This is a list of players that will and could move in the summer going out will be Vidic Ferdinand Evra Giggs Bebe Anderson Buttner Macheda Nani Amos players that could leave are Lindegaard Young Valencia Hernandez Kagawa Johnston

Believable24 Unbelievable12

Hope Johnstone stays. He could be a number 2 to DDG in a couple of years IMO.

Agree2 Disagree1

Hopefully we can add Tom Cleverley to that.

Agree3 Disagree1

Why would johnstone go if you think amos and lingegard are going? he's a decent young keeper good physique and will do well.

Agree0 Disagree2

Why would Johnstone leave if he just signed a new 3 1/2 year contract a few weeks ago?

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnstone will not leave, he has just signed a new deal and will be third choice behind a new signing. Perhaps Kivrak from Turkey or Schmeical at Leicester.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Lindegaard, Amos, Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Cleverly, Nani, Young, Kagawa, Hernandez and Macheda are all available at the right price / some definitely leaving. I don't think we will manage to get rid of everyone, but there will be a significant amount of players leaving. The more unlikely are Cleverly and probably Young on current form. I'd like Kagawa and Hernandez to stay but I don't see it.

Agree2 Disagree1

I'd like to see Bebe given a chance. From what I've seen he hasn't looked half bad at Pacos.

Agree0 Disagree6

Long as Cleverly and Welbeck are on that list that's the main thing!

Ed002 I have a question, if you would oblige me, if you are around. Vidal we were in for him and it appears we really tried. Do you know what the impediment to us getting him was? If you know, no real need to go into details, money, he just did not want to move, Juve were not prepared to let him go and do you think we will be back in the summer? thank you in advance.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - It was always going to be hard. Juventus would not want to sell nor the player want to move.}

Ed002,

Do you think he is still a target and we will be back for him in the summer? Juve and Vidal would be a lot more open to a sale then?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I don't see Juventus wanting to sell in the summer nor Vidal wanting to move.}

@Ed002

With Vidic and Rio both set to leave at the end of the season could we see 2 center backs come in?

Is there still interest in Garay?

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I was surprised that Garay did not arrive in the transfer window when there was every chance he would. I don't know if interest has now gone. Another option is Andrea Ranocchia. Zouma and Otamendi were also looked at but nothing can happen with either now.}

Ed002, do you expect Garay to move to Zenit? It was rumored that they are willing to pay a higher transfer fee and higher wages but while Benfica are trying to offload him, he is holding out for a transfer here.

Another rumor seems to be going through the newspapers, claiming cavani wants a move to the premier league with us and chelsea interested. If that is true, I see Chesea as the front runners for his services, especially since we might not offer champions league football next term. But if we sold Rooney to Chelsea, would that boost our chances of getting him? I know it's all very circumstantial but still, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Zenit will keep pushing over the coming weeks to get the transfer completed this month. I would think his agent will be sounding out options for the summer before a decision is made as he clearly wanted the MUFC move.

I don't see Rooney being sold to Chelsea. It is fair to say that Cavani's representatives are testing the water whilst they see what happens at PSG in the summer. I would not hold your breath just yet.}

I think its more of Moyes not being able to make his mind up on a player, he was available in January we had the money.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed002, its interesting and I was surprised too. United clearly need a center back, Garay is experienced and wants the United move, is cheaper than Mangala yet nothing seems to have happened.

Perhaps the club feel that bringing him in now would be pointless and want to give him a fresh start from pre season and has given him assurances that we will move for him in the summer?

Cavani really would be an odd signing for us unless RVP is leaving. Don't see RVP and Cavani being able to form a partnership if Rooney leaves.

Its very odd indeed.

Thanks Ed002

Is think smallings has looked suspect this season at cb Jones and Evans and Michael Keane will be a better centre half options than smalling and if let go Keane will have a top career like pique and shawcross.with an experienced cb to guide Jones and Keane, garay astori rami being examples muccsiho kaya Martinez names also mentioned and I've been impressed with dejan lovren

Ed002, do you know why the move didn't happen? Moyes doesn't rate him highly enough perhaps?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Moyes didn't rate Garay that's why the transfer didn't happen.
That was one of his many mistakes when he took over.

Vidic has declared he is leaving United at the end of the season
Great player and I'm grateful he served us well

Believable54 Unbelievable6

Truely iconic centre back. Sad in a way but in fairness to vidic he joined united at the age of 25. He came from the russian premier league, and probably signed a long term contract on joining. Nemanja won't have been earning decent money until his late 20's, and given his accomplishments, and the fact he has his whole life ahead, I do feel he deserves to retire being able to live from career earnings. Management and a career as a pundit are afterall professions that many players fail in.

Of all the ageing players, he may be the only one that we feel a serious loss not having around next season, - but good luck Vidic. An amazing player, that played his peak years through one of the club's best era's. Red Legend.

Agree1 Disagree0

United legend and FIFA god. Thanks Nemanja.

Agree1 Disagree0

. Vidic ain't been the same since Torres done a job on him, decent defender on his day but his best days r long gone, let's get some defenders in the same mould as Stam as we'll never win anything with Evans & Smalling.!

Agree2 Disagree0

Vidic has been earning 4.5 - 5 mill a year for the last number of years, surely he can retire on that? Anyway wherever he ends up (inter etc) he'll surely bag at least a couple of million . I wouldn't worry about his financial position.
He's been a truly top player though - I felt he covered a lot of Rio's / Evra's / Evans' shortcomings. Sadly we don't have any defenders capable of carrying him for a year or two a la John Terry at Chelsea.
