UNITED HAVE 3 TOP CLASS CENTRAL MIDFIELDERS, FLETCHER, ANDERSON & SCHOLES. BUT WHEN SCHOLES RETIRES AND I DO NOT THINK IT WILL BE THIS SUMMER, WE WILL NEED ONE OR TWO MORE, NINIS & RODWELL WOULD BE MY BET. RODWELL WANTS TO PLAY IN MIDFIELD AND PART OF HIS AGREEMENT TO JOIN UNITED WILL PROBABLY BE THAT HE WANTS TO PLAY AS A MIDFIELDER, NOT A DEFENDER. HE WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT SIGNING BUT WE WILL NEED TO FORK OUT OVER 20M FOR HIM
*I see your point but lets face it nothing is certain in our midfield. Hargeaves is all but spent, carrick will be sold next summer i would expect and anderson has become somewhat of a myth. Im one of his biggest fans but its yet to be seen whether he will hold down a regular spot in out midfield. Scholes may not retire next summer but he can't be expected to play 40 games a season this year nevermind next. Rio always said he preferred playing in midfield just like im sure ashley cole would like to play up front. Plus i don't see SAF guaranteeing a player a certain position. But regardless of position i genuinely do believe all 3 are realistic possibilities. Just think back to 2007 when the glazers let fergie spend around £60million on 3 players and we only sold heinze and released smith that summer. In the next 12 months its possible we could see both carrick and berbatov depart for transfer fees, add that to the summer budget (hopefully including the ronaldo money that's left) and the glazers could realisitically give fergie an £80million budget. Now im not saying all of this will happen or anything but all im saying is that i don't think its as far fetched as some people would like to believe.

THERE IS ALSO NO CHANCE UNITED WOULD BUY RODWELL AND DEFOUR, UNITED WOULD USE RODWELL AS A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER SO DEFOUR WOULD NOT BE NEEDED.
*I disagree. We need 3 top class central midfielders for europe atleast. The 3 being fletcher, rodwell and defour would be our central midfield for the next decade. Plus Sir Alex would likely see Rodwell as a long term central defender in the Rio Ferdinand mould to partner Smalling.
