I don't know much about Yacob so i can't comment on him. But Strootman is a player i hugely admire and would love to see him in a red shirt, the way he dictates play is awesome. For those who don't know him he's a deep lying playmaker in the Carrick/Pirlo mould. Tadic is another player i'd like to see sign, a left footed winger who can cross as well as Valencia if not better. It's something we've been crying out for since Giggs has come inside. He would add a whole new dimention to our attack. I noticed you didn't put Nani in your list of midfielders, do you feel he'll be sold then?

When I read this earlier, and I saw Strootman mentioned, I knew Shappy would be onto this in a heartbeat ;)

I like nani and on his day he's a match winner on other days he has you screaming at your telly in frustration and for me there more of those days i cant see him being sold unless someone offers 30m though and in his defence he has been injured for a month i think cjwales82

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the OP nani can be frustrating but i don;t see him being sold, there is talk of a new contract. Frustrates me that we can offer him a pay rise but wont bend a little bit on other players.

Strootman could be interesting as a Carrick replacement that we will need in couple of years. Could also do for if he gets injured or drops in form.

As for Tadic never heard of him but been after a left footed winger for ages, would be great if we had a left footed version of Valencia.

United are tracking a young Irish player called Noe Baba. He's a very talented player and is only 15 years old. He's the Irish U16 captain and if we can get him, I think we have a real gem on our hands. He's certainly the best young Irish player I've seen for a while. He can play in midfield and attack. Keep an eye out for him.

I hope we sign him as it's not quite the same without an irishman in the squad. I know we have Evans but we need a republican in the squad. Although i do have high hopes for Brady.

Shappy

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm fairly certain he is already basically a United player. I know he played for the youths in Marveld (may not have been that comp) last year. Not sure of the comp, but certain he has played for United. I think we are waiting for him to turn 16 then he will officially move to United on a youth contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have seen him play for castlebar celtics around about 7 months ago and although the level of football wasn't that high he impressed me throughout the whole game.
I know people won't believe me but my cousin (who playes for mayo under 14s) plays with his brother and has also said to me he is the best player he has ever trained with.

Anyone got any news on Pogba and Fryers contract situation?

Ports

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I wouldn't worry about Fryers as much, he was offered a fraction of what Pogba was offered. He is a United fan and he is a decent lad.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would worry about both, they have agents who don't care who they play for they only care about how much they(agents) can get.... HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

Talksh*te are reporting that Pogba is on his way to Juventus and they will send Milos Krasic in the opposite direction. They are usually full of sh*t so I wouldnt read much into it, although I cant help but worry a little as that would be a terrible move to replace a future world class player with someone who couldnt cut it in Serie A. This is all getting a bit old. SAF needs to pull his head out of his behind and tell the lad that he will get X amount of games next season, have him sign the contract and then if he doesnt work out we can sell him for more than the nominal fee we will get this summer anyway.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Pogba headin to juve and krasic coming our way

Bernard

Agree0 Disagree0

So I guess they are both off?
No sign of anyone having signed a new contract yet. Deadline is close

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually, I don't know what's worst. Losing Pogba, or getting Krasic. He's poor to say the least.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ignore this b****cks. Why would we want krasic? Talks**t are just babbling nonesense.

The Pogba situation will be sirted inert way iraq another before the summer.

Monk

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you guys serious? we leave sneider and go get krasic?that just doesn't make any sense..i say it again, all this is to get the attention away from the players so that the team can concentrate on the run-in..everything will be sorted out in time...

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is heading to Juventus - and they will send Milos Krasic to Old Trafford in return, according to reports in Italy.
Contract rebel Pogba has so far failed to sign a new deal at United and he could leave for nothing in the summer.
His contract expires at the end of the season and his agent, Mino Raiola, says the situation at United is 'precarious'.
Juventus want to sign Pogba, 18, and are willing to offer him a massive £45,000-a-week to move to Serie A - a sum United will not match.
It seems as if Pogba is heading to Italy and would move to Juventus for a nominal sum as he will be out of contract but, in return, Juventus will sweeten the deal by offering Krasic.
The Serbian has fallen out of favour at Juventus and the club want to move him on, with Chelsea said to be keen on him.
United have also watched Krasic in the past and Tuttosport report that Krasic will move to Old Trafford as a makeweight in the Pogba deal.

Believable2 Unbelievable21

Where did you hear about this?

Simmo

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Juventus pay a fee for Pogba or even offer Klasnic as part of a deal if Pogba is out of contract in the summer.
The truth of the matter is that United have an optiontion to extend his contract by one year and according to the manager intend to take up the option as they have just done with Berbatov.
This does not mean that both players will be staying, but that should the club decide to sell they will be entitled to a fee. In Pogba's case it gives United a lever in contract negotiations and this is why the club are playing hard ball with the player at present.
As for Klasnic the club have absolutely no interest in the player.
Raffa

Agree0 Disagree0

If Pogba is going to be available for free then why would they offer a player they paid Ł12m for 2 years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute nonsense, for a start Pogba is a free agent in the summer so wouldn't have to give us Krasic in return. And there is no way on this planet that Juve will pay Pogba anything close to Ł45k a week. Ł25k-Ł30k at the most. I even believe they are trying to unsettle him and once all ties are broken with us they will offer him far less than reported.

Sydney!

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

So one assumes that Juventus are now a registered charity!,....they'll send us a player as a sweetener for player who they can have for free anyway?

I'd like us to take a look at , he scored two goals in the Copa Libertadores the other day. He can operate in the middle and on the left wing, he's reasonably strong on the ball aswell. He's what people would like to see I think, creative, lefty, standard foreign name to get fans excited! what more could you want!

Sanshine {Ed002's Note - He may well struggle to get a work permit.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

What more could i want... his name maybe.?

Agree0 Disagree0

In addition to that, Angelo Henriquez (the guy we have a pre-contract with) Is slowly but surely breaking into the Universidad de Chile side! could be exciting.

With regards to Gutierrez, that's a shame. I always forget about permit issues because this 'exceptional talent' rule that gets bandied about. He's a bit old to go to Twente for a season as well. I'd still like to have a go!

Ed's and anyone with anything

Seems to be a slow day on the rumours front.

Does anyone know anything regards to who we are currently looking at and is likely to sign.

Monk {Ed001's Note - it is early days mate, there are hundreds of players to be watched between now and the transfer window opening. The only definite is you are still watching that Marseille right back, I am not going to even try and spell his name!}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Cheers Ed

Some news is better than none.

On a side note Bale is apprently going to be fit to play, HR has said the injury isn't as bad as they thought.

**it was a typical dodge the national game to save him for the next important club game**

Is that Azpilicueta that you are talking about ed? If so it does make sense as full back areas are the areas we are short in and he can play left back or right back equally as well (like Fabio).
