Dinamo Zagreb claim that Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton are all chasing their starlet Sime Vrsaljko.

The 18-year-old midfielder is rated as one of the best players to emerge from Croatia in recent years.

He has been called into the Croatia squad for their Euro 2012 qualifier with Malta, and if he plays will become his country's youngest ever player.

Now his club's vice-president Zdravko Mamic has confirmed that a host of clubs are chasing him.

"I will tell you something, which is really exclusive, everybody wants Sime Vrsaljko, " Mamic told a press conference.

"I can tell you, that he is followed by Manchester United and also City, Everton, Arsenal, Tottenham, by everybody!

"And I will not even start to name all the clubs from Germany, France and Italy which also wants him."

Mamic, who rejected overtures from Marseillefor Vrsaljko in the summer, insists they are not looking to sell but they could not resist any major bids.

"Our wish is not to sell anybody from our team, but the truth is, that we can only survive if we sell our best players, " he said.

Reports in Croatia suggest a deal worth £8million would be enough to land Vrsaljko.

Dont know about the source of the rumour but Kranjaer would be a good signing for Utd. Very tidy passer, international experience and chips in with goals. Its a sign of Spurs midfield strength that a player who recently scored 3 goals in 2 Euro qualifiers can't get in the team.

Gotta laugh at the Manure fans on here claiming inside knowledge of deals for Bale and Modric going on. Lets face some facts. Levy always plays extreme hardball when it comes to transfer deals (especially with Manure) so even in the extremely unlikely event he decided he wanted to part dismantle a team that looks like it might be really ablle to go places you're looking at £60m absolute minimum for the pair.Given that Utd are the most indebted football club in the world (and likely to keep that record with UEFAs new financial regulations) you havnt got that kind of money. Given the underwhelming impact Fraizer Campbell made as part of the Berb deal part exchange deals are extremely unlikely. So please, stop deluding yourselves.

@ W F Devil. I really do hope Ganso comes to OT as he's meant to be a special player. I am not doubting your source at all, yet it does seem strange that we would go for a player that is out with a cruciate injury for perhaps 4 months, if not longer. The fact that we practically gave them Possebon does seem suspicious though.

Watched a full programme on Ganso whilst working abroad. Special talent , really special. If he ends up at OT would be very good news. We shall see.

Here is a question I am dying to ask! If you had to choose between Neymar da Silva and Paulo Henrique Ganso, who would it be and why? This is just a friendly little debate because they are the two best young players in the world, in my opinion. Everyone is free to answer, yes even Blair Witch YNWA. But Blair, no more of this LONG LIVE THE GALAZERS crap. I, just like you, am Irish, except I make an effort to go to as many games as I can. I would like to start the debate off with the editor's answer! !
ENJOY! !

@Ganso is the biggest talent and has the most potential, Neymar maybe too lightweight for the Premiership and has a very bad attitude. Ganso is a nice lad and would flourish in the Premiership. Ganso has a 50 million euro clause in his contract, Neymar has a 45 million euro clause in his contract. Both would cost around £30 million each.

Only City could afford them, i expect City to buy Neymar as i expect Tevez, Santa Cruz & Adebayor all to leave next summer. Santos are also trying to buy Lucas & Elano, could they be to replace Ganso?

Well only seen tiny bits on both from Brazil highlights, online Santos footage and youtube. But regarding the Ganso/Neymar debate, personally for us I would have to go for Ganso. Neymar does seem a bit small and over confident and Ganso looks more capable of playing a number of positions across the midfield for us. I think at the prices Neymar would be an expensive luxury, Ganso a possibly fantastic creative addition

G.A.G.U.S {ed's note - that is a tough one, it really depends on which team they end up playing for as to who develops the most. But on pure ability I think Neymar just (and I do mean just) shades it for me.}

In reply to:

To WF red devil - I've heard exactly the same this this morning from my source close to Old Trafford (may even be the same source? ).

Looks like United are actually making an effort in bringing Henrique to Old Trafford - fingers crossed then as he's a player with real quality!

Does your contact/source have the initials PP (obviously I don't want to name him) - could well be the same source.

A lot of incoming players being mentioned here, but players also have to be sold to ease the expenditure.

Park - will NOT be sold, hard working team player. He is basicly a free player because of his shirt and image sales in asia, great asset.

Carrick - Could be used as a cash + player deal to bring the likes of Gareth Bale to Old Trafford. Not the player he used to be, outstanding in 2008 CL. 9mill.

Anderson - A let down by all means, serious potential but can't seem to use it at OT. Strong possibility he will be sold, maybe back to porto. 8mill.

Welbeck - Great young talent, but not proven in EPL. Maybe with 1-2 years first team experience will get him to top form but United can't give him that. 6mill.

Jonny Evans - Showed great potential up to now, having a disaster of a start. Each game he has played they have surrendered leads, maybe he isn't a suitable replacement for Rio, Smalling looks better. 8mill.

Darren Gibson - He's not a young lad anymore, this season he has been given more time but has not showed any more talent. Inevitable that he will be sold. 5mill.

I've just been informed by a very reliable source that United are moving heaven and earth to wrap up a deal with Santos for Paulo Henrique (Ganso).

The only problems I'm being told is that United want to silence Santos and not involve the media in the deal - but Santos have other ideas! They want to create a bidding war if United do indeed submit an official bid. If United do not bid, Santos are happy to keep the player.

Initially United were concerned about potential work permit problems, however they're extremely confident that Ganso will have no problems under the 'exceptional talent' ruling.

The players agent Sabatino 'something' (can't remember exactly what my source said his surname was) has been involved/consulted and Ganso would be very much open to the idea of joining. Initial talks have been going on and it's believed that potential wages, etc, etc have been discussed and all parties are happy at this stage (except obviously Santos). Apparently the player has recently rejected a new contract with Santos, and this is the reason for that rejection.

I'm by no means suggesting that this is a done deal - in fact it sounds like there is a lot more work to be done. Added onto the fact that Santos want to do business differently and open a bidding war, may mean that the outcome of this negotiation being completely different.

My opinion in it all. . . . Honestly not sure whether it would be a good move? Certainly prefer to see Alexis Sanchez at OT, and not seen enough of Ganso to really make a judgement. Also taking into consideration that Santos would want to open a bidding war leave me with little optimism on this deal. Please remember - I'm by no means suggesting that Ganso is GOING to United, I'm just advising that United ARE talking to the player, his agent and the club, are ARE realistically looking at bring the player to OT.

My understanding of the Rooney situation is as follows:

SAF has not made a decision as yet on whether to keep the striker, or not. A new contract was signed to ensure that his value is upheld in any circumstance. If we sell him, it will be for a high fee, if we keep him, we have him on a contract that we can uphold.

Therefore, the rest of the season will be an assessment on his form, character and lifestyle. If he knuckles down, re-captures his form - everyones happy. If he doesn't, and continues to fall deeper into the spiral, then we'll sell under the knowledge that City will pay premium just to 'nick their rivals star player' and think they're issuing a statement of intent to everyone else.

Either way, I believe United are in full control of the situation, and know exactly what they are doing.

As for players being speculated in the media - Sanchez, Defour, Hamsik, Cavani, etc, etc, not sure whether any of these are an actual possiblity. Let's not forget that United use the media to their great advantage, and all these names being linked are giving hope to a lot of fans (this website is proof of that).
