Not really a poster but have been a long time reader. First proper transfer window without the wonderful Ed002. Hated not having his insight he would lend us. Found myself getting too caught up in the typical nonsense of the transfer window and really missed his to the point, no guff, abundance of knowledge he would lend us.

They were 1 min late with a signing a few days previous. It would be against the spirit of the game to appeal we are not appealing not should we.

Howard Webb was terrible for MLS and he is equally terrible in his role at the EPL. His leadership leads to pure incompetence and arrogance from refs. Notice how his timing 3 years ago and how the standards and consistency have completely dropped since then. Polar opposite results (from the same refs when he was in charge) in MLS since he has left as they have dramatically improved and have more parity.

Great energy and performance last night. Shame we didn't score more so hopefully Hojlund will start demanding the ball more from everyone else. He usually plays an unselfish ball to keep everything moving but I can not remember the last time he received the ball back in the box. Pretty obvious our goal scoring issues when you can't find your #10 in the box but keep picking out Scott McTominay and wingers on our crosses.

There was about 3 or 4 occasions where another player drifted in front of Hojlund when the ball came in and the took it off it foot/ head. He's in the right positions, its just that the other players haven't worked out how to play with him yet.

Agreed Shappy. In my view he’s got it and once he scores and his team mates sort him out I see a great future for him. Really like him.

There’s a reason mctominay is getting space in the box. Unlike martial, Hojland occupies defenders and makes movements that pull them.
The goals are coming in the PL for him no doubt. He was excellent with his pressing yesterday too.

Agreed Shappy. For being only 20 years old, already seems like one of our more professional players. I wish ETH would give Hojlund the next PK as well. Just get the first Prem goal out of the way and hopefully the rest fall into place.

The real issue with Onana is it seems like he left his glasses in Milan. Keepers can not make the mistakes he has this season without serious questioning. His price tag makes it much more of an issue. Hopefully he finds form soon.

There's only two ways about it anymore. Either the people at their job are so woefully inept they keep making errors. In which case I'd be fired my job long, long ago for performances like that. The other option is there is money under the table to refs (Barcelona under investigation for this very thing) . I can't believe at the highest level refs are this bad, which makes it sadly that money is involved for these shocking errors that happen week in week out. I watch all sports as well and these shocking decisions are not unique to only the PL. Too much money in the game, only makes sense that people pay for an advantage.

Another multi billionaire owner with a track record of having the teams he owns fire their coach nearly every year. Including the 2nd place OGC Nice last year, his teams only finished top 5 twice in 10 seasons (Plus 2 relegations) . I've no idea how anything good will come of this. Fingers crossed I suppose.

I never post as I do not like to debate online, specifically because of people like you Utd Road. It has to be said though: Stick to twitter or anything else if you don't appreciate all the time, effort and energy Ed002 and the rest of the Eds give to us. Pathetic attitude you have.
