Did I miss this on here? Reported on a fairly reputable website

An administrative error at Manchester United means new signing Andreas Pereira won't be able to play competitive football until next season.

Voetbal International says documents from United detailing Pereira's housing and host family failed to be lodged in time to FIFA and so his release from PSV Eindhoven will not be rubberstamped until the market reopens at the end of the season.

Pereira can still train with United and play in friendlies.

United passed on Shaqiri because they have Gareth Bale in their sights

Believable10 Unbelievable25

I think that we passed on Shaqiri cos he really isnt that good, was ok against us thats it and in other group games against befica and the romanains didnt stand out at all IMO No better than what we have.
SC

Bale was in everyones sights...until he ran so fast out of their view!

In terms of summer transfers, what would we prefer to see:

- Option 1: Spend the budget on Ronaldo.

- Option 2: Sign a good young central midfielder, striker and defender.

- Option 3: Just splash out on a top central midfielder.

RedDevil19

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Option 2.

Get in Eriksen, a striker like example Woldswinkel or whoever and a defender and job done.

Agree0 Disagree0

- Option 4: The club spend it on a party for all users of this site, to celebrate the fact that you didn't mention Barkley and/or Kovacic in your post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Option 1.

Ronaldo and Rooney's partnership is something I haven't seen since Yorke and Cole but Ronaldo and Rooney being better! Watch MUTV, all Ronaldo's goals or all Rooney's goals, when they played together they just seemed to assist each other all the time, frightning!

Midfield to choose from of Cleverley, Anderson, Valencia, Nani, Pogba, Carrick, Fletcher (If fit), Young is good enough to compete.

Defence of Twins, Vidic, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Evra, Fryers is good enough to compete to.

With De Gea having a season under his belt, Lindegaard and Amos as back up I have no concerns there.

I just think recently (Liverpool and Chelsea) we have had lots of possession but no penetration and Ronaldo would bring that and would bring that out in Rooney again!

Bring through a few more kids, Tunncliffe, Pettruci, Norwood etc and we'd be looking good.

Prob won't happen but let's believe!

Ports

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to get rid of players like Giggs, Park, Rio and Evra (great going foward but defensively irresponsible!) and bring in some ample replacements!

cmd

Agree0 Disagree0

Viva ronaldo ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Id buy Ronaldo as it will bring fear back into our team. I would also try and lure Tevez on the cheap from city. We had the best attacking line up in 2008-2009 and in my opinion they've all become better players. Obviously the issues with Tevez could bring problems but would be an awesome signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Although I think ronaldo would be great to have back, the money would much better spent on world class defensive midfielder and defender. sell berb and get rid of the deAd wood of the squad. We need class and spending for the future is the way forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

'lure Tevez on the cheap'......love this kind of stuff - invaluable insight into the mind of Fergie no doubt

Agree0 Disagree0

OPTION 2 ALL THE WAY

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets get some of the young boys thru with 1 or 2 new signings we r close to being gr8 again just a little bit of tweaking in SAF we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

Allow ronaldo he left we don't need him get sum1 like Pedro from barca( he is mad) or Jesus navas. We could buy hummels from dortmund he is a world class defender

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a budget like man city thats what ide prefer

I know he is flavour of the month at the moment but what are peoples thoughts on Mclean from sunderland? In the matches ive seen him play he has so far been reasonably impressive, the key points as to why i like him is that hes another young englishman (i think) but he also possesses a great left foot, something that i feel we need to balance our team at the moment.

JWalk

Believable2 Unbelievable21

He's Irish

Agree0 Disagree0

Northern Irish but yes, looks a decent prospect, need to see more of him before he becomes 'United class' in my eyes though.

GDS

Agree0 Disagree0

He's northern Irish but has chosen to play for the Republic of Ireland. He's got a very good left foot, that automatically propels him above quite a few footballers. Not sure he's our level yet, but does lookin promising.

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

Damn had a feeling he was Irish, though the way the commentators last night went on i figured him for a local lad! Still would like to see him at the club if he carrie son improving!

JWalk

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree he has looked good so far but Sanshine's point sums it up for me. He is correct in saying that being left footed propels him above others but the problem with that is that it was the same with Stewart Downing. Had Stewart Downing been right footed, I dont think he would've gotten anywhere near the England team or earned a £20million move to Liverpool. Being left footed seems to do wonderous things for a players career.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

I really like this guy then to find out he will commit to the republic is even better really a lot of good young talented lads turning to the granny rule not all them but some come the euros we should have mc clean,Coleman,McCarty, long,Westwood, mcgeedy and that ain't talkin about the senior lads really good times ahead for ROI . Would love to see McCarty McLean cleverly and an old head in the middle barking orders now tell me tat ain't exciting.....

Young irish

Agree0 Disagree0

He is irish.full stop.not northern irish.you can be born in the north and have a south of ireland passport and play for the republic if you wish.we give people a choice if they want to be part of the uk or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think James McClean is a star in the making, he has great crossing ability and work's really hard for the team abit like Valencia except Valencia is far quicker and take's his man easier. I wouldn't mind United going in for him in a season or two when he's a little less raw and when Park is passed it. I think he'd give Ashley Young a run for his money for the left wing position.

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

He's only gone for the RoI simply because they have more chance of qualifying for a toiurnamnet than NI do, same reason Gibson and the rest jumped ship. Its about ambition nothing else.

He has impressed in every game i've seen him in.

Agree0 Disagree0

He played for Derry city I believe, he has potential and it's not about granny rule ! Lots of guys want to play for republic that live in 6 counties is actually part of Ireland .Hargreaves born in Canada ....

Some terrible news! Firstrowsports.tv has been taken down by the US.

