Never going to happen imo. That means those 2 are worth 60 mill. if that's the case why not sell them for 60 and just offer a 100 mill for rice if the club really wants him or even offering what the papers are saying.

Surely the club are already aware given recent international get together whether Rice wants to come to us or not. Shaw must surely have spoken to him. If he hasn't then the club have been very remiss. If he has stated, for whatever reason, he prefers not to join us then we must move on swiftly and look elsewhere. Beginning to smell Like the FDJ saga all over again. Simple really surely?

Lets be honest rice is not worth a 100 mill. Ugarte is a better player for me and he went to PSG for a lot less. Even Thuram is much better value than rice, who Liverpool are looking at getting and great piece of business by them if they get Mcallister and Thuram.
Considering Bellingham went for less how can anyone value rice at these figures. He is 50/ 60 mill player and that's being generous.
As a club we have done so many stupid inflated transfers and this would be up there with them.
This is typical arsenal stuff who tend to match us in the stupidity column, let them have him.

Of course £100m+ is a lot for Rice. But whilst paying for potential is a grey area Rice is clearly a leader as we see week in week out. Something this side is lacking massively. He is far far more than £50m in my opinion.

I think the leadership in the middle of the park is something we really need. Bruno isn't a leader, he's a Karen in a football kit (great player, just not a real leader) .
100m is excessive, but that's how it goes. No way Maguire and Elanga worth 60m, but that doesn't mean West Ham won't take the deal. If they get 100m, teams will know they have money and they will end up paying over the odds, so they could end up paying 60m or more for players no better than Magure and Elanga. If these two fit what West Ham are looking for, it might be a reasonable deal for them.
It would be a really good deal for us too, so it could be a case of everyone involved doing well out of he deal.
That said, I'm not saying it's a sure thing or anything, just that it's not as absurd as some people might think.

I prefer ambrabat/ rabiot at fraction of the cost and spend money elsewhere that is more urgent.

Watching Wout yesterday, the guys legs move in slow motion and he looks so awkward, I know he puts an effort in but quite embarrassing for a club like United to resort to players of his caliber.

Martinez is exactly what we’ve been lacking for some time.
He almost reminds me of dare I say it, Vidic. He never seemed afraid to throw himself in. He’s beginning to become my new favourite player.
Personally, league cup or not, this will only make them want more and I’m excited for the first time in a lot of years to see where this will go.

If the club did know about this all along, then who and where does the buck stop at/ with. What happens next. Surely there must be some people leaving the club if that is the case.
But you’re very right, players believe their own hype and are in the own worlds.
Without this sounding bad, I hope if it’s true that he has done what I’ve read then the usual trial by social media doesn’t derail the proper investigations.
