Hi ed, sorry if this has been asked, but is there any actual truth that Utd are looking to take Marko Arnautović?

I can understand a fair bit of negativity for Both Rabiot and Arnautović as it's for all purposes names we haven't been linked with.

Personally, I'm happy for ETH to bring in his own players who are established internationals and allow the younger players like Garnacho/ Iqbal to still get minutes. It's not desperation, it's identifying different targets and bringing the right people/ profile to the club. Not saying personality wise, but positionally. Both are upgrades on what we have and offer a fair bit of fight/ passion.

Cheers as always for your info.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, there is interest. Makes no sense to me.}

Thanks Ed.

Hi, Have Man Utd agreed a deal to sign Boubacar Kamara? I knew there was interest from a fair few sides.

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - There is no formal agreement with any side at the moment.}

1.) 28 Apr 2022 12:06:35
Thanks Ed, have a good one ?.

2.) 29 Apr 2022 13:09:10
I've heard the race for Boubacar Kamara is very close, it might even be a photo finish.

3.) 29 Apr 2022 16:56:36
???? Shappy that was funny.

4.) 30 Apr 2022 16:39:31
I think he's just a FLASH in the pan, but his effort might EXPOSE a lack of effort in others and bring our deep set issues into sharp FOCUS.

Hi Ed, is Lucas Ocampos available for loan?
Tried searching, but 2013 posts came up!

Cheers 👍.

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - As I explained - he would be another alternative for Sancho but not on loan.}

1.) 05 Oct 2020 14:10:45
Thanks Ed.

Hi Ed002,

Apologies if it has been asked, i couldn't see it in the comments.

Would the milenkovic enquiry be as an alternative to maguire? Or could utd look to both?

As always, thanks for your insight.

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - It would be an alternatative.}

1.) 11 Jul 2019 22:39:43
Thank you ed.

2.) 12 Jul 2019 00:27:26
We have been quoted £50mil by Newcastle for Longstaff according to multiple sources. It's really ridiculous and we should walk away and play Garner instead. I like Longstaff but for that valuation we could get Thomas Partey who has European and international experience.

3.) 12 Jul 2019 07:11:54
We were quoted 70m for AWB as well, then ended up paying 45m with a further 5m in add ons. A third less than we were quoted.

I suppose that's how negotiation works.

Partey would be a good replacement for Herrera. But then so would Longstaff long term.

I expect we'll sign Longstaff for around 20-25m with maybe 5m in add ons.

{Ed004's Note - That is what Im expecting to happen as well}

Gianluigi Donnarumma apparently a £30mil target. The kid is just 16!
With De Gea more than likely off in the summer, would people like to see a young lad given the chance or someone who is vastly experienced?

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 13 Jan 2016 12:48:34
Definitely experience. Lloris or Butland.

2.) 13 Jan 2016 13:22:06
16 is young but the lad has barely put a foot wrong, he's keeping Diego Lopez out of the Milan team. DDG was only young and inexperienced when we signed him, didn't turn out so bad. But I don't think we'd be interested and nor would he. Got Juventus written all over him, replace Gigi when he retires I think.

3.) 13 Jan 2016 17:06:21
Cant really see Milan selling. And far too young for us.

4.) 13 Jan 2016 20:38:59
We'll swap Fellani. Can someone let them know?

5.) 14 Jan 2016 10:28:28
Id swap Fellaini for a pack of skittles.

6.) 14 Jan 2016 12:39:09
Real Madrid banned from transfers next 2 windows looks like ddg staying for now!

Hi Ed,

Utd had a young russian, Sergey Pinyaev on trial at the club earlier this year. Did anything come of it?

Cheers.

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - He is not of an age where he can move.}

1.) 29 Sep 2020 22:10:31
At over 40, it seems neither am I sadly.

2.) 29 Sep 2020 22:19:16
Ahh, makes sense. Cheers Ed.

3.) 29 Sep 2020 23:35:34
Pabawan, he’s been on trial a number of times now and apparently there’s an agreement in place with him to come here. What I was told by someone who would go to all the games etc so thought I’d share.

4.) 30 Sep 2020 00:11:27
I am 58 and can move no problem. to get another beer 😂.

