Manchester United are going to be bought by Qatar Billionaires . First hand news , as i am from here and my friends work in the firm who are organizing the trip to Manchester , which is going to take place this month.

I actually heard a similar rumour to this a month or so back and posted something about it happening in September (ed's may verify that) BUT i won't believe it until it happens.... HERBIE {Ed007's Note - You probably did Herbie, a few people have asked/said about it. I thought there might be something in it too and have discussed it at length with 001 and 002 amongst others. I am not saying I know anything (or you know you all would) but it just doesn't seem to go away. I have no idea what this means with regards to the shares floatation, I am sure Syd or someone could explain it better than me. Would the Qataris just buy all the shares that are floated and then offer the Glazers money for the rest of them????}

He's really in Qatar? Mabye he's an alien. Alien's are scary. :o

This maybe true as i have heard that united have paused there application to flot the company as a whole on the asian stockmarket. if united do go on to the stock martet an this billionaire person comes in an trys to buy united then they have to buy the shares an buy united at a a price set by the glazers with would be around 1.5billion as a whole. but with buyin shares then buyin club you would be looking more around the 2.1billion mark. so chances of some1 coming an buyin us while we are on stock market is very low if not impossible, unless u actually have more money than sense. so if united cancel there move to the aisan market then a takeover soon could be on the cards weather united are doing well or not!

O my God not this Qatari buyout rubbish once again. It's not going to happen. I think we should all stop dreaming stick with reality please..

Frigging hell.. this guy posts a completely random post about Qatar billionaires and it gets posted. I put in a post on the banter section about a chance encounter with a college senior while on a business trip to London last summer which makes complete sense and the same doesnt supposedly pass the review stage.. baffling!

Also out in Qatar, (from the UK) and I can verify that this a rumour with legs here. I can't really shed any more light on the supposed takeover except that United has been coveted by various parts of the ruling family here. I think its more a case of which member as opposed to when or if... but then knowing the Qatari way - they probably haven't taken into account the will or want of the Glazers!

Don't the Qataris also have interests in PSG , Malaga and a sponsorship deal with Barca ? I know they have the World cup but surely UEFA wouldn't be too happy with this though as we have seen with the World Cup bids, money talks and these guys always get what they want. I was told earlier in the year it was going to happen in July but as always nowt happened and am fairly sure it will be the same this time around.
The only thing that makes me unsure, is that some of the family are mad reds and I know this as have a relative who served in the Qatari navy and worked for these guys. Then there was the " friendly" that United played over there mid season , was this part of the charm offensive.
Ah well if nothing else it gives us something to debate till the transfer merry go round starts up again.

Did the Glazers set up this Singapore float in a attempt to provoke a response of this kind from the Qataris ? These rumours have been circulating for over a year and there is some truth in them but how much , we don't know.

One things for sure it would be the best possible way to promote their world cup within the footballing world.

Can someone tell Wesley Sneijder to shut up. Now he says Mourinho told him not to sign for United. {Ed007's Note - I saw that over the weekend. Bo****ks!!}

Is this because Mourinho is to be the next City manager and didn't want a top player like him at United esp when he's lined up to be his first signing?

Well, I told him to shut up and he told me to F$%k off..... Charming.... HERBIE

If this is true then I would say it is because Mourinho knows that Sneijder is not a theat to Madrid winning the CL whilst at Inter. HOWEVER if he were playing for us then he would be a big threat and so would we.

Tbh...he said very similar things to what he said before he left United. Who knows in a year or two when he has a year left on his contract we could move for him..

Ive seen you put a sob or groan when the subject of Ross Barkley has been brought up. Do you not rate him or not particularly like him? Or is it just the prospect of having to sift through endless rumours?

That was me Ed and at the time you put *groan* so I didnt know whether you'd had enough of the rumours before they'd started. From the look of it they'll be gathering some pace before long.

I can tell you now, Everton will demand at least 40m for him, he is the best young talent since i can remember and EVERYBODY who has worked with him and rooney says ross has more potential
