Stekelenburg has said: "I have possibly played my last game for Ajax. If an offer from Arsenal arrives, I will leave."

Does this mean it's a choice of Adler and De Gea to replace VDS?

I'd really like to see De Gea come to Old Trafford and at the moment he seems the more likely of the two.

As 'The Moon' and 'Sydney!' have done it, I too shall.

De Gea - M'Vila - Sneijder / Gotze - Guardado - Benzema

I truely fell this will be the BIG summer we United fans have been waiting for, under the Glazer regime.

De Gea - I believe it's all sorted. But, we shall see come the summer. As I said before, If the Lad is smart, and wants to prove himself capable for the Spanish No.1 spot then he needs to come to a team like us.

M'Vila - Seems a good, young, player who has plenty of potential. Would be a good addition if we go for a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-5-1 formation. 4-4-2 formation won't suit him, IMO.

Sneijder - We need him, END OF. And the rumours have some fire in them. If in the next one to three days Wesley Sneijder comes out and says he didn't say anything and wants to stay at Inter, then he will NOT be joining us. If he does not then I believe it will happen.

Gotze - Alot of good remarks for this guy. Although, Barca seem to be in the running for him.

Guardado - Probably my Favourite Left-Footed winger in the world at the minute. From my point of view he has everything you could ask for. Would be a brilliant addition!

Benzema - If Berbatov goes, I expect to see Benzema in the Red of Manchester United next season.

G.A.G.U.S {Ed002's Note - I am not sure that I agree with your perception of Chelsea. Perhaps it is just jealousy. Regardless that everyone "hates" the Manchester United owners, at the end of the day it is their business so there is a certain need to just suck it up. Perhaps if they provide no funding in the summer then there will be a good case to complain about the playing staff, but it seems to me that Manchester United are being linked with a number of players who will both improve the side and not come cheap.}

@Ed, I know I ask you this probably a tad too often too, but who do you 'KNOW' that United are linked with? When you say you suspect Coentrao could be signed, do you know something we don't or do you think he is the best player for the position United want, so you think we will target him because of this?

Also Paddy Crerand says on MUTV all of the time that he believes SAF could sign anyone he wants and the Glazers would fund it, do you go along with that? Obviously your Ronaldo's & Messi's are out of the question, but do you believe if SAF went to the Glazers and said I need £35m for Pastore, he's 21 blah blah blah, that they will fund it?

What do you think Ed?

Sydney!

{Ed002's Note - The statement that "I suspect" would indicate normally that I know there is interest at a reasonable level - not just a case of a couple of scouts going to games. In the case of Coentrao he was earmarked as a player who would be of use to the club on the left hand side. At the time it was thought that Evra was bound for Real Madrid. Other clubs have also shown an interest in Coentrao as I have said before - particularly Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Chelsea was also considering the player last summer but are now most happy with the options they have. AC Milan are looking at Cissokho of Lyon, Maxwell from Barcelona and Genoa's Criscito to fill a similar role. If they cannot get their targets they may also be interested. Equally, both Lyon and Barcelona could be interested if they were to lose their player. This is all based on what one might term "good" information and is, as far as I know, a fair reflection of where we are at the moment. As for Pastore, Palermo is a diificult club to deal with (to say the least) and money is not something they are short of. They crave success and I would not be surprised to see him stay another season. Juventus have been knocked back with their standard offer of €20m in cash plus Raffaelle Palladino, Amauri and Sebastian Giovinco in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. Chelsea are looking for a long-term replacement for Lampard and Manchester United are looking for a long-term replacement for Scholes. He is certainly not top of Chelsea's transfer list but they will keep a watching brief. The rejected bid that was publicised was certainly from Manchester City. Liverpool has shown an interest as well but may struggle with the price - which if he is sold is likely to be the highest of the summer.

I would think that the Glazers' will be supportive of the manager within reason constraints. So whilst he won't do all of his shopping at Saks, perhaps he can still do a little there.

As to whether I know anything you don't, I cannot answer. I hope this all helps a little.}

@Sydney,
I apologise for my rant earlier, i got a little carried away with your 'you hate united comments'.

as for your summer suggestions, well i'm going to do the same.

Sydney: Adler - Rodwell - Goetze - AOC - Young
Moon: De Gea - Henderson - Adam - Mata OR Young.

By the way, what makes everybody so sure we've signed Young? i've heard nothing about it, i mean i've read the stuff about him being a transfer target but that's all? ED, Care to shed some light?

The Moon.

{Ed002's Note - Certainly Liverpool have an interest and it seems United have an interest. As far as I know there is no agreement with Aston Villa for a fee or a transfer at this time.}

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I rather think that Barcelona may have an influence on the Mario Goetze transfer.}

@It was only a matter of time before another top team come in for him. What's the situation Ed? Is Barcelona actually in talks with Dortmund?

Sydney!

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what discussions have taken place with Borussia Dortmund but there has been contact with Dirk Hebel about the player and I anticipate that a bid will be made in the summer.}

Man utd will never buy sniejder and young. Only one will come in as a role just behind the attackers

If rodwell signs we'll get young- (combined 32-34million)
if rodwell doesn't sign we'll get sneijder(26-30million)

De Gea is probably agreed, does someone know if Young is done? And what about Sneijder? Is this transfer likely?

Having looked over much of the morning's press it is looking a fairly good bet that Sneijder will be on his way to O.T. Can' complain if that does happen because lets face it he was Inter's main man last season and he almost single handedly took Holland to the World Cup final. Also De Gea is increasingly likely according to Guillem Balague and a few of the papers anyway. So it leaves us with the Defensive Midfielder and maybe a left winger. If Sneijder is signed I think a bid for Rodwell isn't likely as we will be spending £30 million on Sneijder and Rodwell will also be pretty big money. My bet is M'Vila as the DM and if a left winger is signed my guess is Ashley Young simply because he is only going to cost around £12 million. If all these signings go through our side will be frightening next season.

De Gea

Rafael Smalling Vidic Evra

Fletcher M'Vila

Valencia Sneijder Nani

Rooney

Lindegaard Fabio Ferdinand O'Shea Carrick Young Giggs Park Pogba Morrison Hernandez Berbatov

We could alternate between formations and have capable replacements for almost everyone.

I would like to draw United supporters attention to a new film made by the BBC which will be shown on Easter Sunday it is called United. I went to a preview of it at the Cornerhouse in Manchester last week and there wasn' a dry eye in the house. I have criticised Bobby Charlton in the past because of his stance on the Glazers, but this film is shot through his eyes and really gives you a fresh look at how much he has been through on behalf of United. Do not expect a Hollywood style ending this is a very sad film, it is about youth, friends and how people deal with disaster.Everybody who watched the film was in tears by the end maybe because we all had family involved but still it is a must watch for any United supporter and gives us all a timely reminder as what it means to be Manchester United. I understand that Benfica are preparing a bid for Defour.

Will this force United to act?
