Hojlund has regressed since Ruud and Macarthy departed. No one is developing him now and his positional sense has deserted him as its not being reinforced week in week out. I wouldn't sell, but I would get someone he can learn from, so in that sense ypu need a proven top player, Osimhen or Kane are the only options who can cut ot straight away, Delay is only learning himself whilst David if available is only French proven and that's a worry for me.
The crux of our problems are in transition and creation. Sort out the spine in the centre, and upfront, don't meddle too much (this constant need for rebuilding is a smoke screen, it's 4 players away from being a squad thay fits Ruben's system and it's time to deliver next season.
By the way, anyone else notice Rashford lose the ball for PSGs second last night, and then amble back without a care in the world. If he had done that at United as he always did we would be be crucified in the press but at Villa, not so much a murmur.
I wonder when Amorim is going to create a siege mentality around all the negativity and get into the players heads that the media and the Premier League are all ABUs and leverage that to our advantage.
I hope when he gets the right players for his setup he puts the hammer down and really sets our stall out. I've seen some great fast passing link up play in transition fail due to poor creativity, poor vision of obvious passes and really poor movement by the forwards.
Get that right and we will be properly dangerous as a unit.

I would not go for Osimhen. He's a Pogba character in that he is also a maverick like Cunha but he will go against the employers who made him what he is for selfish reasons and Cunha signed a deal when he couldn't left for free this year and hasnfought for the shirt.
Does remind me of Rooney, Cantona and don't forget Beckham who had a temper also. Those type of players who are hard to beat hate losing and loyal as anything are the mindset we need at the club. Don't recruit based on ability alone look for mentality monsters, not shrinking violets.
{Ed001's Note - Osimhen fell out with Napoli over them posting up a racist tweet about him. Hardly selfish reasons!}

He just was. In the top 3 goal contributors under 21 category across all major leagues.

Anyone recall the scouser selling Coutinho and also Suarez. Didn't work out bad did it?
And at £0 book value, as of the end of his original deal before resigning with bush that's £600m of amortised spend.
As good as Bruno is figures wise, we overly dependent on his decision naming which is often suboptimal.
The serious issue is how well would we now spend such a war chest. I'm not convinced we would do it wisely enough, and I kind of like the new mentality of needing value and not splashing money everywhere, it's not worked, ever!

We are more likely to go for Suzuki who we could not convince to come and be understudy to DeGea, but would come now for circa $45m. Very solid shot stopper, commands his box and has great distribution.
As for Palmer, h3s a boyhood fan and would jump at the chance if a deal was possible, which it just isn't this year. But in fairness garna and mainoo are 2 years behind him, almost 3 in development, who's to say they wouldn't surpass him by that point.
