Alright lads.

Liverpool fan in piece.

Was just going through my Twitter feed and a really moving article came up about a United fan who lost his Dad, they used to go the match together.

It's called " United with Dad" and if you google it, the first one that comes up under Joe. co. uk leads you to the story.

It's really worth a read chaps and it hits home, there's more to life than football at the end of the day.

Drogie.

Thanks mate will read that.

Cheers Drogie.

Nice on drogie.

Thank you Drogie.

So boys. Bit of banter here from Drogie.

At old Trafford away last season, us kopites in the upper east stand were subject too the chorus of.

🎵
You've got Van Dijk, Virgil van Dijk. I just don't think you understand. 75 mil, he's just a s*** Phil, you've got Virgil van Dijk. 🎵

Will you be singing the same about Harry Maguire? I'll certainly be listening intently when I'm sat in your ground on the 19th October 😂😂.

It’s good of Drogie here to point out that it’s banter he’s up to because otherwise we might have mistaken it for the bluster of a man who knows livepool are about to return to their default position underneath Man Utd come the new season, eh lads?

2.) 02 Aug 2019 20:02:55
He supports a team who won the champions league without being champions of their own country since 1990, oh the irony 😂.

3.) 03 Aug 2019 03:14:20
1990 Ole?
So that’s a good. what. 30 years without a PL title?
30 years without being crowned Chamions of England?
30 years as also rans?
30 years of not being quite good enough?

Wow I’d be embarrassed if I were a Liverpool supporter.
But then I’d also rather be fired into space where my body could freeze and disintegrate into a billion pieces. before I’d choose to be a Liverpool supporter.

I guess some clubs set low expectations for themselves. 😂.

4.) 03 Aug 2019 07:13:27
Whilst you talk about the 90’s, I was saying exactly the same about United back then, 26 years with no title, until the saviour, the riches of the Premier League

Oh the irony as you put it, people in glass stones and all that 😂😂.

5.) 03 Aug 2019 11:51:49
At least we have won the league since then 😂.

So, it's Drogie here from the Liverpool Rumours site.
What's your thoughts on Sunday?

I think it's a good time to play us, we always look a bit disjointed when we come back from a training camp abroad - and not played for a while. I was at the Bayern game last night and that certainly seemed to be the case again IMO.

I work with a few red mancs over in Hilton Street ( Manchester ) But can never get a balanced view from them when it comes to our encounters. All pages have some good posters so it's interesting to hear your view points.

Drogie

1.) 20 Feb 2019 10:06:28
Drogie- not just a "through tinted glasses" view but I think we will win on Sunday. I reckon the progress we have made, the style we now play and the confidence will see us winning 2-1. You aren't firing as well as early on and have had a few injuries at the back which tbh shows the vulnerability of your defense (Strength in depth) Will be a good game I reckon but not necessarily a classic as both obviously don't want to lose with yous probably more at risk of losing out in the title race.

2.) 20 Feb 2019 10:12:52
Form always goes out the window drogie when it comes to massive games like this. I think we are full of confidence whilst you look a bit disjointed as you said. But it shows how far you guys have come when your disappointed at drawing with Bayern Munich. I’m not sure what it is this season but you are not as free flowing as last season. Definetly more solid but something lacking going forward.

I would be far more confident if martial and lingard were fit. Yes we were fantastic the other night against Chelsea but Liverpool are a different kettle of fish. I just hope it’s a free flowing attacking game because the last few have been a bit dire. I’m going for a united 2-1 win but I wouldn’t be surprised if we drew.

3.) 20 Feb 2019 10:49:51
No result would surprise me this weekend but that shows how far we have come as nothing other than a heavy defeat would have surprised me before Ole (BOGS as i like to call it) .

Sacrificing the cups was meant to be a way of concentrating on the league but it seems to have just created huge gaps between fixtures which make it impossible to get any momentum going. 3 wins in your last 8 games is not title winning form and I feel you need to win on Sunday to have any chance of winning the title, hopefully this plays into our hands and we pick you off, but as mentioned earlier, no result would surprise me and without Lingard and Martial we certainly have our work cut out, we look better away from home at the moment in my opinion.

4.) 20 Feb 2019 12:06:39
I cannot be 100% objective. Any points we take from you is a win for me. I think we will win 2-0 but more scrappy than the Cheslea game.

5.) 20 Feb 2019 12:20:31
Dougie, it's always hard to call the United/ Liverpool games. They are a derby game and as such form goes out the window.

