Rooney is moving to Real Madrid this month FACT I have contacts in Spain who can verify this. It will either be a straight transfer (price approx 21M Euros) or it will be a sawp deal with Khedira moving to "OT".

Sedrick. {Ed004's Note - So you are trying to tell me Rooney is only worth 21 euros in this day in age when unproven talents like Moura are going for twice that?}

Believable17 Unbelievable93

I guess that would be Sedrick the clown

Agree1 Disagree0

You must get carried around on a tea tray, because YOU are a mug. FACT.

Ozwald

Agree5 Disagree0

03 Jan 2013 22:03:45
More likely he will sign another improved contract at OT. Also would cost closer to 100m euros

Agree1 Disagree0

Adam rooney aint worth £21m euros

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah, Sedrick must have gotten things mixed up--

It's Michael Carrick leaving, and he's going to Barcelona, not Real Madrid.

Straight swap for Iniesta.

Agree3 Disagree0

Vastly over-rated player, perhaps the most over-rated ever. Worth £10m max

Agree0 Disagree4

The word FACT in bold capitals undoubtedly means this is 100% going to happen.
Forget that Sir Alex doesn't like to do big transfers in January, Rooney is injured or that he is worth nearer £50million.... Real Madrid are buying Rooney FACT... I'm gutted!
I'm going to win the Euromillions jackpot tomorrow FACT.
Flyhalfmitch.

Agree3 Disagree0

I would guess you meant Rooney for khedira+ 21 Mils

Mick

Agree1 Disagree0

This made me laugh

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not sure why the Eds don't just delete such obviously goon-brained posts as this ..... oh yes! they have a sense of humour too and want us all to have a merry chuckle at some poster's utter stupidity.
Mike B.

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL...Sedrick is there something wrong with you?
Wayne Rooney 21 Million EUROS what a crack pott post!
Why do even bother posting sh*te like that, it's laughable and makes you sound ridiculious!

Simmo

Agree0 Disagree0

Laughable! Zaha is being touted at 20m by some papers. Are u trying to tell us Rooney is only worth 21m? Why should we sell him on the cheap?
NoMidfield

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't agree with the valuation of 21mil Euros, but he wouldnt be worth anywhere near the £50mil mark, more like £30-£35mil - people forget his signing on clause would be immense, and it would be his last major contract if he went, so his wages would be astronomical for any buyer - with all the young strikers coming through, it's fair to say that Rooney wont be as valued by the club in a year or two and this is the point he will be knocking for his big payday (he already is on ludicrously high wages from the last time he held us to ransom). Makes sense to offload him in the Summer especially if we are serious about Lewandowski - he will be at the best value this Summer for the club to sell, makes perfect sense to me.

Sween

Agree0 Disagree2

I can confirm this, yet, it is in fact Kai Rooney that is moving to real madrid! Mourinho has seen the pictures of him lounging about in sunglasses on a beach in barbados and believes he will fit right in with the rest of the squad, while adding some maturity!

In legacy we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

No he's not, he's going back to Everton. His agent Paul Stretford sat across the aisle from me on a train out of Manchester today and we both got off at the same stop, he got in his car and set off in the direction to Liverpool.

Ed do you think forren could be on his way to us?

ole did suggest him to saf

Big V {Ed002's Note - Molde's Vegard Forren has attracted various degrees of interest from Manchester United, Fulham, Everton and Standard Liege.}

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Fulham are in negotiations with him according to a website...

Agree0 Disagree0

Solskjaer said he will not travel to the national team camp because he is in the final stages of negotiations with another club. He even said its possible he could go for a medical and negotiate his personal contract.

RDG

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton are also very a likely destination from credible sites...

Patzi

Agree0 Disagree0

On the Norwegian sports news, last night, it was said he is negotiating with Fulham. A smarter move, in my opinion, as it will be easier to get playing time there, and Forren knowing he could link up with Hangeland (and that will increase his chances playing for the national team as well).

With Zeki Fryers joining spurs is there anyway in which we can make a claim to try and get some compensation which we would have got had he joined them straight away because it seems to me that we are getting screwed and Standard Liège have made a quick buck at our expensive.

Walrus

Believable22 Unbelievable4

Er no compo but shrewd by levy

Agree0 Disagree0

The club didn't offer him a contract, allowing him to leave. He moved to Belgium and tried again and now it seems he's made it.

The club gave up any claim over him when they let his contract expire. Obviously.

