, nt want to play for utd is a mercenary are you daft enough to think united don't pay there new signings top dollar and have done for years

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually admire Sanchez for choosing Barca and dismissing city out of hand...fair play to the lad and like syd I hope he does get his move.

Red Knight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of Course utd pay big wages but the attraction of massive success and history bring players to the club not just for the dollar

SSN: De Gea finally signs 5-year contract for ?Ç£17.8m...SSN. Happy days, and although it has seemingly been coming, i'm glad we've got this very, very good piece of business done and dusted.
Hopefully Nasri will sign (?Ç£ 17m) and i think that will end the transfer business with a small possibility of a starlet.

Ed What do you think United Maximum transfer budget's gonna be? {Ed002's Note - There won't be a budget per se. The club will have identified targets and their likely costs and will have identified revenue from sales. Don't see it as a budget.}

Believable10 Unbelievable2

So Ed You are saying there's no transfer budget from the Glazers? {Ed002's Note - It will not be a budget per se. There will be funds allocated for players based upon what the manager wants and what has been agreed to. This is how most clubs work. They simply don't say here is £100M do what you want.}

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2011 10:33:29
Shouldn't be a surprise but we've given up on Sanchez and the club he wants to join is Barcelona. However, because of his crazy price tag he probably isn't going anywhere.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Well if Mancini won't pay the price tag, I can;t imagine anyone else meeting it and he has declared City out of the race today.

heard United's agent will start talks with Schwensteiger once the European Window open....

There's far more chance of talks being held before July 1st, unless the player is on his holidays of course. Schweinsteiger will never happen my friend.

FIRST OF ALL NASRI WILL SIGN 23MIL
CLEVERLY NEXT SCHOLES
BARBS P/X +6MILL MATA

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Theres no way this will happen, first of all nasri will be going out of the country if he doesnt stay with arsenal, wenger knows the fans wont tolerate a player going to united, its too big a statement Cleverley will not be the "next scholes" simply because he is irreplaceable, himself and giggs come from a different footballing background to the kids in football nowadays where they dont have the brains to change a game like a world class player can, englands poor showing in the recent U21 internationals proves this to be factual. And as for "Barbs" as you called him - why would anyone swap their best player for a 30 year old substitute and a measly 6 million? It wont happen

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Cleverly will never be next Scholes but Nasri won't leave the country infact will come to OT

29 Jun 2011 09:31:33
nasri and wilshire + snijder definitely coming to OT whether u guys belive it or not....

Have a friend that works on Espn Sports center.... the show and i belive they carry lot of weightage

Dont be so daft for one we havent got that sort of money and two Wilshire is arsenal through and through and bragging on twitter how much he loves Arsenal and the new kit etc etc. If you are going to make something up make it believeable

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree were not sure if Sir Alex is even going to sign anymore players, Yes we could do with a Snijder but were not going to pay him 200,000 a week

Just saw Jack Rodwell shopping at Somerfield just near OLD TRAFFORD (OT). He told me he was there to sign a contract with United.

Believable3 Unbelievable37

Yeah I can just imagine it Sausages, bread, milk....... Oh I'd better not forget what i'm here for.... Can you look after my shopping Sir Alex whilst i sign my contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus there is no somerfield near Old Traffor di should know lie near there and been going to watch united for 30 yrs

Agree0 Disagree0

Rediculous. Forget Rodwell. Jones was bought ahead of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he is.

He also nipped into the Trafford Centre and got a Man United Credit card and had a quick pint with SAF in Nando's there while they openly discussed the proposed transfers of Nasri, Kaka and Messi

Jog on kitty

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think United do their contract signings at Somerfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like you were right mate, I've just seen SAF and Rodwell in the fruit and veg section, Rodwell asked if he could use my back while he signed the contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he go to Somerfeild to sign a contract?

Are all the offices at OT booked up for the day

Yeah, this is true...I know i was at the back of the queue and in front of me was Elvis, Lord Lucan, and Shergar. Morons

Believable14 Unbelievable25

Morning Ed002, there seems to be a lot of Nasri to United rumours via numerous newspapers today. Have you heard anything in regards to all of this? Odds at the bookies shot down that he will end up going to either City or United this week, is there anything in this mate?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I have heard nothing at all Syd. I would expect Nasri to stay at Arsenal with Fabregas leaving. I can see Arsenal offering a good deal to him, so I would not get your hopes up too much just yet.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I have said that I fully expect Nasri to sign a 120k a week deal with Arsenal, I think he will get his central role with the captain's armband too. And I still believe this. Just wondered if you heard anything new, that's all. You do tend to wonder slightly when most newspapers start agreeing with each other.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - He could of course go if he refuses to sign a new deal and a sufficient offer is placed. But I am sure Arsenal would look to offering up a package and some comforting words that would keep him in London for a while longer. I guess we will see. Gervinho is pretty close to his move to London, so there is some movement at the Emirates.}

Agree0 Disagree0

People, please give it up with the rodwell rumours, he is overpriced to start with and secondly he is nowhere near united quality. It simply will not happen

Hey guys,
just wondered if there was any chance of Ganso coming to OT. Heard he was supposed to be goin to Milan in January (as he wants to play in world club cup) but from what I understand Milan have foreign player quota problems. I know we were linked a while ago and just wondered if there was still a chance. Apparently price is around ?Ç£20 mil. Eds, any info? Cheers.

Rosco {Ed002's Note - I think it is pretty unlikely right now.}

I have read a few post on here that people have said Rio Ferdinand could move to Tottenham in a part exchange deal involving Modric.

This is not going to happen. My close friend works for the agency who look after Rio and also Ashley Young, he is good mates with both of them. I asked him and he laughed, Rio is going absolutely no where. Most of you could of guessed this anyway but thought I'd reasure you all.

I asked about Modric and he said from what he's heard he doubts that he'l be a United player next season.

Believable30 Unbelievable12

It's not wholly laughable, after all, Harry did make a bid last season for Rio. Obviously it isn;t likely to happen, but far crazier things have happened in football.

Nice to see a sensible "rumour" on this page, and none of this "trust" business. Why would I "trust" you, you half witted moron? Sorry, I'm ranting now...