On one side we are at home and on a good run of form, while Liverpool could be set to wobble. However, Liverpool are above us in the league and have two years of good form behind them. So it is too close to call. We will know more after the first 15-20 minutes on Sunday as to who has turned up and who is wobbling.

What I can say is I haven't been happier or more confident heading into the game for about 6 years.

6.) 20 Feb 2019 13:20:00
We beat Chelsea played OK in parts, sat back in the second half, matic did well but it was heart 8n mouth stuff when he was on a yellow, we must forget that city trashed them, and to be honest Liverpool are up there with them, I would be happy with a draw, but being honest I wouldn't be on us to win this one.

7.) 20 Feb 2019 19:03:48
Drogie, i think Liverpool played quite well against bayern totally controlled the 2nd half but the final ball or finishing was poor.
Mane is in fine form and him and robertson cause all teams problems.
From a united point of view i agree with shappy jessie is a very big miss for us and martial can win a game with a piece of brilliance so a big loss.
It means we can't set up in our preferred formation.
Both teams need the 3 points if we win the title is out of your own hands and i predict it will be a slippery slope for you from then on and city will go on to win the league. I think if we win it will consolidate our 4th position and give us that 1 point advantage over arsenal and chelsea.
If Liverpool win it could well be the fillip they need to win the title and it will but us back into a chasing position.
All to play for i think we will win 8 nil.
I can only be objective for so long😂.

8.) 21 Feb 2019 05:33:04
I worry about the Liverpool's attack to be honest.
If they target Young and Smalling we could be in trouble.
But we have confidence and momentum going into the game.
A win would be absolutely massive.

LFC season ticket holder/ fan in peace lads.

As much as the man has been a thorn in my side since the 92 season, good to see Fergie fit and well in the stands today.

Anyway, was so surprised Jose decided to bring on Felllani as apposed to Pogba.
And why bring on Martial so late, yes he's been injured but he's been a shining light for you this season.

Drogie

1.) 17 Dec 2018 11:05:01
Your guess is as good as mine mate.
On pogba, he struggles against anyone who presses, so maybe the thought with Fellaini was to play over the press. I’m not sure.

2.) 17 Dec 2018 11:13:49
In a nut shell? Jose Mourinho is the anti-hero alter ego of Neil Warnock. So of course he isn't going to use his best players, rather his tallest, strongest most thug like ones.

Hmasson2 - I thought the same as you mate, so I decided to have a quick scan back and actually, most were saying they’d be gutted if he signed for Spurs ???.

As a Liverpool fan, we were simply not good enough when Salah went off injured so I’d absolutely hate it if we were given the trophy for being second best.

On Ed25’s point, blaming LFC for not winning the European Cup. I thought we were branded “ the delusional ones”. 😂

There are no guarantees in life, let alone football, so to say “we’d have won one had it not been for Liverpool Football Club “ is totally absurd. As we all know, the best team doesn’t always win. We weren’t the best team in 2005 but we were when we lost in 2007. Porto certainly weren’t the best team in the competition when they won the European cup under Mourinho.

Ed25, Everton have had 28 years since the ban from European football to win the European Cup and 30 years prior to that somcecthe competition was formed. That’s a total of nearly 60 years.

You talk a lot of sense mate, not on this occasion 😜.

Drogie

{Ed025's Note - i have to blame someone drogie...and who better than LFC mate.. :)

Interesting scenario.

Daniel Levy said he’d never deal with United again after Ferguson tapped up Berbatov back in 2008.

Stan - Not sure how old you are.

United have had their fair share of waiting for the league - longer than Arsenal and just short of Liverpool’s 30 year wait.

Seagull. You’re clearly not from Manchester with that comment, talk the walk from Piccadilly to St Anne’s square and you’ll get my drift.

Ironically enough, United fans are now very few and far between visiting the LFC page “ in peace “ - I’ll say no more.

And AJH, you and I have had a couple of chats, I remember you saying you live in Culcheth. But whilst there are a few from our page that pop over to your site on the wind up, the same can also be said your side too mate, we’ve experienced our fair share of morons from your site “giving it “ over the years. It’s just one of those things I suppose

I totally agree with you Ed004, it’s always good for decent discussions between apposing fans/ sites.

Very true Ed001.

My ex girlfriend is from Barcelona and we used to visit her family over there really often. Whilst I didn’t go with her when watching LFC ( v Barcelona ) we went to a couple of league to watch Barcelona and got tickets no problem.

Love the city and an amazing stadium.

Drogie

{Ed001's Note - never actually been to Barcelona but me ma loves it there. Bit out of my budget to be honest.}