5.) 30 Sep 2020 07:52:54
Thanks Caolan 👍👍.

30 Jun 2019 23:58:54
With manolas going to Napoli and kabak off to Schalke, respectively. can any of the eds share an update with regards to any new centre backs arriving at Utd? I
Cannot believe Manolas has gone for £32m, unbelievable price for a Centre back of his quality!

Pabawan Jnr

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed from the list I provided. None of this is relevant to Manchester United.}

1.) 01 Jul 2019 09:14:59
If you read what ED002 0it, Manolas was available for around €50 to English clubs.

2.) 01 Jul 2019 09:12:28
Cheers Ed for your reply. Sorry, i was just pointing out about manolas and i remembered you had him on the 'Defenders of interest'. Thanks again 👍.

{Ed002's Note - You should go and read what I said Palawan.}

Rooney, he is about to break the england goalscoring record. Does anybody actually think he is an all time english great?
Personally, i believe the lad to be an english great and a Utd legend. His play might frustrate most of the time, but you can't help think he's trying his hardest 9 times out of 10. Love him or loathe him, what are peoples thoughts?

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 03 Sep 2015 17:35:43
He has to be, in 30 years time people won't remember the consistently sub-standard performances, they will just look at the record books and see highlights of the great goals.

I saw a montage of Rooney's best goals the other day and thought "wow, what a player he was". Only a legend could still be cashing in on their reputation to the extent Rooney has.

I don't like him and I don't rate him anymore, but he was special and to be top scorer of club and country is a great achievement.

2.) 03 Sep 2015 17:37:09
Do we really need to have this debate again? I think we have done it to death this year. Some love him and think he a legend, some think he is good, some think he is average (yes really), some think he has never fulfilled his potential, some dislike him for demanding a move, some dislike him for his unsavoury off field behaviour. We can debate it but people are pretty entrenched in their opinions.

3.) 03 Sep 2015 18:38:10
For a lot of fans now no, but I agree, in years to come people will just look at the records and he will be put up there with Charlton etc, rightly or wrongly.

08 Aug 2015 11:50:43
Would i be right in saying that a spanish clubs release fee is only aplicable to spanish teams?
Maybe that's why utd are haggling and Can't rather than Not willing to pay the release fee qouted.

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 08 Aug 2015 12:34:07
As was seen with the Herrera deal as an example, clubs outside Spain can transfer the money to the player, who will then buy himself out of his contract, and sign for the club. However, this means tax has to be taken i to consiteration, and at the €30m which is Pedro's release clause, you are talking maybe an extra €10m in tax.

I think we will get him for the €30m Barca want, but under their terms, ie. when they are ok to let him go.

Better having him miss 2 matches, than pay an extra third on top of the price, which could be invested into another position.

I believe I have explained this correctly, do correct me if i'm wrong, Ed's.

{Ed004's Note - I'm pretty sure that's how it works}

Charlie austin anyone?

Pabawan Jnr

1.) 21 Jul 2015 13:44:54
Quite a sensible shout actually, haha.

2.) 21 Jul 2015 13:45:10
i said that.

he wouldn't cost a lot and wages wouldn't be much, he proved he can score goals and would be happy not to be first choice all of the time.

3.) 21 Jul 2015 14:28:06
18 goals for a relegated team with minimum chance creation. I would take him to be our backup striker

4.) 21 Jul 2015 14:29:32
Congratulations Ed. You know right up until your walking down the aisle it's never too late to change your mind. :)

{Ed001's Note - please don't tell the missus that, I am worried she will get over the sun stroke before I can seal the deal......}

Without sounding daft, but Ole's has allowed the team to play attackive football, hence the goals for and against.

We have played 9 games, since the start of Feb, mainly using the same 11, with the odd player rotation, coupled in with the fact thst Pogba (One of our most influencial players this season) has not played a part in any of those games.

It's not a case of lacking belief in his team, it's sheer tiredness.

I think Ole has lacked the skills to
To utilise possibly one, if not the strongest squad in the premier league.
Same formation week in, week out with the smae players starting. it's easy to be found wanting when other teams adapt.

Icardi, promes and musacchio are the three i would like to see join. Personally think Zlatan would only be a stop gap for next season.
