1. I don't think Pastore is necessarily lazy, but he is one of the few potential world class players available who can connect our midfield and attack, which is a huge problem for Utd.
2. If we don't need a LW, then what do we need? Giggs out left is a horrifying experience now. Nani is best on the right, and neither bebe nor obertan will make it with the club. We need a LW, and Bale is miles ahead of other options. As for money, I think we'll finally see Utd flex their muscles and buy big. I just hope we don't buy a bunch of decent (10-18mil) players who can play for United but don't improve on what we already have in the squad.
3. I don't think neuer will leave for single digits. Maybe United can get it down to the low teens, but that's about it.

AM: Pastore seems likely now, as United are willing to meet the buyout clause (34mil roughly). Many considered, but SAF feels he's the best option.
LM: Bale (35mil)is the top target and United may spend even more on him than on Pastore. Ashley Young would be the much cheaper option should Tottenham flatly refuse to sell.
GK: Neuer or Da Gea. It seems as if the groundwork for both players has been set and its just a matter of United choosing after the season. 18-20 mil likely.
It may be tempting to list 10 players, but I believe SAF likes the depth in the squad as he has just signed Fletcher, Carrick and Anderson to new deals to cover the DM responsibility. There may be 1 or 2 more players brought in depending on who leaves in the summer, but with quite a few youngsters looking to move into the first team, and with these few expensive additions, United can improve their starting XI significantly while maintaining depth during a transitional period.

Let's forget about Jack Rodwell, if we are shopping at Everton we should be buying Fellaini who is only 2 years older than Rodwell but is physically and mentally stronger than Rodwell. I think he would be an excellent addition to our vanishing midfield. RAINFISHTROMBONE

With Rio forever injured and Vidic loving red cards does anybody think we might need another GOOD central defender. In my opinion Evans is rubbish! Smalling is a great prospect, he needs somebody to play alongside when we are stuck like today. Wes was alright, think hes past it though. Subotic? Cahill?

The Italian media are obsessed with this Pastore to United story. I know United are linked with 20 players every day but this one just seems different. I wonder if theres any chance this could actually be true? {Ed002's Note - There has been interest in Pastore from a number of clubs for some time, including both Chelsea and Manchester United..
