Apparantly Arsenal are close to agreeing a fee for W.Carvalho after his club put him up for sale.
Any truth in this Ed?

That will just about make Arsenal complete if they get him.

I hope not. He'd be a fantastic signing for us or them.

Hopefully this news will have Khedira pushing for his agent to sort a deal to Arsenal.

I think SL would need to lower their asking price a lot before Arsenal agree a deal with them for Carvalho.

R7, Arsenal cannot afford Khedira. His wage demands are astronomical. WC would command a low salary and will be cheaper overall, but I cannot see arsenal paying €45m. The price would need to come down.

I hope we do not put all our eggs in the Vidal basket and end up with no one.

Syd - I think Khedira will lower his wage demands if it looks like Carvalho to Arsenal might happen. His game time will be limited next season and Arsenal are the only team I can see going in for him.

R7, I think Khedira will see out his deal at RM and then sign for a club on a monster signing on fee.

I would be devastated if Arsenal got him. He'd cost, but wages wise he would be cheap (if 90k+ is cheap lol). Only young, outstanding potential. Arsenal would certainly try and sign him Syd. A few too many JDs washed down with the ol blue nun 2nyt? ;)
With all that's happening, avoiding speculation on his odds with the bookies. I'd be AMAZED if we weren't to show serious interest at some point.

002, may I ask whether United are still trying hard for Hummels? And do ypu know how that's coming along?

Ed. Thank you for all the updates/info you provide even though u must be sick of us united fans asking about Vidal!

My question if you have time is, are you aware of any approaches to united to offer for our current squad. Hernandez, Nani, Kagawa etc.

{Ed002's Note - Inter, Spurs and Southampton are interested in Hernandez - Atletico have turned their attentions elsewhere. Nani may well be moving but his destination is not clear. Atletico and CSKA Moscow have an interest in Kagawa but I suspect that CSKA will look elsewhere.}
