I feel fairly confident in saying that Reus and Muller are van Gaal's top targets for the forward positions. However, I heard a rumor that Kevin Volland would be looked at if one of the above couldn't be got to. Anyone else heard this and what do you make of it / him? I know he is right sided, quick feet and a decent shot but that is about all.

Muller - 51 games, 26 goals, 15 assists

Voller - 41 gams, 15 goals, 11 assists

Voller is three year younger, I must be honest I was surprised o see Muller's stats I didn't realise he was so productive. Rues and Muller would be a fantastic pairing!

Volland a great back up though.

Not sure where he gets it from either, Muller will get a new contract I am 95% sure we will not sign him haha more chance in signing Robben (mind the spelling) Volland would be a good signing mind :)

Interest is there and his comments haven't ruled it out. Why not hope.

Muller would not bring much to Manchester United, as he's in the same mould as Rooney and Van Persie.
He's not as quick and explosive as Rooney, and he's not as deadly in front of the goal as van Persie, BUT, he's much more a creator of goals.
I must say that he would be playing in almost the same spot as both of them, and even in the same spot as Mata and Kagawa.
He's not fast, so playing him on the wings would be a waste.
If, and a big one, we sell Rooney or van Persie, than he would be an excellent choice.

And I never said we will sign him, but he is a target.

Still confident about Reus after reading Ed02 comments?. I'm not

Yes, loads of different sources say different things. I firmly believe that we are going for him.

Reus, on the other hand, has space in the squad.
He's faster than Muller and by far better than Young, Valencia and Nani.
I do believe 2 out of those three will be seeing the exit door.
That said, Reus would be the very first choice if the team plays with wingers next season. Juan and Kagawa are not wingers either, but to accomodate both
van Persie and Rooney.

and no Boca after reading what Ed02 had to say about Reus, it makes sense that we might have to wait to 2015 which is a shame
