Quite a few reports about united trying to buy Fernando from Porto in the Portuguese press. I was wondering if any of the eds knew if it was true
{Ed002's Note - There has been a little twist to the saga of Fernando. Fernando has recently become a Portuguese citizen and is desperately looking to force his way in to either national side in time for the World Cup. Whilst a move to Italy where Napoli and Fiorentina remain keen is possible, the signing on fee asked of Fiorentina has come as a real shock to them and Inter dropped their interest when made aware of teh fee. A number of other clubs have declared an interest and certainly Everton and Manchester United are included, but I really don't know of confirmed interest from Liverpool - but it would make some sense. Porto would like to keep him if a deal can be agreed - and that might be back on the table now his citizenship has been confirmed.}

ESPN are reporting that were in talks for Mata and Vidal. I just wonderd if any of the ede knew how true this was