Rudderpost

Believable14 Unbelievable3

I got on frontrowsports.eu the other day since that notice.
Try lemonsports (0r might be sportslemon)

Supasub

Agree0 Disagree0

A good player, but he hasn't got anything that Robbie Brady hasn't other than experiance. Why spend money on a player when we have someone who is potentially better within our ranks. I'd much rather give Brady his chance, he deserves it.

Shappy

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Supasub.

Uhm Shappy, unless firstrowsports.eu is also the name for a footballer then I think you posted on the wrong thread.

Yeah the septic tanks are getting annoying now, filesonic has gone as well.

That happens sometimes when I reply using my phone. Ah well. Lol.

Download and read up on Sopcast! Streams a much better quality picture! U will have to install an FLV player which are free but well worth it. U can get the streams for the games from another website which i will post later when i turn my computer on.

Definately worth reading up on if ur interested. I thought it sounded suspect at first but once my friend got it eorking, im not looking back :-)

I used firstrowsports for a bit, but the adverts popping up all the time during the match were driving me crazy! Grrrr

Anyway, my fellow united friends, if anyone decides to try it and get it working, post back on here so we can all happily watch the team we love :-)

Has anyone been tuning in the AFCON?

I have to say I have been well impressed with Zambia, especially Mayuka of Young Boys. Quick, strong forward. There captain Katongo has also been immense!

I for one will be cheering them on and hope a lot of the players on that team can earn moves to bigger clubs and push their careers forward!

Sanshine

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Manucho was brilliant in the AFCON a few years back ! He didnt quite work out now did he ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Still is brilliant in the AFCON actually, pretty much carries Angola. Firstly when did I once mention 'sign him', 'we should get him', etc. I didn't. Secondly, just because someone doesn't make it at United that's not to say they aren't very good. Rossi and Forlan are very good examples. So bore off!

Bayern Munich have signed Switzerland forward Xherdan Shaqiri, 20, from FC Basel on a four-year contract commencing this summer.

"Xherdan will strengthen our team from next season with his football intelligence and dribbling", said Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes.

"I have been watching him for some time and I am convinced he can become an important player for the club."

(Copy/paste)
Shaqiri rumours can now stop.

Believable12 Unbelievable2

If this is the case then lads, what do we think about approaching Bayern for 1 of the following?

Toni Kroos
Frank Ribery
Arjen Robben
Bastien Schweinsteiger
Thomas Muller

My first choice would be Schweinsteiger but I'd suggest this would be impossible to pull off but the other 4? I'd be happy with any of them.

I think the relationship between Sir Booby and Beckenbauer would make a deal possible?

Apparently Usami wants to leave them but I don't know what he is like?

Ports

Agree0 Disagree0

Sir Booby !

But seriously, I do agree Bayern would listen to offers for 1 or 2 of your list, not sure which players, but thats a list of top players who will all want to start week in week out....doesn't mean United will be in the mix for them though. God knows what the summer will bring for Uniteds transfer activity. Maybe more Sir Boobies?

Salford C

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, Woops! Sorry Sir Bobby!

Ports

(I think an Ed must of done that on purpose as a joke!) {Ed007's Note - Don't blame us!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

In my opinion they'd only listen to offers for Ribery and Robben. They wouldn't lose Kroos Muller or Schweiny as they are going to be the back bone of their team.

Usami is only on loan at Bayern as far as i am aware.

What about summer bid for Andrés Iniesta of barca.. he is flustrated at barca since arrival of Fàbregas... he has experience.. talented.. and we all know that only xavi and iniesta can take place of scholes..

Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Comment reserved!

Millz

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure he is terribly flustrated, but in my honest opinion I think not.

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

NO, not realistic at all.. Also even if it were possible i'd still say no. This player Iniesta is a leading example of what a player shouldn't be like attitude wise not skill. Not the kind of player i want around our youngsters. Yeah he's good, but the attitude of a player counts for a lot more than some of you seem to think!

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozwald,

If it were possible you would still say no? To one of the top 5 players in the world? Are you kidding me?

The post is ridiculous but mainly because there is zero chance of us signing him, if he was available and wanted to come to us then of course, but never going to happen!

GDS

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozwald, your response is almost as stupid as the actual rumour

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think a player with his attitude would get on well with other players at United, sounds like you guys are used to playing too much fifa where you think you can just buy anyone and they'll just walk in and be exactly the same player they were before they joined.. Don't be so simpled minded! Veron for example is was meant to be something special but did he turn out to be a massive hit? No, if a player doesn't settle well, they don't play well. It's my opinion that he would find it hard to settle for many reasons and this is why i'd say no.

I'm not saying he isn't worthy of us, or that he lacks talent. I also agree he's probably one of the 5 best in the world but how do you know he would be after moving to united? you lot just off in your fairytale world? Huge money, high profile, high risk move that SAF wouldn't risk.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

No doubt he's brilliant footballer, but I want him nowhere near United, he's a scumbag, diving little cheat. I despise him and it wouldn't stop if he came here.

Percy

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you Percy! Someone who feels the same about him, he's really got himself a name for being a dirty player and i hate dirty players.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

If it counts, I agree with Ozwald to an extent. He is no doubt a very good player but he would be expensive & very risky. Not all star players if signed can play for any club. There are soo many things tht matter. Attitude, enviornment, gameplay & the list goes on. Torres is a perfect example of it. Nd so were Forlan & Veron..! Nd totally IMO Iniesta wouldnt just fit in a PL team & I think most of the PL managers would agree or trust me Chelsea/City would hv atleast put in an inquiry. Nd finally Guardiola would't sell him & he wouldn't wanna leave either.
Nd I personally support Real & not Barca. I think they all deserve Oscars!
IBleedBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

So you wouldnt want 1 of the best midfielders in the world at Man Utd......I supose you would prefer Rodwell.....
