I appreciate you struggle to take on board a lot of things, after all, you are Manchester United. A name synonymous with winning, having the good fortune to have had a truly great manager in Alex Ferguson and winning a huge amount of trophies.

Now it is all about your history, a style you played or a great player you had and how you miss that or them but the world of football changes and you as a club are failing to keep up with it.

The latter part of SAF and his followers has seen little but mistakes, whilst quality players have moved elsewhere over those years none in reality have gone your way, left with the likes of Fellaini, Herrera, Mata etc or flops like Di Maria and at this moment Pogba. Have any of you actually seen him play to his supposed ability and more importantly is that ability better than say Silva, Ozil, Kante, Coutinho or numerous other quality midfielders In the premier league, irrelevant of the exact position they play, I'm simply talking quality.

So whilst the likes of De Bruyne, Sanchez, Costa, Kante, Sane, Ozil, Gundogan, Kroos, Modric, Bale, Suarez, Fabregas, Thiago etc, many if not all you have been linked with, have all gone else where you have bought badly.

Added to that the 3 managers and like it or lump it Mourinho failed with us and is clearly failing with you all leads to you still going backwards.

You have been guilty again of over hyping performances and players because it's what you want to believe rather than what you are actually seeing.

You cannot tell me that you didn't watch us vs City and see the gulf in quality from both those teams, the gulf in quality aside from that they lost to the football Liverpool, Arsenal and even Tottenham are playing in comparison to you.

Did you watch West Brom win, Crystal Palace win, Stoke win and think we are playing so much better football than them. You are not.

You have extolled the virtues of your side against a woeful Northampton Town, an awful Swansea and a weakened West Ham, weakened even further in the actual game by injury and you genuinely believe that is from playing quality football.

You state countless times that this is a banter site about opinions but mercilessly slaughter Beast because he has his eyes wide open as do others but it doesn't fit into the United way or ethos.

You have GDS2 giving everyone the opinion he believes they should have.

There is little doubt you have some quality but it simply isn't enough quality and your manager is only going to drag you further into the mire, he is toxic and I'm so glad he will never be at my club again. A horrible horrible man.

Marcellus I don't know if this is a wind up but it worries me that I can see a lot of sense in this post.

2.) 05 Dec 2016 14:40:24
For a change MAZE no it's not a wind up just an honest opinion looking from outside in.

3.) 05 Dec 2016 15:16:08
I think every United supporter will begrudgingly admit that there's a lot of work to be done and we're certainly in a transitional phase at the moment. But, like it or not Marcellus, we will be serial winners again. Must admit that Conte doing fantastic job though - wish we'd signed Kante!

4.) 05 Dec 2016 15:49:25
Pffftt guff .

5.) 05 Dec 2016 15:52:32
I don't think anyone is saying we have played great football, just better football than last season. The results don't match up with the performances.

We can't compare ourselves to other clubs as we have our own road to walk. Other teams are ahead of us atm, and we have allowed that to happen. But we can't make up that ground in a couple of months, we can't solve it by just spending money. The club needs direction, consistency and investment not just financial but time and effort.

6.) 05 Dec 2016 15:58:13
Not sure how you class Jose a failure.

Says a lot about your club if you class him a failure.

{Ed007's Note - Did a Chelsea fan really take the time to sit and write that length of post about Man Utd?}

7.) 05 Dec 2016 16:59:44
Jose is not a failure in any way and he will be embedded in CFC history as one of the greatest!

8.) 05 Dec 2016 17:13:08
The rot started when the Glazer's took over and saddled us with £600m in debt. SAF did wonders holding it together but we failed to replace any of our stars with equal quality, nor to develop and/ or hold on to any of our academy. The sale of Ronaldo presaged what was to come.

Tom Cleverley is a symbol of what our youth development had become. Couple that with the club's arrogance in trying to buck the evolving transfer business models. In this respect one name says it all: Bebe. We were conned then and we've been being conned since. Mata, Fellaini? The transfer market has been a disaster painted against a bacground of 4 completely different managers with different styles and philosophies.

That said. I do believe we have been playing better and, crucially, more entertaining football this season despite the point count. And I'm prepared to give Jose until the end of the season before coming to a final judgment. Given the depth of the malaise that's the least we can do. It's all very well for you to come on to this site now that you're doing well again (having all but disappeared last year), but bear in mind how much easier Chelsea and Liverpool's tasks are with no European football.

You are no doubt being flattered by the Leicester City affect and a lucky result on Saturday following what should have been an early David Luis red card and the miss of the season by de Bruyne.

9.) 05 Dec 2016 17:42:59
Marcellus back to becoming a regular poster again, now Chelsea are back at the top. Where were you last season?