Agree0 Disagree0

He trained with spurs in the summer and if he had signed for them , some form of compensation would of been due, seems to me spurs sent him to belgium for a few months then pulled a fast one.dont know if we can do anything about it but im sure our lawyers will be looking closely at whats gone on.
johndenton

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't offered a contract. The club effectively made him unemployed. Any club that would seek compensation in these circumstances would be lacking in class.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the second post you are incorrect if he had signed for any english team we would have been compensated because we had trained him up.
To the fifth poster all teams that lose players try and get the compensation that they are owed.

Walrus

He trained with spurs who advised him to join liege who spurs have an affiliation with

Sneijder to united to be completed within next 10 days..
Count on..

Believable38 Unbelievable67

Rather him than Fellaini....
But don't think we will get either

Baines / fellini straight swop for nani / rooney any takers

Agree0 Disagree3

Pip

Agree0 Disagree0

I ope they do a streight swap for nani

Agree0 Disagree0

We'd all love to see him at OT, but he clashes with RVP. Making any move impossible. RVP is our new golden boy...

Patzi

Agree0 Disagree0

Redknapp said and agent asked him if he wanted Sneijder but he's on about £200, 000 a week... With RvP transfer you could see if Fergie knows there's class, age is just a number, I think the deal is unlikely due to the injuries he has had recently and the wages he's on. Some say is a risk they are willing to take as the rumoured cut price is £11m but I personally don't want him here.

Antonio Valencia is wanted by valencia for 23 million. {Ed004's Note - I can't see it happening but that is a good offer but I'm not sure I'd accept it}

Believable9 Unbelievable41

Any truth to this or just thought it'd be funny as he shares a name with the club?

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Valencia can play in the fluid attacking line up that we are looking to create. I would bite their hand off at that price and reinvest in someone like Isco. But then again, this isn't FIFA.

Luke

Agree0 Disagree0

Bite their legs off, carry him there, get it done quickly.

Aesop

Agree2 Disagree0

I dont see this being a good offer, how much would a replacement cost? It will take a good few seasons for Zaha to get up to Toni's standard. He has not been at his best this year but is still by far our best winger.

Bazza

Agree0 Disagree3

Take it - buy isco!

Agree1 Disagree0

Do Valencia even have £23 million would be my question

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't believe the rumour, but hypothetically I would strongly consider such an offer. Especially given Valencia's age, recent form and possible background injury. I'm a fan of his but this could give us the opportunity to reinvest and move to a more fluid/technical formation.

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

Highly doubtful. They are in a very difficult financial position and this is just some bs paper talk. Eds can probably confirm.

Shahram {Ed004's Note - Last I heard Valencia were struggling financially and that is why they have gotten rid of Mata, Silva and Villa the past few years}

Agree2 Disagree0

If we knew that we would sign Ronaldo in the summer then I would sell him.

Fresh!

Agree0 Disagree0

He is playing at a fairly ordinary level this season. I think it's because full backs have sussed his total one footedness. I'd cash in. Then again I'm one of a few on here that thinks Nani is far better than tony playing down the right anyway.

are we really in for strootman this january? i was hoping we'd get shawcross back - announced he's signed deal with stoke! we really do need defensive reinforcements? ie a certain real madrid coming to town! {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Liverpool took a look at Kevin Strootman last season but tentative enquiries were met by a reluctance to sell so soon after arriving. His performances have attracted further interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Valencia, AC Milan, Schalke 04 and Hamburg. I expect him to move to Manchester United or Milan perhaps in January, if not in the summer.}

Believable21 Unbelievable6

Hey ed 002..small clarification.. did you mean perhaps in the summer, if not in January?

or this January window?

Has there been any updates regarding Wanyama? I.e interest from us or other clubs. I feel he could be a pretty decent signing for us in cm as long as he costs under £20m which may be unlikely knowing Celtic and Neil Lennon.

AvidRed {Ed002's Note - Nothing new.}

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Who cares about wanyama what makes him the next big thing sorry this guy is way overated covers ground thats it we need someone who can offer a whole lot more than that!

Agree0 Disagree0

No name poster clearly you haven't watch him properly. He's got a lot of talent, not to mention his physical attributes that help him out too. We simply would not have Martin Ferguson at some of Celtic's games to watch him if there was no reason to watch him for.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

He reminds me of John Obi Mikel -when we tried to sign him before he went to Chelski
We have been in for players like him before "remember Djemba Djemba" :-)
Not sure he is the type of footballer we need the game is much more mobile now and tackling / tacklers may have had their day
We don't need to win the ball if we don lose the ball

Sorry ozwald but the man is not what we are after as pedroknight says obi mikel springs to mind guys running round the field covering ground days are over we need someone in the xavi alonso mould!

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you actually watched him? He's composed on the ball and a great passer for Christ sake! Or are you being really stupid by trying to say because he's strong and athletic he's not the type of player we need? Take Yaya Toure for example, he's big, strong and can tackle at the same time he can go forward with the ball at his feet, pick out a great pass and can also put the ball in the back of the net himself!

