Hi Ed002,

Apologies if it has been asked, i couldn't see it in the comments.

Would the milenkovic enquiry be as an alternative to maguire? Or could utd look to both?

As always, thanks for your insight.

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - It would be an alternatative.}

1.) 11 Jul 2019 22:39:43
Thank you ed.

2.) 12 Jul 2019 00:27:26
We have been quoted £50mil by Newcastle for Longstaff according to multiple sources. It's really ridiculous and we should walk away and play Garner instead. I like Longstaff but for that valuation we could get Thomas Partey who has European and international experience.

3.) 12 Jul 2019 07:11:54
We were quoted 70m for AWB as well, then ended up paying 45m with a further 5m in add ons. A third less than we were quoted.

I suppose that's how negotiation works.

Partey would be a good replacement for Herrera. But then so would Longstaff long term.

I expect we'll sign Longstaff for around 20-25m with maybe 5m in add ons.

{Ed004's Note - That is what Im expecting to happen as well}

13 Jan 2016 11:23:53
Gianluigi Donnarumma apparently a £30mil target. The kid is just 16!
With De Gea more than likely off in the summer, would people like to see a young lad given the chance or someone who is vastly experienced?

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 13 Jan 2016 12:48:34
Definitely experience. Lloris or Butland.

2.) 13 Jan 2016 13:22:06
16 is young but the lad has barely put a foot wrong, he's keeping Diego Lopez out of the Milan team. DDG was only young and inexperienced when we signed him, didn't turn out so bad. But I don't think we'd be interested and nor would he. Got Juventus written all over him, replace Gigi when he retires I think.

3.) 13 Jan 2016 17:06:21
Cant really see Milan selling. And far too young for us.

4.) 13 Jan 2016 20:38:59
We'll swap Fellani. Can someone let them know?

5.) 14 Jan 2016 10:28:28
Id swap Fellaini for a pack of skittles.

6.) 14 Jan 2016 12:39:09
Real Madrid banned from transfers next 2 windows looks like ddg staying for now!

Afternoon eds,

Do you have any updates on the futures of henriquez, janko and Varella?
I understand both varella and henriquez have the options to be purchased by there respected loan clubs. Do you see them being snapped up?

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed004's Note - Henriquez confirmed yesterday that he is leaving. Varela will stay at Madrid I think and haven't heard anything about Janko}

1.) 09 May 2015 13:56:41
Thanks for the prompt response!

{Ed004's Note - I would expect Janko to stay at the club. He could get a loan next season}

2.) 09 May 2015 14:09:43
A player with decent potential. Would no doubt be out of his depth starting week in week out in for a team in the premiership atm.

Hi Eds,

Just had a look on the other pages and noticed that one of you posted about utd being interested in Clyne and coleman. I know rumours suggest that we did get sounded out fir Dani Alves, but i was just wondering if there were any new names for right back that we are interested in? Personally, i like the torino lad, darmain.
Also, does anyone know how the lad from bolton, Andy Kellet has been getting on and if utd might buy him?

Any replies are appreciated as always!

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea about players from Bolton. I have explained where I know of interest and it is frustrating to have to do the same thing over and over. But once more: There is interest in River Plate's Cancelo. Coleman would be expensive and remains "not for sale". Perhaps Clyne would be a better option. Alves is negotiating with Barcelona again. Danilo of Porto has been looked at but is heading elsewhere. Darmain was looked at but there is no interest right now.

1.) 04 May 2015 12:48:18
Thanks ed, i do use the search function a lot tbh. Only wanted to see if there were any new players added to the list. Cheers

28 Mar 2015 11:17:03
Morning eds!

Just wondering if we have any interest in the young Austrian lad, Valentino Lazaro? Can play a number of postions, including Right back. RB Salzburg have a number of quality young players that could potentially have great careers IMO.
Thanks in advance.