10.) 05 Dec 2016 18:14:42
Marcellous comes on this page criticising our club, "being nice on the way up" (ffs), calling probably Chelsea's most successful manager a horrible, horrible man. But being nice on the way up? What's marcellous's view on fabregas'slap yesterday? More importantly what's marcellous'so view on the whole Gary Johnson affair regarding Chelsea? All nice on the way up? Such a hypocritical post I don't even know why I'm bothering to even reply.

11.) 05 Dec 2016 19:35:06
It's a fact supasub, if you give it large when you're winning you are leaving yourself open to getting both barrels on the way down however long that lasts. Have you not endeavoured to give me stick after are woeful showing at the hands of Mourinho who what ever way you look at it he failed on many many fronts.

I loved the original Mourinho I loathe this whining moaning version.

Fabregas was embarrassing, even looking back to check the barrier before falling over it. He's got away with the slap, plenty do, doesn't mean I like it.

As for the cover up, your efforts to bring that into the discussion says little for you.

If people have covered for a dispicable crime I hope they throw the book at them. There are no excuses for that on any level.

Why are you so bitter fella.

12.) 05 Dec 2016 20:54:32
Your club paying £50k is an attempted cover up. Your club. And you attack new Mourinho but not old Mourinho. You have no credibility changing your arguments, and never even posting on your own page.

13.) 05 Dec 2016 21:37:32
Marcellus. How on earth can you or any supposed Chelsea fan call mourinho a failure. Do you not have any respect for the guy? Before he came, you lot hadn't won anything of note in over 50 years. Trust me, I've been there and seen it.
Mourinho won the league with these players 18 months ago, you seem to have forgotten that. He saw something was not right at the beginning of last season and called for the players to respond. And some turned on him. Rest is history.
I was delighted you won on Saturday as I would take any team over City or the scourers. But you rode your luck, City could and should have scored 4 in the first half. But you played well in 2nd half and ended up winners. Sometimes, it needs luck to win these matches, aguero missing two sitters. De Bruyne missing an open goal from 3 yards. It's working at the moment and good luck.
It's not working for United at present, we are playing well apart from two matches but you're right that we are miles behind the likes of Chelsea city arsenal spurs and even the scourers. We will give mourinho time and see what happens.
Enjoy the rest of the season.

FAO ED04,

Ed,

As an editor of this site you get Carte Blanche to do as you will and say what you like in relation to posts submitted, obviously with some restrictions on really saying what you want to say on occasion.

Now earlier you commented on one of my posts and also mentioned me on one from Valley Gooner, using on both occasions the term bitter.

Now you can I'm sure look through any or all of my posts and perhaps you could enlighten me as what you perceive to be bitter. As a Chelsea fan I have zero to be bitter about. Roman saved my club from Christ knows what and through his love of football has brought us more Trophies over his term than Sir Alex has brought to United in that time. So being bitter doesn't add up. I might not agree with everything he does but Chelsea is my club, end of.

Now on the other hand reading your page over the last 6 months and seeing so much coming back to bite you boys in the ass is a beautiful thing and I have made the most of that. You may recall that I'm a fan of cut and paste; I'm sure if not Brendan81 will remind you.

So what I have had the great pleasure in doing over the last few months is saving a lot of the gems posted on here from a variety of posters then cobbling them together and reposting with the wording changed slightly so it's not so obvious. Maybe at the end of each I should have given a list of credits. Lol.

Thus you gentlemen then lay into me slagging what you've already said yourselves, or you ignore the relevant points and simply pick up on your clubs history, I'm classless etc etc. It really is as simple as that and to see so many things come back to haunt you guys is I have to say bloody fantastic.

It was only in the summer it was all City have wasted £90 million on crap players, oh no they haven't have they, Sydney! And his fantastic predictions, CTR and his belief he is the king of all posters and the world's greatest speller.

I mean, never in my wildest dreams did I think you'd be struggling to make top six no matter how poor your squad really is. That was another gem of Syds! Agreed with by many of this strongest squad bollox or that your squad was better than Arsenal's but they were just playing better.

Simple truth is you guys have dished it out over many of the pages, where are Sydney! and CTR on the Liverpool page now. Nowhere.

I do have to be honest and say you have some great posters on here, genuine fans who are honest, say it like it is and don't get wrapped up in the cr4p, Johndenton, Danny Pughunited, Mick, Peashooter, Nomidfield, Deeps, redseven, Honeybadger, Shappy and many others, I'll even include AJH although he painfully missed the stats post. Another thing you guys love to use when it suits and I've had great fun with.

I don't think for a minute that United won't come back but whilst you're down people are going to give you some stick. Like Ed02 has said to many on here, Suck it up!

So don't make the mistake of thinking I'm bitter, not an ounce of it, just making hay whilst the sun shines.