Don't forget he's still very young, 21. He has plenty of time to work on his weaknesses which would be his decision making. One of the main things that get better with age + experience.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozwald - You are speaking sense my friend. Wanyama looks like he could well develop into a Yaya type player. He is mobile, strong, quicker then many think, good in the air and chips in with a few goals. I feel he would be a fantastic asset for us at 15 -20m He Would put some power into our weak looking midfield.

You can't even put toure in the same sentance!wanyama plays for celtic the last player we got from there was liam millar wot a disaster he was we even signed him on a pre contract wot a joke that was!that shows how much a player playing in a none competitive league for the best team in that league can fool ppl!an before its mentioned the game against barca cannot be a good marker over the two games celtic only had 20% posession at most!and were going to hand out 20 mill for him!I don't think so we need a player who can keep hold of the ball and pass aka an alonso type not a player who is unproven at any level!and as for toure everyone knew what quality he had before he went to city!

Agree0 Disagree0

So you would class your previos steals from celtic in that category of poor players in a poor league, Mcclair, Macari and Crerand, Johnbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 19:57:37
It obviously wasn't a poor league the time they played but its poor now an has been for some time especialy now!

Agree0 Disagree0

Our league might be week but Wanyama has got it all i hope your manager does not rate him as we might be able to hang on to him a bit longer. Don't let the fact he plays in a poor league cloud your judgement this boy will go to the very top off the game. He has been superb for us in the champions league and a major factor in us making it to the last 16, and he is as a previous poster said only 21 and defo a star of the future. He is the type of player your team needs an out and out ball winner in the middle of the park and can himself play a bit. Only thing is he has on occasions jumped into a tackle he maybe should not have but i put that down to a bit of inexperience but trust me this boy has it all. He is also a big Man utd fan apparently. maccabhoy

Question for the Eds are we interested in Dede from Vasco de Gama?

Shahram {Ed002's Note - Manchester United, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Fiorentina, Benfica and Roma have shown an interest in Vasco's Dede over the past couple of years. Recently AC Milan, Barcelona, Anzhi, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have been keeping a watching brief on the player in the months leading up to the end of the Brazilian season. A bid has been made by Corinthians although I understand it is not a destination the player would consider right now.}

good news! Summer signings are baines, strootman and zaha. Bad news. New manager is moyes.

Believable10 Unbelievable66

Why is that bad news? Moyes is a class manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes Great News :)
Wins without money

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton fan here first of all you need 20 million for baines which you aint got and second moyes not going anywere so trot on {Ed004's Note - Haha love when opposition fans come on trying to claim we have no money. So how did we spend more than 100 million in the past few windows?}

Agree0 Disagree1

Well it wasnt the clubs money was in dumbo , we can all borrow money an get in debt

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton fan here. I think the previous everton poster is getting a bit wound up because we always seem to sell one of our best players every transfer window although this window i am confident we will keep everyone.
I have posted on the man utd pages before and i will say again that moyes is a quality manager.

Cheeks

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no denying Moyes is a quality manager. His record relative to money spent is very impressive.

Problem is - has he shown that he has the ability to manage one of the top European teams and make them formidable? He's hardly managed in European Competition at all and hasn't won any trophies whatsoever.

So although I rate him, I don't think he has the level of experience required to take over from SAF.

Lastly, the noname Everton fan is being silly! So do City and Chelsea's signings not count either because they are funded by rich individual's? Do Arsenal's signings not count because they owe money against their stadium? Do Liverpool's signings not count because they are in debt? You need to get a grip of the modern day game, pal. In terms of that, and Everton's latest accounts, it would seem you may need to sell Baines just to break even!

Like Ed004 said we've spent almost £50m net in our 2 most recent seasons. We also mad a comfortable profit.

Gav {Ed004's Note - And somehow from having to 'borrow money' and therefore logically speaking it should increase our debt, our debt has been decreasing significantly}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm an Evertonian and I can say for sure that Baines is going nowhere, he has no desire to leave and is way down the list of players who the club is willing to cash in on (and there are a few).

As for taking Moyes, I can't see it. Whoever takes over from old whiskey nose will have to be a fool, and Davey ain't no fool! The Man United job is going to be the biggest poisoned chalice in football one Fergie goes.

You lot needn't worry about our accounts either. We made a loss last year but those accounts don't yet include player sales from the summer, they do include transfer fees paid for Gibson and Jelavic last January, there is no preassure on the club to break even. Most football clubs would report a loss if £12-15 million of income from a player sale was not included in their accounts.