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - None.}

With manolas going to Napoli and kabak off to Schalke, respectively. can any of the eds share an update with regards to any new centre backs arriving at Utd? I
Cannot believe Manolas has gone for £32m, unbelievable price for a Centre back of his quality!

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed from the list I provided. None of this is relevant to Manchester United.}

1.) 01 Jul 2019 09:14:59
If you read what ED002 0it, Manolas was available for around €50 to English clubs.

2.) 01 Jul 2019 09:12:28
Cheers Ed for your reply. Sorry, i was just pointing out about manolas and i remembered you had him on the 'Defenders of interest'. Thanks again 👍.

{Ed002's Note - You should go and read what I said Palawan.}

Rooney, he is about to break the england goalscoring record. Does anybody actually think he is an all time english great?
Personally, i believe the lad to be an english great and a Utd legend. His play might frustrate most of the time, but you can't help think he's trying his hardest 9 times out of 10. Love him or loathe him, what are peoples thoughts?

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 03 Sep 2015 17:35:43
He has to be, in 30 years time people won't remember the consistently sub-standard performances, they will just look at the record books and see highlights of the great goals.

I saw a montage of Rooney's best goals the other day and thought "wow, what a player he was". Only a legend could still be cashing in on their reputation to the extent Rooney has.

I don't like him and I don't rate him anymore, but he was special and to be top scorer of club and country is a great achievement.

2.) 03 Sep 2015 17:37:09
Do we really need to have this debate again? I think we have done it to death this year. Some love him and think he a legend, some think he is good, some think he is average (yes really), some think he has never fulfilled his potential, some dislike him for demanding a move, some dislike him for his unsavoury off field behaviour. We can debate it but people are pretty entrenched in their opinions.

3.) 03 Sep 2015 18:38:10
For a lot of fans now no, but I agree, in years to come people will just look at the records and he will be put up there with Charlton etc, rightly or wrongly.

08 Aug 2015 11:50:43
Would i be right in saying that a spanish clubs release fee is only aplicable to spanish teams?
Maybe that's why utd are haggling and Can't rather than Not willing to pay the release fee qouted.

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 08 Aug 2015 12:34:07
As was seen with the Herrera deal as an example, clubs outside Spain can transfer the money to the player, who will then buy himself out of his contract, and sign for the club. However, this means tax has to be taken i to consiteration, and at the €30m which is Pedro's release clause, you are talking maybe an extra €10m in tax.

I think we will get him for the €30m Barca want, but under their terms, ie. when they are ok to let him go.

Better having him miss 2 matches, than pay an extra third on top of the price, which could be invested into another position.

I believe I have explained this correctly, do correct me if i'm wrong, Ed's.

{Ed004's Note - I'm pretty sure that's how it works}

21 Jul 2015 13:09:51
Charlie austin anyone?

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 21 Jul 2015 13:44:54
Quite a sensible shout actually, haha.

2.) 21 Jul 2015 13:45:10
i said that.

he wouldn't cost a lot and wages wouldn't be much, he proved he can score goals and would be happy not to be first choice all of the time.

3.) 21 Jul 2015 14:28:06
18 goals for a relegated team with minimum chance creation. I would take him to be our backup striker

4.) 21 Jul 2015 14:29:32
Congratulations Ed. You know right up until your walking down the aisle it's never too late to change your mind. :)

{Ed001's Note - please don't tell the missus that, I am worried she will get over the sun stroke before I can seal the deal......}

02 Jul 2015 10:55:47
Reading between the lines, i'm assuming we are one of the clubs in for Vidal and Schneiderlin is also on the cards? Maybe i'm adding 2+2 and getting 5 ha.
I think our next signing will be a CB, then schneid and lastly Vidal. I personally think RVP will stay, unless someone who was previously an unrealistic option becomes available(lacazette, Cavani, Higuin etc).
Thoughts lads?

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 02 Jul 2015 11:13:11
We can't be sure of exactly who we are going for.

