I tell you what is even more interesting than the Aguero rumour. SAF had dinner with Jorge Mendes in Madrid last week. They have always said that the Ronaldo money is still in the bank. Is he coming back? I believe that he doesn't like the Mourinho style of football.

For me I think he was too hasty in wanting to go to Real Madrid anyway. Yes I can see he wanted to live his and his familys dream and play for them, but with Barcelona destined to be top dogs there for a few more years to come, he was never going to be more than just another Galactico. Should have stayed with us till he was about 29-30. Could he be on his way back for 4 years. Maybe he is missing that winning feeling, I know they won the Copa del Ray but come on

That Aguero rumours sound very interesting but i can't see us spending that much on a striker when we actually need a very good/ world class central midfielder.

But it seems that Berbatov could be on his way out of the club and so we would need another good striker, because even if Hernandez can score pretty consistently his allround game is just not very good, and Aguero is world class at a very young age with a lot more potential.

That said i can only see one "big" deal for us in the summer. Something like:

Aguero/ Sneijder/ Sanchez/ (Modric) = 30m+

Young/ Rodwell/ M'Vila = 10m-20m

De Gea = 20m

Now that's news! Takes free kicks, runs past players, good finisher and quite strong as well! Would fit right in i think! If we could get those personal terms agreed, boy this would be a major coup for the summer that's for sure."

That would be by far the best signing I could wish for. One of my favourite Forwards and as you quite rightly pointed out he's one of the most all round gifted players on the planet.

Forget Sneidjer and Pastore. The man we need to go for is Sissoko, Moussa Sissoko of Toulose. Been watching the kid for the past 6 weeks. Believe me he's class, and still only 21.

There's a team in the Prem chasing after him, me mate believes it's the Scousers. But the talks apparently seem like breaking down.
Ed, is it indeed the Scousers after him? Is it true that the talks are on the verge of breaking down? Do you know of any interest in him from us? Do you think he'd be keen on a move to OT?
Also what's happening wit Mvila? I remember him saying we are his dream club and we're interested.
How close/ far are we from completing a deal with him?

Damien Comolli has already let Sissoko's agent know that Liverpool see his man as the ideal long-term replacement for Steven Gerrard. Aside from strong interest from Juventus and AC Milan, Genoa and probably Napoli are also interested.}

I certainly don't mean immediately this summer ed, but possibly next summer. The feeling i have been getting over the past few years ed is that the media generally have no clue about who we really are after and United seem to keep the cards firmly close to their chests so the players about whom there seems to be no noise at all look of interest to me!

As you said Berbatov may not be interested in a move to Sicily, but we could sell him and pay completely in cash upfront and Palermo may prefer that other than the part ownership and player exchanges etc. He would surely choose United over Napoli, who currently look like the only realistic bidders?

About Aguero, you surely mean he may be at Chelsea right, certainly not United?

I know it ed. You have already posted this before i think. He is just one of the players i would like to be seen at United. Apart from Tottenham and Arsenal i don't think the other 3 need him or would pay big money for him, also don't think he will fit in at Chelsea now with Torres there.

We should really go for this guy. Imo, the transfer will not be as difficult as it seems. Berbatov could well be involved in the deal?

How very rich of Ramon Calderon to criticise Jose Mourinho for his behaviour and his comments to the press, in todays interview on Sky Sports. Perhaps he forgot the numerous times he would use the press as an avenue to unsettling and signing the players he wanted with no regard for common decency or respect for others. When SAF claimed he "wouldnt sell them a virus" it was largely down to the, then, regime and Calderon himself. Calderon also spoke of Mourinhos desire to come to United. . . . Id say Madrid can keep him if its all the same.
