"Barcelona and Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 28, has emerged as a target for Manchester United. (Football Insider) "
Just emerged this apparently ?.
1.) 26 Sep 2025 07:23:54
Thanks for nudging the Amass post down with a bit of nostalgic humour Key.
2.) 26 Sep 2025 15:01:38
Couple of days ago it was reported that FdJ has agreed a new contract with Barce until 2029 on reduced wages.
Given his known desire to stay at Camp Nou, on a scale of nought to a thousand on the credibility scale I would struggle to give this rumour a score of more than 2.
3.) 26 Sep 2025 18:21:35
The modern day Wesley Sneijder.
4.) 27 Sep 2025 09:53:15
Some transfer rumours are like a boomerang, quickly thrown out there but will soon return.
With the position our clubs holds in the world we get linked to far more than most clubs as it garners more attention. Often linked to a player who is negotiating a new deal, no doubt the media have found this information via the players agent or intermediaries. While other times our name is linked to a player who is looking for a move and they want to broadcast that to as many clubs as possible, so being linked to Manchester United makes more people sit up and pay attention to them. Then there are the quiet news week links, when there isn't much to report so the same name gets dragged up and reprinted as being of "interest" to Manchester United. It's just a throw away article designed as click bait.
Be that Strootman, Sneijder, Gaitan, or now Frenkie de Jong. Apparently we have something for Dutch players ?.
5.) 27 Sep 2025 10:38:53
Arriving with Strootman and Gaitan.
6.) 27 Sep 2025 10:42:19
My friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream.
It is a dream deeply rooted in the United dream.
I have a dream that one day this team will rise up and live out the true meaning of 3-4-3.
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of the Trafford Centre, former players and the sons of former players will be able to sit down together at the table, and not have to criticise the team to earn a living.
I have a dream that my two children will finally see Wesley Sneijder grace the hallowed turf at Old Trafford, that Sesko will score a goal, and that we will at last have a goalkeeper who doesn’t create panic whenever the ball is near them. I have a dream.
7.) 27 Sep 2025 14:14:51
Instead we live a nightmare!
8.) 27 Sep 2025 14:45:21
Nightmare? Much like keeping up with your different login passwords Anotherupset, hence the timing of your post. Bet you couldn't wait to find your current login details.
15 Nov 2021 15:17:58
Carrick to replace Gerrard at Rangers..! Which ex-player will we get in to replace him if that happens...
1.) 15 Nov 2021 17:27:06
Lol god help them.
2.) 15 Nov 2021 17:32:24
Danny Pugh.
3.) 16 Nov 2021 15:51:35
Hopefully he'll bring Phelan with him.

Looked alright that system. Should do it like that again.
1.) 04 Oct 2025 18:00:20
It’s the away games we seem to be struggling with, can’t really complain about the home performances so far this season. We need to play Ugarte and Cas in central midfield in the away games to make the midfield a bit more solid. I can’t blame Kobbie if he wants to leave (on loan only) in Jan with it being a World Cup year. Bruno will start every game.
2.) 04 Oct 2025 19:14:44
System looked good until Sunderland matched then we couldn’t adapt.
Good result and keeper looks solid.
3.) 04 Oct 2025 19:27:13
Let's credit the system when it wins two games in a row shall we?
4.) 04 Oct 2025 19:47:51
Will take the positive spin of three in a row at home.
Not that it needed changing in this one but it does show, opposition manager makes a change in game to nullify. Ok maybe we didn't need to push as much then but least he changed something to try. That's my worry when we inevitably don't score first.
5.) 04 Oct 2025 20:20:49
Yes, when Arsenal sat back back with 70 mins to go at 1-0 up it was a masterclass.
01 Sep 2025 11:09:50
ETH gone too, could have an ex-manager reunion from recent sackings.
1.) 01 Sep 2025 12:03:29
Surprised Jose lasted so long.
2.) 01 Sep 2025 12:09:55
Was the boards response to him asking them to sign Anthony and onana apparently.
3.) 01 Sep 2025 13:24:33
That gave me a good laugh Burren way boy. It's a disgraceful decision by Leverkusen though. I think they've lost 8 starters from last season. They won a game in the cup and lost to Hoffenheim 2-1 and drew 3-3 in their last game. I was really hoping to see him do well. He made some really poor signings here, but he won two cups with an incredibly imbalanced squad. Hopefully he bounces back.
4.) 01 Sep 2025 13:40:16
DonRed. Sometimes, you just know right away that somebody isn’t going to be a good fit. In those situations, why wait until the season has been written off to do something about it? Failure to correct a mistake decisively can make things a lot worse. Besides. I’m sure he’ll get another nice payout out of this.

