"Barcelona and Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 28, has emerged as a target for Manchester United. (Football Insider) "
Just emerged this apparently ?.

Thanks for nudging the Amass post down with a bit of nostalgic humour Key.

Couple of days ago it was reported that FdJ has agreed a new contract with Barce until 2029 on reduced wages.
Given his known desire to stay at Camp Nou, on a scale of nought to a thousand on the credibility scale I would struggle to give this rumour a score of more than 2.
3.) 26 Sep 2025 18:21:35
The modern day Wesley Sneijder.

Some transfer rumours are like a boomerang, quickly thrown out there but will soon return.
With the position our clubs holds in the world we get linked to far more than most clubs as it garners more attention. Often linked to a player who is negotiating a new deal, no doubt the media have found this information via the players agent or intermediaries. While other times our name is linked to a player who is looking for a move and they want to broadcast that to as many clubs as possible, so being linked to Manchester United makes more people sit up and pay attention to them. Then there are the quiet news week links, when there isn't much to report so the same name gets dragged up and reprinted as being of "interest" to Manchester United. It's just a throw away article designed as click bait.
Be that Strootman, Sneijder, Gaitan, or now Frenkie de Jong. Apparently we have something for Dutch players ?.

Arriving with Strootman and Gaitan.

My friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream.
It is a dream deeply rooted in the United dream.
I have a dream that one day this team will rise up and live out the true meaning of 3-4-3.
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of the Trafford Centre, former players and the sons of former players will be able to sit down together at the table, and not have to criticise the team to earn a living.
I have a dream that my two children will finally see Wesley Sneijder grace the hallowed turf at Old Trafford, that Sesko will score a goal, and that we will at last have a goalkeeper who doesn’t create panic whenever the ball is near them. I have a dream.

Instead we live a nightmare!

1.) 15 Nov 2021 17:27:06
Lol god help them.
2.) 15 Nov 2021 17:32:24
Danny Pugh.

Hopefully he'll bring Phelan with him.

Wonder what all those Arsenal fans that thanked us last week are thinking.

Well there you go: Manchester United have sacked manager Ruben Amorim, with Darren Fletcher set to take charge for Wednesday's Premier League game against Burnley.

Rooney available too, him and Carrick can fill the gaps. Can't be much worse!

I imagine a wage cut will be part of it as his on field time will likely drop but a solid professional to have around.
26 Sep 2025 18:21:35
The modern day Wesley Sneijder.
03 Sep 2025 18:54:56
Class gesture too.

Amazing profit for them too.
28 Jan 2026 07:05:14
The most important thing is getting another 3 wins so that lad can cut his hair. Carrick would go down as a hero.
23 Jan 2026 18:44:31
Oh are we meant to be building it? That'll keep costs down. Everyone bring a brick each game.
21 Jan 2026 06:31:20
We scarred them, would've been an easy win last night if we hadn't beaten them ;)
18 Jan 2026 13:04:14
Might be a bit short for a keeper ?.
18 Jan 2026 11:25:49
Thought the same and the only graphic I've seen of the 3rd was showing the defender next to him, not the one in the middle who would've been the one playing him onside. It was weird watching how long it went on for to decide without really any explanation.
