can any of the eds shed any light on mullers situation? I think I remember reading that barca would be interested if he was available. thanks

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Barcelona are still interested in Muller. Interest from Manchester City, Lazio and Chelsea seems to have waned.}
But bare in mind Chelsea can not be interested in someone on the Monday, but by Wednesday they are trying to sign them :)
On a serious note a team can become interested at any moment and snatch him from our grasp. Hopefully we can do some quick business.

Ed, do you think that Van Gaal taking over at Old Trafford, would put United in pole position to sign Muller, if he does indeed decided to leave?
Also - hypothetically speaking - United do sign Muller, where do you think he would fit in and who do you think would make way for him?
I would be very interested to hear your thoughts, if you have the time. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I can't answer about "pole position" and you need to give me a break over "hypothetical". But I can say there is real interest in Muller from the club. I postulated about van Gaal but it needed to be deleted - in summary, I don't see an easy ride in the mid-term. He pisses of nearly as many people as me.}
The Bayern camp seem unsettled. I wonder if Pep might be available soon. That would be a transfer of note!

Yeh because were good at that

Thanks Ed.
Indeed, it might be a bumpy ride. Van Gaal will definitely upset a few apple-carts.

Good to hear ed, a few people in that dressing room need upsetting, been coasting on reputation and past glories too long.

Hi ed! Do we have any interest in goalkeepers and strikers? Can see hernandez and possibly welbeck going. Same with lindegaard, top keeper but surely he wants to play more. Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Mandzukic.}

Thanks ed! Would mandzukic be willing to move to the prem? Would be a quality signing imo

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but suspect he would.}
Why do we want another striker (facepalm)

Because he is better than Bambi and Hernandez.

hi Ed002 is there any more information with konoplyanka? or is the player still holding out for a team in the champions league? thanks

{Ed002's Note - I expected to see PSG, Benfica and Arsenal make a bid in January, and possibly Fiorentina, Spurs, Liverpool, Manchester United, Schalke and Dortmund to look Konoplyanka, but it was only Liverpool that made any significant effort. Right now it is Manchester United, PSG, Bayer Leverkusen and Spurs who are showing interest and looking to negotiate a transfer. Liverpool seem to have dropped the interest they had and have not spoken to Dnipro since January. Manchester United has made an offer for him but the player desires Champions League football - although I would not rule out a move to Old Trafford.}

United's move for Southampton left-back Luke Shaw, 19, is in doubt with Louis van Gaal looking at a move for Barcelona's Jordi Alba, 25. A newspaper

Can't see it - Barca are already looking for 2 CBs and potentially a new RB if Dani Alves leaves. I can't see them looking for a new LB on top of all that.
surely just paper talk or agent/player looking for a new contract talk (i would think)

Don't forget that they've also just signed a new keeper. At this rate they'll be replacing everybody apart Neymar and Messi!
