Surely not not letting slot walk alone mango.

Mango

One thing missing in your assessment. Imagine the players who won the league in summer, bet they felt not good enough because suddenly it wasn’t a tweak here or there, it was £400m worth of shiny new superstar players. Suspect existing players may be thinking, Slot just thinks I am here to run around for the “important” superstar” players, so, go on you are the £120m player, win the game you don’t need me, I won’t be playing next week. It’s the danger of doing such a big window.

Is Liverpool FC In A Crisis?

Not going to read such articles because 4 losses in a row is clearly a crisis but an observation. Spending massive amounts on several players looks to have unsettled the rest of the team, it looks like the other players are going, well you are a £100m or very expensive player, off you go and win the game for us ordinary ones then. Lost the spirit of a team a little. It looked like major surgery when it didn’t need it.

2.) 20 Oct 2025 08:16:12
In a crisis? I for one blardy well hope so ???.

3.) 20 Oct 2025 09:48:07
I would not say its a crises.
Its not surprising they over achieved last season. They massively over achieved this season in their 1st 5 games winning 4 of them in extra time.
They signed good players it will take time for them to gel.
Left themselves very short at the back in the squad. 3 of their most expensive signings didn't start yesterday.
Im not convinced by slot at all and have not been since the start but he did well last season but their play imo was not good.
Too many football fans imo place too much emphasis on individual players as opposed to the team.
Nice to get one over them but I've seen posts on here slagging their fans for their reaction to this loss by the same people who do the exact same here. I suppose its just soccer fans acting like their sterotype. Pretty stupid.

Not going to pretend I know every in and out at Liverpool but would say one thing.

Trent Alexander Arnold was a unicorn type player who was amazing on the ball (kdb, beckham level passing and crossing) . Criminally under appreciated in this country.

The idea he could be replaced by conor bradley or frimpong is laughable and surprising from Liverpool who are so data driven with their recruitment.

Good post dsg.
It takes time to put a new elements of a team together, Implement new systems with players taking time to adapt to me coaches.
At the moment I don't think the manager knows his best 11 which is understandable.

They have a great squad of players. The new players they have are all top quality but they need time in the league and a new team. I think Losing Jota bless his sole is a massive loss for them. They are light at the back but that's about it.

Salah is really off form and last year he had something like 50 goal/ assists if i am not mistaken and they are very dependent on him.

Once they gel they will be a difficult team and will still be there come end of season challenging for the league imo.

Liverpool are a good team but the PSG games highlighted that they've work to do to be a great side. Some of that might come from their younger players - especially in midfield - getting more experience. What they are really good at is taking their chances. Salah, Van Dijk and Allison are truly elite players. I don't think it's particularly controversial to say that they are the only ones that fall in that category. Trent, for example, is great at some things but poor in other aspects so I think Liverpool can absorb his loss. Like I said, they've a bunch of good players outside of them, but letting those three go would be an Ed Woodward level of stupidity.

2.) 13 Mar 2025 11:15:55
Darwin is their weak link too. They need to upgrade him to get to the next level.

3.) 13 Mar 2025 12:17:27
Darwin has gone backwards IMO.
But hats off to Slot. I believe he has only purchased Chiesa, who I've not even seen. A good example of either a manager using what is at his disposal in the correct way, and of the club headhunting the right man with a similar approach as Klopp.
