LISTEN TO THIS!! i could hardly wait to get back from the game. i was coming out of goodison after our 1-0 victory, and i saw 4 men in suits coming out of the executive lounge, and i heard them saying "i hope micheals going to be o.k giving the number 7 shirt up!" i dont know who they were talking about, what do you guys think? what about you ed?

All the suits were black ed, and as for the other replys, the reason i was four hours after the game finished is because i had to take my grandma to get her toe nails clipped. beleive you me, these guys looked the business, im sure they were talking about a new number 7 coming in (or an old one, RONALDO) what you think, could it be possible?

Aston Villa are contemplating an £8million January offer for Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick.
The 30-year-old has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford after a string of disappointing displays.
The England international has fallen behind Anderson, Darren Fletcher, Park Ji Sung, Ryan Giggs and Tom Cleverley in the United pecking order.
Sir Alex Ferguson will listen to offers for Carrick as he wants the money – and the wages – to reinvest in his own transfer targets.
Villa will be first in-line to sign Carrick as they could desperately use his ability on the ball and experience to give the team a boost.
Manager Alex Mcleish is a huge fan of the former Tottenham player and would love to have Carrick’s passing range in his team.
With England manager Fabio Capello only going to pick players for Euro 2012 on form, it will be essential for Carrick to be playing regularly.
A move to Villa Park will be tempting otherwise he will be spending a lot of time on the United bench.

To be fair Carricks been linked to Villa since O'Neill was manager. Although i do agree he would he a good signing for them to guide the younger midfielders lie Bannan, Herd and Albrighton. Might not happen in January, but a possibilty for Summer perhaps?

I'd say summer it could happen, we won't be letting too many go in January..and at the very least he is good cover for injuries. I think he'll be gone by summer and Rodwell will be signed in January or maybe Summer as a replacement/upgrade