Besides, our debt stands at around 10% of United's debt. So pipe down Ed!

aintreeblue {Ed004's Note - Why should I pipe down? A bit over the top I was simply stating the facts. Even though your debt is around "10%" or uniteds who's financial position would you rather be in? The financial position were even though you have a significant amount of debt the club is still able to go out and spend 50 + million over the past few windows in transfers and still reduce the debt or in a position were the club has limited funds and purchases United's cast offs? Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching Everton play and have said all season I think they have the best left side in the country atm, I also think Mirallas looks a top talent and in no way was I criticising Everton I was just stating the financial position united are in as one of your fans posted an inaccurate post...I also don't quite see how the position would be a poison chalice we dont have a particularly old team, yes a few players need replacing but they are not the spine of the team, we have a few top talented youngsters, our owners (granted they are far from great) aren't involved in the running of the club and money will be made available for any new manager, and I could garuntee there would be a host of managers wanting this job, and I couldn't see Moyes turning it down, now honestly could you?}

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jan 2013 17:18:24

does anyone really expect fergie to stay on two years? Last time he announced a date look what happened. He'll go in six months or eighteen months. Besides in two years time both pep and jose wont be available. Pep will be taking a job somewhere, possibly milan, this summer. Jose will be leaving madrid this summer as well. So if we want one of those it'll have to be this summer. Moyes has done great at everton on peanuts but could he cope at united? Doesn't have european experience, no experience of winning trophies, i think he'd crack under the pressure. We need a manager with cojones to take the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

'aintreeblue'

What percentage of our revenues or profit do you benefit from though? Using one figure (debt) in isolation is pretty meaningless.

Like Ed4, I felt the need to correct an inaccurate post. I don't actually think you need to sell Baines (unfortunately) that was said in jest in response to noname's comment re: our accounts.

I'm actually a big fan of Everton, the squad Moyes has built and some of the football they play. So I'll be happy if you guys can keep hold of Moyes and Fellaini. I still want Baines though ; ) Though I'm not at all convinced we will ever get him.

Good luck staying above L'pool anyway!

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah we can get Moyes in and Carroll and just lump the ball up to him never have wanted Moyes

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said your not havin baines fellini or moyes for that money , same thing every year Moyes finds an up and coming great player and we always seem to get them poached by bigger spenders, ie lescot , rooney , wish people would back off , Cant see how Utd fans say they wouldnt have Moyes as manager look were he has taken us with fk all money, that surely tells me he a great manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, if I'm over the top, you are oversensitive! I'll be honest and say I'd rather be in Everton's position over Utd's. Like all the other billionaire-owned clubs, Utd just seems so soulless (from the outside looking in of course).

All of the factors that you rightly say make the Utd job a great one can be taken as given BUT you have to use a bit of abstract thought here. Whoever takes the job is replacing the greatest manager in the history of English football (I begrudgingly concede) and will be compared to him at every turn. Every loss will bring the sky falling around the new man's ears (in the media at least) and you just have to realise that Fergie will be casting his shadow over your club long after he has 'retired'. Just like Kenny Dalgleish at Liverpool.

aintreeblue {Ed004's Note - And is why I think the club will look to sign an experienced manager who will not let the media pressure get to him. You can't say the likes of Mourinho etc wouldn't be able to with stand some media pressure.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Fergie says 2 more years. Moyes will not take-over from Fergie this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

The next united manager will last 2 seasons, tops.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will cost a lot of money for Baines now after the free kick against Newcastle ....£20 million added to £25 million he was worth beforehand ....

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes can earn 2m tops at Everton, whilst winning nothing. Or he could, if offered, earn twice that and have a winning outfit at the glorious United. Do you Everton boys really think Fellani won't be in a top three club, or overseas in a year or two?
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

Good news....you mentioned only three players. bad news....you've officially gone nuts

Agree0 Disagree0

WOW 5 mil a goal RVP must be worth at least 100mil now lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your all being a bit harsh with each other really. As an everton fan I can say moyes would do a great job at united, given time. Fergie came to you without managing a club the size of uniteds and in time has been sensational! The sad thing is in this day and age I'm not sure the next united manager will get time if it doesn't go well straight away. Baines would be an awesome signing for anyone but can't see him going and certainly not for less than 20 million. Felli will cost around 25-30 million minimum and think fergie will think there is better value around...not that I do!! Jags would be a good signing for u. Great player! Good luck in winning the league, can't stand Sitteh and new money!

Crystal Palace want 20m for Zaha. A lot of papers are saying we'd get him for 12m. If we've got 12m knocking around I'd be quite upset. We should of used that to get Dembele instead of offering a measly 5m & losing him to Spurs.