But I think our next signing will be Schneiderlin. I then think it will be a centre back, hopefully Sergio Ramos. We will then probably turn our attention to Coleman, unless LVG is happy with Valencia and Varela. Then hopefully Vidal. I don't think we will manage to get another forward, but if we get Coleman, Sergio Ramos, Schneiderlin and Vidal we would be sweet, as well as a new keeper. There is too much to do to sign a top forward as well I would think.

2.) 02 Jul 2015 11:22:27
Think Schneiderlin will come to us, Vidal will end up at Madrid, hoping we sort something out for Ramos but not going to hold my breath.

As for RVP it looks like they are looking to get another striker in so i think he will be on his way soon.

3.) 02 Jul 2015 11:26:11
I think coleman is nailed on tbh, forgot to put that in the OP. Coleman will probs arrive later on in the window. I can't see LVG going for a keeper, i can see him sticking with Valdes and possibly look again in Jan. Would love De Gea to stay and tbh, i'd keep him for that extra year and let him go for free than sell him for less than £20m. Looking at the posts ed002 put in january, we may still have interest in Joel Veltman, Kongolo or Hummells(done to death) for the CB options. None of the eds have actually said Otamendi is a target have they?

4.) 02 Jul 2015 11:28:03
Lyon would accept a significant bid for lacazette and with City having their FFP issues, Chelsea playing 1 which is Costa perhaps we should strike while the iron is hot.
If arsenal signed lacazette and Carvalho this summer they'll take some beating.

5.) 02 Jul 2015 12:09:53
Lyon said they will only listen to offers from £22m and up? We should bid £24m for Lacazette and I'd say that'd be a deal! The guys 24 yet to peek and I'd say bargain!

On another note, when Di Maria was at Madrid, even though he's left footed, he's better on the right side, Depay, Lacazette Di Maria front three scary thought!

Or, if Di Maria goes to PSG, Felipe Anderson HAS to be brought in!

6.) 02 Jul 2015 12:37:50
Lacazette is a no brainer but I don't believe that Lyon would take anything less than £30 million.

7.) 02 Jul 2015 12:51:11
Reports say minimum £22m? Although he is worthy of a '£30m price tag due to his age? But I'd say go with £22m if it's rejected we know where we'll stand! But I would say they'd snap our hands off at £25m!

8.) 02 Jul 2015 13:10:46

I am unsure it is that simple, do we then kipnap the player?

9.) 02 Jul 2015 14:19:00
Hold him to ransom until he signs or pull the trigger and move on, I know some dodgy characters, I'll get them involved! Haha!

Away from Lacazette, what is Shaquiri doing signing for Stoke!?

That's why ANYTHING is possible!

10.) 02 Jul 2015 14:50:30
pull the trigger and move haha, awesome

11.) 02 Jul 2015 20:20:56
Ronnie you ask why shaquiri is potentially joining stoke and in my opinion its due to the pl rights. There is lots of money swilling around due to this cash influx and i can see this making the pl very interesting as a lot of clubs will have injections of quality bought this year. I think there will be lots of points dropped against the so called lesser sides.

{Ed007's Note - The new TV deal doesn't start until 2016/17.}

12.) 02 Jul 2015 21:34:58
Doesnt it ed i didn't know and assumed it was this year as clubs are being linked with players you wouldn't assume they could entice. Thanks for the info though as its always good to know the right facts.

{Ed007's Note - I know what you're saying mate and I actually went and double checked before answering you as I had never thought about it that way.}

Just been told that everton have agreed to sell Lukaku back to Chelsea. I don't know the full details other than that he has agreed to the move and it will be announced shortly. This comes from someone at the club.

By the looks of what was said on the city page, Stones is interesting them. I can see them going all out for him IMO. I like Stones and i go to the majority of the Everton home games, but he is not what we need. We need a solid CB, think Mustafi/ Benatia/ Godin.