Marcellus Wallace

{Ed004's Note - Bitter can be described as 'Resulting from or expressive of severe grief, anguish, or disappointment'. The fact that you relish in trying to put utd fans down while their team is performing badly IMO shows how disappointed you were in the achievements of your team last year and the grief amongst Chelsea fans that are throwing hundreds of millions around they could only achieve 3rd in the league. Ask Ed 2 have showed signs of doubting Moyes but I still 100% support him and feel we will get through this hard time and will come back stronger. I think now shows what fans truly are bitter of utds success by the way they come onto this site now and try to take pride or a sense of achievement from us struggling. I've never called anyone bitter who has delivered a balanced argument or had a civilised discussion about utd or other clubs ie banter. However, since you looked back at Brendan former posts
"mean seriously, you lot or Bayern Munich. You really need a reallity check and I've got a great feeling "this is your year" to get it!

David Moyes. That is a beautiful thing!"
And
"Having blocked attempts to safe guard Old Trafford, when they sell it where do you imagine the Glazers will put the new stadium.

I would think further south to be honest to save all that travelling. Do you guys remember when we battered you up at Old Trafford at the end of last season and all you lot were leaving early and we were singing, "Race you back to London""
Now how do those not stink of a fan who is bitter? They offer no constructive criticism, they offer no banter, they are just petty digs to get a reaction}

1.) Tssss.

2.) Yep you're right, you don't sound bitter at all.

3.) Worst case of PMT I've ever seen, Marcellus.

4.) Wow this guy has issues lol

{Ed007's Note - I don't know about being bitter but he must be one of the creepiest posters I have ever came across! His folks must have blocked the naughty sites so he has nothing else to do after school:

'So what I have had the great pleasure in doing over the last few months is saving a lot of the gems posted on here from a variety of posters then cobbling them together and reposting with the wording changed slightly so it's not so obvious. Maybe at the end of each I should have given a list of credits. Lol.'

What normal person does stuff like that?}

5.) Wow, what a ride. must of been so fun.

I bet you went through a lot of tissues when editing your months worth of posts you've been saving.

You're a very sad, disturbed individual. with way too much time (among other things) on your hands.

{Ed007's Note - I've locked the doors and checked Ed002's chastity belt is secure, we're safe for now.}

6.) You have too much time on your hands. you're likely reading this in your dark room as you hang old posts from Sydney up to dry. stalker

7.) Marcellus, can't believe you took time out of your day to write that pile of crap

8.) Re worded what this really says is '' damn I've had a right couple of months here with my intelligence or lack of it being highlighted for all to see, I won't mention last friday when I announced my leaving after another mauling, so ill carefully pretend everything I have written is just a re-worded posts for u lot.'

Lol king of posters really? I have never claimed or acted like that, but the fact u come on here saying that gives us a litte insight into your bitter filled mind dnt u think?

Likewise I never really posted on the liverpool sight, not saying I ain't but never made it a habit to do so.

Im getting kind of worried now young chap, u seem to be stalking me and memorizing my posts.

Love love the way u still lobby others on here through either fear of being found out for what u are or maybe u dnt have many friends either is quite sad.

Although I could be totally wrong which would make your post even more embarrassing lol.

Gd bye mate we prob won't se u again for a while ;-)

9.) Bond,

Fantastic reply to possibly the most bitter post I have ever seen. I don't even think he will understand the irony behind anything he wrote either which makes it even better.

I read something the other day that said 'the only thing that annoys me about other clubs fans taking great success from united playing badly is that I wasn't more of a gloating tw*t over the last 20 years.' I don't 100% agree with this as I think quietly being on the higher ground is the best place to be, but it did make me smile.

I spoke to a Liverpool fan yesterday who said if they finished 5th and we finished 6th he would see it as a successful season, sums them up perfectly to me.

10.) My god I was joking in past posts about having a stalker, but now i'm genuinely scared :-) this guy is seriously weird. don't know about Marcellus Wallace, more like Chip Douglas in the film Cable Guy.

{Ed039's Note - LMFAO ..... good one)

11.) What does marcellus wallace look like?

12.) I could try and post a picture but the moderator will not allow it :)

Brendan81,

Just like to apologise for incorrectly stating that you had tipped United for the title. I know you've said 3 times you haven't and like you say I'm sure the regulars will vouch for you.

Thus I can only assume when you posted the below back in September you meant Newcatle United to win the league and that you felt Manchester United were so bad you wouldn't even make the top ten.

07 Sep 2013 18:52:19
Put this on yesterday but don't think it was posted.

Everyone seems to be putting predictions on, so here are my top 10 for this season.

1.United
2.City
3.Chelsea
4.Spurs
5.Arsenal
6.Southampton
7.Liverpool
8.Villa
9.Everton
10.Swansea

Brendan81.

If that is the case do you see today's game against Villa important in your battle to stay up?