Presumptuous email from United. I like the confidence.
The draw for Round 4 of the Emirates FA Cup will take place live on Sunday 12th January after our Round 3 game against Arsenal.
If we are drawn to play at home, tickets will be available for United Members to apply via ballot at tickets. manutd. com. Ballot applications will open at 10am on Tuesday 14th January.
1.) 10 Jan 2025 17:17:25
The did the same before the Carabao Cup game against Spurs, maybe that is an omen?
2.) 11 Jan 2025 12:12:57
They do it before every single cup game so if it was an omen we would win every cup.
3.) 11 Jan 2025 19:28:26
The last one said:
The draw for the Carabao Cup semi-final will take place after our game vs Tottenham tonight live on Sky Sports. If we win and therefore progress, the semi-final will be played over two legs, home and away.
That was the point, this latest one didn't have the 'if we win'.
4.) 12 Jan 2025 18:22:09
Well, it worked!
17 Sep 2024 22:46:34
Erik seven Hag.
25 Jul 2021 22:27:32
Anyone seen the show Ted Lasso from Apple TV?
Light hearted football (or soccer! ) comedy and if you haven't, it's worth a watch. Second season just started.
I'm sure it's done so that every fan can relate things to their team, but a 'nice guy' manager with a peculiar accent that helps team morale but has questionable tactics and (spoilers) doesn't get the fairytale ending. Maybe Ole needs a moustache!
1.) 26 Jul 2021 01:20:49
I relate to Nathan personally.
{Ed0666's Note - I relate to Biggy Small…Nathan but penetration!!!
2.) 26 Jul 2021 09:59:21
I watched the first few episodes then Apple tried to make me pay for the rest, so I didn't. Does look funny though.
If we are doing TV recommendations, Clarkson's Farm is very good.
3.) 26 Jul 2021 10:46:58
Clarkson’s farm is epic! It’s crazy what all he manages to get done. Each character in that show sort of fits in perfectly well.
4.) 26 Jul 2021 11:22:07
Started Clarkson's farm after Ted Lasso, loving that so far too. (Yes, it was a productive weekend - roll on the new season! )
If you can somehow get to watch the rest of Ted Lasso, it is worth it. Roy Kent is my personal favourite - wonder who they modelled him on.
5.) 26 Jul 2021 12:26:25
Clarksons farm was great.
In my paternity leave I’ve started the sopranos.
6.) 26 Jul 2021 12:31:02
Yes Ed0666! 👊.
7.) 26 Jul 2021 13:21:39
Caolan, nothing compares to The Sopranos. The Wire comes close. Nothing else comes close. The Messi and Ronaldo of boxsets ðŸ˜
Hope you're getting plenty of rest on paternity leave. You have earned it after all 😉.
8.) 26 Jul 2021 13:53:43
Breaking Bad is right up there too, and the very underated 'The Americans" - one of the best finales ever . Better call Saul up there too of course.
9.) 26 Jul 2021 14:18:11
Nou thankfully he’s sleeping really well so touch wood that continues!
10.) 26 Jul 2021 15:41:22
The Sopranos and The Wire are must see’s! Boardwalk empire is brilliant too.
11.) 26 Jul 2021 16:26:57
Rick and Morty, funny, clever and sick.
David Simon who wrote The Wire is just a brilliant writer, Generation Kill and Show Me A Hero are worth tracking down.
Oz was a pretty good show as well.
Anything with Mr Clarkson in is turned off immediately.
12.) 26 Jul 2021 20:11:00
Treat yourselves to 'Halt and Catch Fire' if you haven't already seen it. Brilliant.
13.) 26 Jul 2021 20:18:19
A very different pair, Breaking Bad and Manifest.
09 Oct 2025 09:20:25
I imagine a wage cut will be part of it as his on field time will likely drop but a solid professional to have around.
26 Sep 2025 18:21:35
The modern day Wesley Sneijder.
03 Sep 2025 18:54:56
Class gesture too.
14 Aug 2025 22:00:31
Amazing profit for them too.
09 Aug 2025 15:02:04
Won't be the last time we see RA in that jacket, I know that for a fact.
04 Oct 2025 19:47:51
Will take the positive spin of three in a row at home.

02 Oct 2025 20:58:43
I think that's just the hair style.
01 Oct 2025 13:46:14
Gary Neville knows everything, get him in.
29 Sep 2025 10:16:28
I don't know why, but I read this as if you were Bruno Fernandes.
28 Sep 2025 06:57:33
Will green, so changing the man doesn't necessarily change the system.
