Rabiot is one the most overrated lazy and quiet frankly awful players i have ever had the displeasure of watcing. was laughing at Arsenal earlier for being linked with such a clown show but it turns out he is actually coming here. another one we'll struggle to move on in 12 months time. Ten Haag might be a fantastic coach but its so obvious he is way out of his depth, 99% of his targets are players who play in the very weak Dutch league or players he has worked with in said super weak league. A recipe for guaranteed faliure. I mean Tadic and Ziyech look like world beaters over there and both were/ are out of their depth in the PL. But hey let's get him Gakpo, de Jong, Depay, make weed leagal and change name to Ajax Utd two.

Tadic and Ziyech were also in the ajax team managed by Ten hag that got to the champs league semi final beating real madrid, bayern and Juventus.

I’m not sure it can be put down to the country they come from, it’s the calibre of player from within that country that matters…. and let’s be fair we not looking at elite players from any country, rightly so probably because they would not come anyway, so we are fishing in a different pool, I just wish we would cast our net out a bit further and not only look at players who had previous affiliation with Ten Haag, because maybe they just not good enough and hopefully now Ten Haag as seen that first hand and got humbled the penny may have dropped.

There in lies the problem, we do need better then OK though…
Rabiot is better then what we got, so I see no problem there, least we all seen him play and he been in some big teams… and not a lot of money! And we know what we get!
I would be more worried about Martinez, hugely over priced, let’s be fair no one seen very much at all of him, I don’t see him as a centreback at all, so that’s a worry
New young left back, is a gamble but a worthwhile one, so no problem there
Eriksen, again you know what you get, so can understand it.
I would personally say Rabiot better then anything we got and anyone we recently purchased so I really don’t see the problem, is he great no, but then who is Great at united! It appears to be where we are at, and until ETH proves different that’s where we are…. Mind you Poch is always waiting! I do think he would have looked at different sort of players maybe sexier names, but it is what it is, some climb aboard, strap in and be ready for a bumpy ride.

Not to mention Sancho on 250K a week and Casimero on 350K a week with 2 years still to go on his deal. These players will only move if they can get the same wages elsewhere.
Sancho f. eks (Juventus are offering to cover 100K of his weekly wages) and united have to cover 150K a week for the season loan.
Its very very costly to get rid of players on huge wages that are not justified on the pitch and that almost no team want due to their huge wages. Antony came from the Dutch league, why is he getting 200K a week when he was getting 25K a week at ajax. Couldn't 100K convince him? Shocking really.

It has to do with the wages they are paid. F. eks Antony gets paid 200K a week, and has 4 years left on his contract, no other team in the world would pay him those wages so if Utd were to sell him and the buying team are only offering Antony 100K and there are no other offers and Utd really want rid, they'll have to pay the remaining 100K a week for the remainder of his 4 year contract. Never pays off to give players the huge wages utd pay. McTominay gets 60K a week so i doubt there are the same problems there but it might be the loyalty bonus of 5% of the transfer fee he is looking for because as far as i know he never asked for a move.

but he is a player Ajax scouted when playing with Antony when playing for brazil U-23 in the olympics, which still means Ten Haag will only sign players he has worked with before or players that have been scouted for Ajax. Super scary.

Maresca had a squad built for his style, a 1 billion £ +++ squad mind you, Klopp left behind a PL and CL challenging side and Slot played a very similar style at Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar before that. Amorim has NEVER played anything other that 3-4-2-1 or 5-4-1 or 3-4-1-2 and this squad is not built for that, pointless comparison imo.

Alisson (Best GK in the world probably) been injured most of the season.
Jota (The 1st choice striker) Have missed the last 7 or 8 games.
Elliot (The only other attacking MF who can play instead of szoboszlai who have been dropped lately) missing all season
Chiesa (The only signing they made to relieve the pressure from Mo Salah in years) been injured most of the season and Salah has overplayed.
Konate (Have missed 3 or 4 games)
Arnold (Have missed 3 or 4 games and now injured again)
just excuses as usual.