Marcellus Wallace

1.) He's not the only 1 who is premature in his posts. We play Villa 2moro.

2.) Brendan81 - Marcellus is still an person, but he has stitched you RIGHT up there, mate.

3.) Hmm Marcellus I wonder how many predictions u have got right over the years?
Dnt worry that's not a threat!

Brenden I think classellus has a new man crush, ohhh lucky u lol

4.) That post was in the midst of everyone wanting to top themselves on here at the poor transfer window and trying to get a bit of positivity going. If you want to spend a few more hours and carry on searching my posts (sad b*stard) you'll find all the posts I have made stating we'll finish top four and no better. You do seem to be far too interested in me though I have to say. A bit worrying when we all know what you Chelsea fans do for a living. Let me just re-iterate, I am not interested in you or your assless leather chaps, and I will not be handing over any money.

Hope that that is clear enough for you, although you are southern, so probably not the brightest.

5.) Brendan, your last comment made me laugh but more because you probably just insulted most of the utd fans reading.

I'm a confirmed northerner but I'll leave you in that hole on your own. no way I'm jumping in with you.

6.) Ha ha come on Andrew don't be soft :-) southern United fans have to be given extra credit though, as they have obviously had the brains to choose our great club, so they aren't your typical brain dead southerner ;-)

04 Nov 2013 15:33:16
After a great run of wins against a poor Swansea and then Sunderland, Stoke, Palace and Fulham I can totally undestand your feelings that your back.

Sydney! How's the prediction that you'll be top by bonfire night panning out?

Marcellus Wallace

1.) Haha everytime marcellus, very predictable now, that's rite u deflect that attention away again!
How are those niggling doubts now?

2.) Hi Marcellus! I have not bothered replying to anything you have ever said! However you seem like a football fan, and not blinded by your own team! Syd loves United like us all, and speaks a lot of sense! So let's look at the season so far! United have played Livepool, Chelsea and rubbishty and despite our poor start are only 3 points off second place! Some bad start? This is what we do! Forget Fergie and Moyes, we kick in at the start of the year, and we have reeled better teams than what is ahead before! Wait and see?

3.) Nice game at Newcastle, really enjoyed it. How many points are we behind the great Chelski and we haven't even played a great game yet. If not for Joe Hart we would be level.

4.) My prediction was wrong, however I thought that would be the case after the WBA game. But let's not forget MU are just 3 points off 2nd. And Arsenal are yet to play ourselves, Chelsea or City. The table is starting to take shape now and I think it will be very close come Christmas. I do not see Arsenal being there at the end of the season. I still believe the title is between ourselves, Chelsea and City.

5.) Marcellus you're not that bright are you, I mean if you take into consideration the big teams we've already played against the teams you lot have played? Not to mention the fact that you've got a big manager in Mourinho that's already been at your club so he needed no time to settle in yet he's hardly been above average. Moyes is only going to get better. Losing to a team like Newcastle that have only won 4 games and lost just as many don't see how you think you're season is looking much better.

Can't imagine we're going to see your name around here come the end of the season.

Ed25 In neither of my posts was I rude or abusive, I took the mick because Beano said about it being a great performance. Really.

GDS2 loves to give every one his opinion as there's and is a perfect example of why posters give them a little grief. It's not his fault but for him it's difficult to see the wood for the trees.

If you believe they are delicate flowers and can't take it then fair enough but who in this thread is being rude to who mate.

Marcellus Wallace

{Ed025's Note - now thats banter marcellus, its opinionated but within reason and thats all good, all im saying is that visiting other teams pages is fine but please treat it with the same respect you would want a visitor to show on your site mate..

Oh sorry ed I didn't realise that banter involved brown nosing or buttering opposing fans up.

They deluded themselves that things would get better under Moyes, then better under LVG and now because they have the speshul one they have a belief that the performance tonight against some woeful European minnows is a step forward.

The Southampton game is more exciting. They need to suck up what the gave in spades when they were winning things and the post below sums the majority of them up that when they start winning they can't wait to ram it down people's throats again.

05 Dec 2016 20:48:33
Wow, surely we all want to shove it down rival fans throats when we hit the heights again? This place isn't what it used to be, I was right to stop posting for a while, embarrassing. Have a great Christmas guys.

No offence to you ed but they've given it large and as usual hate it coming back at them.

Marcellus Wallace

{Ed025's Note - 2 wrongs have never made a right marcellus, im not asking you to be mr nice guy and laud up the united side mate but banter is supposed to be about fun and discussion not a slanging match, just coming on another teams page to spout bile and hatred is just not on, and if the shoe was on the other foot i would be saying the same thing, there is enough hatred in this world without it spilling into things we enjoy...its the season of joy and goodwill to all men...and that includes united supporters im afraid.. :)
